Chapter 32 Evil Powers

Amidst the clawing black mist, Brian sensed an aura of extreme evil, eeriness, chaos, and madness.

His heart tightened, and he dared not be careless. He activated his Time Manipulation at triple speed, transforming into a white blur and still managing to grab Tancred, evading the encroaching black mist.

As for the Plunder Time Line he had just breathed out, there was no feedback indicating a hit.

This breath had peculiar power but required age to enhance its effect. As a Newborn Dragon less than two years old, Brian found it difficult to unleash the full potential of Plunder Time Line.

He muttered, "This doesn't seem like any standard magic…"

He gazed at the black mist, which enveloped an area about thirty feet in diameter, a trace of apprehension flashing in his Dragon's Eyes.

He keenly felt that this thing was extremely dangerous, definitely not an ordinary magical creation.

Because in Brian's elemental perception as a dragon, the moment the black mist appeared, all elemental energies in the air avoided it like the plague, unwilling to touch it.

Any elemental energy that couldn't escape in time was absorbed by the black mist, becoming part of it.

‘Does William have this kind of power? It feels so evil like it comes from the Abyss or Hell.’ Brian's heart trembled.

The Bottomless Abyss and the Nine Hells were two outer planes ruled respectively by Demons and Devils. Legends of these places existed in countless worlds within the Prime Material Plane, and almost all records about them were negative warnings and reminders due to their destructive nature.

Even the proud dragons had warnings in their Dragon Heritage not to easily provoke Demons and Devils.

Feeling the ominous and evil aura within the black mist, Brian was filled with deep suspicion and turned to look at Tancred.

Tancred stared blankly at the changes before him, completely bewildered. It seemed he was entirely unaware of William's ability to produce this black mist. Once he snapped out of his daze, he shivered and started running away from both Brian and William, even carrying off William's Black Spiked Hammer.

A dull sound suddenly emanated from the black mist like the powerful heartbeat of a giant beast.

The black mist contracted slightly.

After the first heartbeat, strong heartbeats continued to resound, and the black mist rhythmically contracted and was about to condense into a single mass.

Brian who was unwilling to let his opponent transform, opened his mouth and sprayed Frost Breath again, but the black mist flickered like a living creature, shifting sideways to avoid the Frost Breath while continuing to contract.

He attempted to use Plunder Time Line again, but the black mist similarly sensed it and dodged in advance.

Seeing this, Brian became even more cautious.

He spread his Dragon Wings to be ready to take to the sky if things went south.

But it seemed that William within the black mist, had seen through Brian's intentions.

Magic in the form of a white light pillar shot through the black mist, soaring into the sky and rapidly spreading in all directions, quickly covering the sky over a large area.

At the same time, Brian felt his body grow heavy as if bound by some force.

Sensing something amiss, he flapped his Dragon Wings to try to take off, but aside from stirring up a gust of wind, his heavy dragon body showed no sign of lifting off.

[Sky Lock], a spell that suppressed a creature's ability to fly. It was one of the most popular Dragon-Slaying Magics.

Since Brian had not systematically studied magic, he didn't know how to dispel spells, leaving him at a disadvantage. However, he remained unperturbed as it only restricted his ability to fly.

Brian's strength was not just in his flying.

William prayed, "Creator of all things, great and exalted Sun God, your humble follower William offers you the heart of a dragon as tribute. Grant your follower the power of the Sun God, to bathe in dragon blood and proclaim your immortal glory to the world."

A low, devout, and slightly bloodthirsty prayer came from the black mist. As the last syllable fell, the black mist, which had been contracting, completely disappeared, or rather, it fully merged into William's body.

Since William prayed in the Common Language, Brian understood his words.

He was astonished, never expecting this guy to be able to use Divine Magic.

Divine Magic was a form of magic wielded by devout followers who established a connection with a deity in the outer planes through constant prayer, using the unique power granted by the deity to perform various strange and powerful effects.

There was no record of a William who could use Divine Magic in the Dragon Heritage.

Brain said solemnly, "But how could Divine Magic granted by the Sun God feel so evil and chaotic?"

Mentioning the Sun God, almost ninety-nine percent of intelligent beings think of vitality, heat, light, and life... Brian was no exception. Yet, he couldn't reconcile the Divine Magic William cast with the Sun God.

This situation reeked of strangeness, but Brian had no time to ponder further.

Because in his vision, William who knelt with black and writhed vein-like patterns on his body, had released his clasped hands and was slowly standing up, both heads and all four eyes staring at Brian with fanatical bloodlust.

The black veins on William's body, upon closer inspection, seemed like patterns formed by condensed black mist, writhing like living creatures.

The injuries on his body caused by Brian's Frost Breath had already healed under this eerie black mist power.

Moreover, behind William, four thick black tentacles extended, writhing menacingly, each densely covered with ominous eyes that rolled and turned in all directions.

It was a hair-raising sight.

"What the hell is this?" Brian had concluded that the deity William worshipped was definitely not a legitimate entity.

He took a deep breath, and with a roar, unleashed a torrent of icy blue Frost Breath.

As he breathed out the Dragon's Breath, he activated his highest level of Time Acceleration, triple speed.

Consuming a significant amount of temporal power, he extended the triple-speed effect to his Dragon's Breath, making the Frost Breath incredibly fast, almost impossible to dodge, just like when he ambushed William earlier.

But having nearly died from an ambush, William was clearly prepared for a dragon's most famous attack.

He waved his staff, one head chanting obscure spells, while the other opened its foul-smelling mouth, and a fire-red pentagram inscribed with complex runes appeared before it.

Surging fire elements were drawn into the smaller head's mouth like homing birds, transforming into a magma-like crimson glow, even igniting flames in the mouth, raising the temperature around William significantly.

[Dragon's Breath Imitation: Red Dragon's Breath]

In an instant, a powerful Flame Dragon's Breath spewed from the smaller head's mouth, which was magnified by the pentagram, and collided directly with Brian's icy blue Frost Breath.
