Chapter 84 Reuniting with Salia

Following the trace of the time imprint, Brian left Ice Cliff Territory and swiftly dashed toward the northeast, leaving behind a white afterimage.

Before departing, Brian instructed Roy of York and Tancred on the ambush details, ordering them to lead the team to the ambush site.

In contrast to heavily armored human armies new to the Arctic Ice Field, these creatures, native to the extreme northern Ice Field, moved with great speed and were adept at hiding and camouflage.

Especially the ferocious frost tiger.

This thirty-foot-long fierce tiger exuded an imposing aura. Despite its considerable weight, it moved without making a sound, demonstrating extraordinary capabilities in disguise.

At a thousand feet above the ground, the cold wind sliced through Brian's scales like a knife, invigorating him without any other effects.

He looked down at the scene below, his gaze scanning like a radar, gradually enriching his mental map of the Arctic Ice Field and noting the locations where powerful creatures gathered.

For instance, a pack of winter wolves.

Winter wolves appeared similar to ordinary snowfield white wolves but were larger, about nine feet long.

From a distance, they seemed like a harmless group of magical creatures.

However, underestimating them would be a dire and often fatal mistake.

Winter wolves were highly intelligent magical creatures, capable of speaking the common tongue and the giant language. They were cunning, smart, strong, united, and, at times, more dangerous than white dragons or frost giants. This earned them the title of masters of the Ice Field.

They were the most dangerous wolf species in the extreme north, capable of breathing frosty breaths similar to frost breath and wielding many spell-like abilities.

"If these winter wolves could be tamed as subordinates, any human army would be marching to their doom," Brian thought, intrigued by the pack of winter wolves.

However, such a highly intelligent species of wolves was challenging to tame. Proud winter wolves did not see dragons as superior.

He decided to try his luck at taming them later; now wasn't the right time.

As he headed northeast, Brian encountered many intelligent creature communities, magical creatures, sub-human races, and humanoid tribes.

In addition to the winter wolves, there were minotaurs as strong as ogres, trolls, and a tribe of a thousand Ice Field barbarians.

The creatures in this direction of the Ice Field were generally stronger than those Brian had encountered before.

If he could unite them all, it would be enough to establish an unparalleled city of Ice Field creatures.

Before long, Brian reached the new territory of Salia and sensed the familiar faint true dragon aura at the edge.

This area was a cluster of rugged, precipitous snow-covered mountains. As far as the eye could see, towering snow-capped peaks filled the view, with nests of Ice Field creatures vaguely visible. Salia's new dragon's lair was located in one of these moderately high mountains.

The time imprint remained stationary, indicating that Salia was likely sleeping in the dragon's lair.

The little treasure trove was gone, yet she could still sleep soundly... Brian grinned, his platinum dragon eyes gazing toward the direction of the dragon's lair.

The next second, Brian's dragon's might surged like a tide, swiftly reaching the destination.

In a relatively crude cave on the corner of a middle-sized snow mountain, Salia was fast asleep, her face occasionally contorting as if in a bad dream.

Brian's dragon brother and sister were nearby.

For some reason, the three young dragons were wrestling with each other.

Simultaneously, the hurricane-like dragon's might sweep over the young dragons, causing them to freeze in their actions, shivering involuntarily as the fear of their elder brother flooded their minds.

"Brian is here again," Tom muttered, drooping his eyelids.

Since moving to a new home, Salia's mood had worsened, showing signs of self-abandonment. She didn't drive out the powerful creatures from her territory anymore or attempt to gather new subordinates. She spent most of her time sleeping, only occasionally procuring food for the young dragons to keep them from starving.

With frost giants roaming nearby, the young dragons didn't dare to hunt often, leading to frequent hunger.

The next second, the dragon's might swept over Salia's body.

She twitched at first but didn't wake.

However, a few seconds later, as if remembering something, Salia's eyes shot open. She glared toward the cave entrance in anger and fear.

"Did you come to rob me again after taking my territory?"
"Brian, don't think I'm afraid of you!"

Salia said angrily.

On the other side, Brian, hearing that, knew she was afraid of him, and he couldn't help but chuckle.

Flapping his dragon wings, he descended, accurately locating Salia's new dragon's lair through the time imprint.

Compared to the comfortable lair on the five-hundred-foot Ice Cliff, her new home was much cruder. The edges were rugged, the view was blocked by taller snow mountains, and the interior floor and walls were rough and bumpy, showing no signs of refinement.

"It seems you're living a rather pitiful life…"

Brian walked into the dragon's lair unceremoniously, glancing around with a strange look.

At the same time, he saw Salia and his dragon brother and sister he hadn't seen in a while.

The slender and somewhat charming White Dragon Mother now looked angry, glaring at Brian with a mix of fierce hostility and a hint of bluff.

"Rest assured, I am very fond of the Ice Cliff Dragon's Lair; I have no interest in your little cave."

Ignoring the hostility in Salia's eyes, Brian said casually.

Hearing Brian's words, Salia became even angrier, thinking Brian had come specifically to humiliate and mock her.

"If you're not interested, then leave immediately, Brian. You're not welcome here."

Salia said angrily, attempting to discreetly block Brian's view.

This wasn't actually her new dragon's lair. She had lived here briefly when she first entered the Young Dragon stage, only moving out after finding the Ice Cliff Dragon's Lair.

Salia had the foresight to stash a small portion of her treasure here, not much, but it had become her only solace.

However, her unusual actions only aroused Brian's curiosity.

He carefully observed, noticing a few glittering gems and some rough gold nuggets behind Salia.

Realizing Brian had spotted her last bit of treasure, Salia immediately assumed a fighting stance, baring her sharp claws, saying furiously, "If you dare to covet my treasure again, I'll fight you to the death! This is all I have left!"

Brian laughed, not looking at Salia's treasure, and mocked, "Salia, I have no interest in such petty baubles."

Salia snorted coldly, exhaling white frost breaths, still on guard. "Then why did you come here?"
