Chapter: 167 The Lava Pool
If it were just a dragon, the red dragon might fear that the Mocha Principality would fight to the death. But with Brian added to the mix, it felt that the people of Mocha Principality would either obediently hand over all their wealth or resist stubbornly and ultimately be destroyed under the Dragon Wings!
Under the red dragon's expectant and excited gaze, Brian slowly shook his head.
"I have no interest in killing the goose that lays the golden eggs."
Then, he smiled lightly and said in a deep voice, "Stop changing the subject. Now, hand over the wealth you plundered from Mocha Principality to me, and swear by the name of the Mother of Evil Dragons that you will not rob Mocha Principality again."
Opposite Brian, the red dragon's face turned sour as it realized Brian was unmoved by its words. Its eyes seemed to burn with flames as it said, "Those are treasures I painstakingly robbed. Why should I give them to you?"
It had been robbing Mocha Principality for almost half a year. The thought of handing it all over at once made its heart bleed.
Brian chuckled, his eyes narrowing slightly, and then said in a deep voice, "Because you are no match for me."
The red dragon's expression changed slightly.
"Either I beat you until you can't move and then ransack all the savings in your Dragon's Lair, or you can be sensible and hand over all the wealth you got from Mocha Principality, and you can keep some of your savings."
The red dragon hesitated, its face showing indecision, and its tail swayed restlessly behind it.
As time passed, under Brian's increasingly dangerous gaze, the red dragon's conflicted expression finally settled. It cursed and said, "Fine, fine, I'll give you the stuff from Mocha Principality. Meeting you is my bad luck."
The red dragon, whose heart was bleeding, vented its anger on its surrounding minions.
"You're all useless! What's the point of keeping you around?"
With a ferocious expression, the red dragon opened its mouth in rage and spewed out a scorching Flame Dragon's Breath.
As it turned its neck, the Flame Dragon's Breath moved with it, and the roaring flames instantly engulfed a large number of its minions around it.
The red dragon's minions, engulfed by the Flame Dragon's Breath, turned into ashes in the high-temperature flames after a brief wail of one or two seconds, and were then blown away by the mountain breeze of Carol Mountain, disappearing into the air.
The red dragon's minions did not die at Brian's hands but were instead mostly wiped out by the red dragon itself. Only a few that the red dragon thought might still be useful, like the troll wizard and the crimson tyrannosaurus, were left.
The remaining minions trembled in fear, their faces full of terror.
"Useless bunch!"
After venting its anger on its minions, the red dragon's rage subsided significantly, and it stopped the Flame Dragon's Breath.
Immediately, it flapped its Dragon Wings and flew towards the mountainside of Carol Mountain.
Brian turned to look at the pitiful red dragon's minions, shook his head slightly, and then also took flight, following the red dragon.
Dragon minions enjoy the protection of the dragon and don't have to worry about encountering dangerous and powerful creatures in the dragon's territory. Many creatures are eager to follow a True Dragon. But being a dragon's minion is not easy, especially for the minions of an Evil Dragon. As now, they must always worry about being turned to ashes by an angry Evil Dragon.
The surface of the dark brown dead volcano had no vegetation, resembling a massive, desolate grave.
On the steep slopes, occasional cracks or holes could be seen, sporadically spewing out large amounts of high-temperature steam, filling the air with a strong sulfur smell and making the temperature much higher than outside.
Although it was a dead volcano, it didn't mean it had no chance of erupting.
Brian, smelling the strong sulfur scent and feeling the heat and sticky warm air around him, followed the red dragon and soon arrived at a Dragon's Lair in a cave halfway up the mountain.
Belonging to the red dragon, the Dragon's Lair emitted a wave of rising heat even before Brian entered. If he were purely a white dragon, he wouldn't want to stay in such an environment for even a second, but Brian felt nothing now.
When he first left the far northern Ice Field, he felt a bit uncomfortable, but this discomfort was due to leaving a long-familiar environment, not because of the temperature change. Although he preferred the cold, he didn't mind high-temperature environments.
The fire elemental energy here was incredibly active, and casting a fireball in such a place would be significantly more powerful.
The red dragon entered the Dragon's Lair first, then turned its head to look at Brian, who was still outside, and said in an annoyed yet welcoming tone, "If you want to come in and take a look, then come on in."
