Chapter: 140 Begin Your Performance
Under the night sky, in the high altitudes of the Cold Wind-whipped northern Ice Field, a True Dragon was soaring through the blizzard.
The powerful Dragon Wings flapped vigorously, blocking out the already dim moonlight. The gusts they generated swept up the falling snow, preventing even a single flake from getting close.
A giant dragon racing through a blizzard was a rare sight.
However, what struck fear and awe into all the creatures of the northern Ice Field who witnessed this scene was that there wasn't just one True Dragon in the sky.
A total of three colossal True Dragons, each exuding a terrifying Dragon's Might, left long trails in the blizzard. The falling snow parted in fear before them and gradually closed up behind them.
After flying for a while, the three colossal True Dragons paused, stopping under a clear night sky with a bright moon and scattered stars.
The weather here was relatively good; the blizzard hadn't engulfed this area, and only a few snowflakes drifted in the air.
Below was a forest stretching for dozens of kilometers, composed of various cold-resistant fir and pine trees. The lush green dotted the endless white world.
Such forests were not uncommon in the northern Ice Field and were usually called boreal forests.
In the boreal forest, many of the northern Ice Field's lower-tier creatures resided, with abundant biological and plant resources.
However, in terms of grandeur and awe, these ordinary trees, no more than a few dozen feet tall, couldn't compare to the Snowridge Pine Forest in the Wolfheart Clan's previous territory. Those snowridge trees were like giants among trees, towering over a hundred meters tall.
"Here it is."
"That creature came to this boreal forest a month ago and made it its territory."
"This is troubling for me."
The crystal dragon, whose translucent scales reflected the brilliant moonlight, looked down and said to Brian.
Brian lowered his gaze, using his long-range vision and detection aura to scan the boreal forest inch by inch like a radar.
Before long, a massive silhouette surrounded by elemental aura appeared in his sight.
Brian couldn't see the creature's appearance because it was hidden underground. However, just from the giant serpentine outline of the elemental aura, he could infer that the creature was even larger than the colossal True Dragons.
If it emerged, the surrounding trees would seem insignificant in comparison.
"It seems you've found its nest."
The silver dragon, with eyes as serene as metal, followed Brian's gaze.
Brian nodded and said, "Yes, I didn't expect to encounter such a rare creature here."
Brianna snorted and said, "My territory is nearby. There's no room for two True Dragons here. No, this monster doesn't even deserve to be called a dragon."
"The three of us can definitely drive it away."
Luna looked down at the silent boreal forest and said, "Let's force it out from underground first."
After speaking, she looked at Brian.
As the one who mastered evocation spells, Brian was undoubtedly the most suitable to make the first move.
Brian understood, chuckled, and said, "Let me handle this."
He took a deep breath, exhaled the Red Flame Staff, and his expression instantly became focused and solemn.
Accompanied by the profound and deep incantations, the magic within him began to flow rapidly. The fire elements in the surrounding space responded to the call, gathering in large quantities, and the night sky quietly took on a crimson hue.
A black and red magma ball, emitting a dangerous and dazzling dark glow, quickly appeared in front of Brian.
Brianna and Luna felt the astonishing heat emanating from it and involuntarily stepped back a few meters.
Both the silver dragon and the crystal dragon preferred the cold and feared fire; otherwise, they wouldn't have chosen to live in the northern Ice Field.
Once the spell was constructed, Brian, holding the small Red Flame Staff, locked onto the target with his mental power and then moved with a thought.
Whoosh!
The magma fireball, with its faint dark red glow, traced a faint arc of light in the air and plummeted rapidly toward the ground.
In an instant, the not-so-large magma fireball touched down on an unremarkable clearing in the forest and sank into the ground.
Boom!
It was as if the earth itself was turning over, with a series of thunderous, muffled sounds.
Large cracks appeared and spread across the ground, filled with magma created by magic. The scorching and arid atmosphere permeated the surroundings, igniting the coniferous trees within the area into bright torches, which quickly turned to ashes in the crisscrossing magma flows.
The sky around them brightened significantly due to the flames and magma.
"Wow!"
Brianna's eyes lit up as she looked down at the commotion and light caused by the magma fireball.
"Evocation spells are indeed the most spectacular."
The brilliance of evocation spells was always quite dazzling.
"Let me add some fuel to the fire."
The crystal dragon, bathed in moonlight and radiating a brilliant luster, used a spell-like ability.
Elemental energy swirled around her like sprites, and under Brianna's control, a large amount of air (wind) elements formed a raging tornado below.
The tornado rose from the ground, spinning rapidly, and swept up the surrounding magma and flames, forming a hundred-meter-high flame tornado. The scene was terrifying, with sparks flying and a mix of wind and fire.
Creatures within a radius of several kilometers stared in fear at the flame tornado, their limbs stiff and silent as cicadas in winter.
The firelight reflected off Brian's faceplate. He glanced at Brianna beside him and saw that her mind was immersed in the flame tornado below.
Under Brianna's precise control, the tornado carried the flames and magma without wantonly destroying the surroundings, focusing instead on that piece of land and continuously penetrating the ground.
True Dragons, once they reach adulthood, are exceptional in their magical talents. This was Brianna's first time cooperating with Brian, and they achieved a good result.
Meanwhile, Luna's eyes narrowed, and she reminded them in a melodious voice like a clear spring, "Be careful, it's coming out!"
As she spoke, both Brianna and Brian heard a rough, fierce, and irritable roar coming from beneath the land ravaged by the flame tornado.
Roar!
A tangible, fierce Dragon's Might shot up into the sky, targeting the three colossal True Dragons in the air.
If it were any other creature, they would be paralyzed at this moment, unable even to fly. However, for Brian and the other True Dragons, this Dragon's Might, though impressive, had minimal real impact.
The next second, the earth trembled violently, the ground cracked layer by layer, and the soil and rocks surged like waves, revealing a dark green, rugged figure below.
In the blink of an eye, the dark green figure, like a beast breaking free from its shackles, left the area ravaged by the flame tornado. Its body brushed against and toppled large swathes of trees, bringing with it a foul wind.
It crouched low, lifting its head to glare fiercely at the three colossal True Dragons.
