Chapter: 147 The Giant Serpent of the Dark Night

In the cold forest, the Serpent Dragon finally calmed down a bit. Its ferocious expression turned hesitant as it fell into deep thought. Brian carefully watched it.

At this moment, he was also on guard, slightly opening his mouth, ready to unleash the Breath of Time.

If the Serpent Dragon decided to end its life in a fit of rage and cast a death curse on him, that was not a result Brian wanted to see.

After a few seconds of contemplation, the Serpent Dragon snorted through its nostrils, gave Brian a fierce look, and then turned around to flee without looking back.

Having calmed down a bit, it realized that it couldn't do anything to Brian and thought it might be better to leave and seek revenge on the other two True Dragons first.

Brian watched the Serpent Dragon's body as it started to move and shook his head slightly.

On the other side, the Serpent Dragon had just turned around and hadn't run more than a few meters when it found itself back in the same spot, its face numb with shock. It all seemed to happen in an instant. Although it had been on guard, it had no chance to resist each time.

If there were other creatures observing the scene, they would find it quite amusing.

When the Serpent Dragon moved, the surroundings fell into a state of time freeze.

Brian quickly ran over, repositioned it back to its original spot, and then returned to his position, maintaining a mysterious and calm demeanor as if he hadn't moved at all, yet had everything under control.

He had done this before.

A very simple time-freeze repositioning.

There was no other way. Although Brian could use many time abilities now, he was still too young and his connection with the River of Time was far from sufficient to manipulate time flexibly.

"What do you want to do?"

"Either kill me or let me go!"

"I can avoid you and only seek revenge on the other two True Dragons."

The Serpent Dragon had realized it was being toyed with by Brian. Under Brian's calm gaze, it instinctively took a few steps back and then shouted angrily.

Brian smiled. From the Serpent Dragon's behavior, he could see that it had developed some fear of him.

He thought this creature had no idea he was a Time Dragon, or perhaps the Serpent Dragon's heritage had no record of Time Dragons. This kind of primordial dragon heritage was completely different from that of True Dragons.

"A third option: I can trap you here forever."

"Alive, but unable to move an inch."

After a pause, Brian said in a deep voice, "Or, you can choose to pledge your loyalty to me, become my subordinate, my follower."

Dragons don't usually become the minions of other dragons, but it was common for them to become followers or guards of a Dragon's Lair, like the two white dragons.

The Serpent Dragon was slightly stunned, then bared its teeth and roared viciously, "Don't even think about it. I'd rather die than let you succeed."

"After my death, I promise you'll taste the death curse of the Serpent Dragon clan!"

Brian frowned, his expression becoming solemn, "Are you sure?"

He wanted a rare, nearly extinct Serpent Dragon as a subordinate, but if it was resolute to the point of no return, Brian would have to banish it from the River of Time.

At his current age, he could make the target experience three years passing in an instant.

After three years, when the Serpent Dragon was caught by the flow of time again, he could banish it for another six years, or wait until he found a way to counter the death curse and then release it to kill it.

The Serpent Dragon clan held grudges too deeply. If it couldn't be subdued, Brian didn't want to keep it around.

On the other side, under Brian's increasingly dangerous gaze, the Serpent Dragon snorted heavily, spat a mouthful of venomous saliva on the ground, then raised its head and shouted, "I swear..."

Brian's Dragon Claws moved slightly, and the power of time quietly extended.

But before it could finish speaking, it seemed to suddenly remember something, paused for a moment, and then said in a thunderous voice, "I'm not that sure!"
