Chapter: 149 Entering the Mountains
A week later, under the deep, velvet-like night sky, Brian was in the Dragon's Lair of the snowy mountains, organizing some items he needed to bring along. He had now decided to head south.
Among the spoils obtained from the human army, there were some space rings. Brian placed the Red Flame Staff, a magical greatsword, some gems, gold coins, and silver coins into the space ring, then used his tongue to roll it up and placed it in the safest spot on his body, which was inside his dragon mouth.
After finishing his packing, he took out the Red Flame Staff, closed his eyes slightly, and sensed its position. As Brian's mental power increased, this sense of connection became clearer. He seemed to see a straight, faintly visible virtual line, with one end tied to the Red Flame Staff and the other extending to somewhere in the south.
"I don't think there will be any problems if I leave the territory," Brian said, opening his eyes and putting the Red Flame Staff away. He then silently sensed the strong auras of his minions around him. The Dragon's Lair in the snowy mountains had the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon, significantly increasing its safety. The Ice Cliff Territory had two White Dragon Guards, who were equally formidable.
There were many powerful creatures in the extreme northern Ice Field, but anyone who dared to target his Dragon's Lair would face a painful lesson. Whether it was the two white dragons or the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon, they were already the top predators in the extreme northern Ice Field, not to mention the numerous minion creatures around.
Additionally, because the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon was now stationed at the White Crystal mine vein, the Winter Wolves of the Wolfheart Clan were freed up. Three days ago, Stewart led the wolf pack, along with the ferocious Frost Tigers, to propose to Brian the idea of spreading his fame and conquering more Winter Wolf clans.
This was something Brian had agreed to before, and after considering the current favorable situation, he agreed. The Winter Wolves, transformed by the dragon vein, were stronger than ordinary Winter Wolves. Brian also told Stewart that if they encountered tough opponents, they could call on the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon if necessary.
However, this 35-meter-long ferocious creature, once provoked, could spell disaster for the targets the Wolfheart Clan aimed to conquer. Although the Winter Wolves were very wary and fearful of the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon's ferocity, its formidable strength and Brian's control over it reassured them that it wouldn't harm their own. Knowing they could get the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon's help made them even more eager for the conquest journey ahead.
As for the other Winter Wolf clans who were still unaware of this... they had no idea what was coming.
Immediately, Brian left the Dragon's Lair. After giving some instructions to his minions, he flapped his Dragon Wings and disappeared into the vast night sky, flying south. Above the thick clouds, the silver dragon bathed in moonlight, speeding southward like a silver streak under the sky.
Brian gazed into the distance, his eyes falling on the vast, undulating mountain range. As time passed and the distance closed, the once faintly visible Dragon Spine Mountains became increasingly clear.
"I've been in the extreme northern Ice Field for three years," Brian said, turning his head to look back at the snowy, desolate world before turning his gaze forward again. He felt a mix of anxiety about leaving his comfort zone and excitement about seeing a broader world, creating a tumultuous feeling inside him.
Due to the Dragon Heritage, Brian was not unfamiliar with the outside world, even though he had never left the extreme northern Ice Field. However, he had never witnessed it with his own eyes. Because the journey was long, Brian did not fly at full speed the entire time. He mainly chose to glide using air currents to conserve energy. When he felt hungry, he would pause his journey to hunt for food, and after satisfying his hunger, he would continue southward.
