Chapter 124 Subsequent Spell Training Plan
Brian shook his head, his gaze returning from the departing White Dragon Mother to focus once again on his spell studies.
After the White Dragon Mother left, Brian concentrated intensely, inscribing Spell Models in his mental world.
Evocation School Six-Level Spell, Blaze Fireball.
The higher the spell level, the greater the power difference between each level, involving more Runes and Magic Circuits. Naturally, inscribing them requires stronger mental power, more focused mind, and consciousness.
Since his recent awakening, Brian's mental power had also improved significantly, fully capable of supporting him in completing a six-level spell.
He even felt qualified to learn Nine-Level Spells.
But the problem was, a typical Spellcaster masters a large number of spells at a certain level, building a solid foundation and gaining a deeper understanding of spell principles before moving on to the next level.
Brian's knowledge sources were limited. Morton's notes delved deeper into higher-level spells but lacked much foundational content.
The books he had previously obtained from the Two-headed Ogre were no longer sufficient for his current stage.
He wanted to progress step by step, but the conditions didn't allow it.
Three days later, on a night with howling Cold Wind, scattered snowflakes, and bright moonlight, he had inscribed less than a quarter of the Spell Models in one go.
For his first encounter with a six-level spell, this speed was slow for him and unsatisfactory, but for a typical Spellcaster, it was already an incredibly fast pace.
Any Spellcaster would have read a vast number of books in their lifetime. The dozen or so books Brian had read wouldn't even compare to an apprentice in the Spellcaster community.
Without enough foundational knowledge, learning the six-level Blaze Fireball was much more difficult than Brian had imagined.
He had a premonition that if he continued to bury himself in research, he would get stuck at some point, requiring a lot of time to learn.
"Sigh, the progress is too slow."
"The foundational principles are still too lacking; otherwise, the learning speed could double."
"I need more foundational spell books. Without the support of foundational knowledge, higher-level spells are even harder to master."
Brian rubbed his head, opened his eyes, and gazed southward towards the Dragonspine Mountains.
"I need to go out and collect some spell books."
He had initially planned to learn all the spells in Morton's notes before leaving the extreme northern Ice Field.
But now it seemed that staying in the extreme northern Ice Field without acquiring more knowledge would make it difficult to master higher-level spells, even if he managed to learn Blaze Fireball.
Above Blaze Fireball is the seven-level spell.
And seven-level spells are already high-level spells. Their power undoubtedly increases significantly compared to six-level spells, but the difficulty of mastering them is also much higher.
Realizing this, Brian stopped obsessing over Blaze Fireball.
He stretched his muscles, moved his body, and then slowly walked out of the Dragon's Lair, looking at the silent and deadly extreme northern Ice Field under the night sky.
Beneath this silver-clad world of Ice and Snow, who knows how much bloodshed is hidden.
At this moment, Moonlight like water reflected on Brian's scales, adding a faint silver glow to his body.
Brian turned his head, his gaze extending in all directions, quickly fixing on a certain spot.
In his view, a winter wolf was sprinting at full speed, leaving no trace in the snow. Its body was like a white Lightning, its fur rippling like waves in the howling Cold Wind.
Before long, the sprinting winter wolf stopped, looking up at the silver dragon.
This winter wolf was not the Alpha Wolf Stewart of the Wolfheart Clan but one of the first winter wolves to admire Brian's power and come under his Dragon Wings, Scott.
A newly adult male winter wolf.
"Master, there's no movement from the Frost Giants; everything is as usual."
After saying this, Scott hesitated for a moment and added, "But... a white dragon attacked them and was instead injured and captured."
"It's the white dragon that has been frequently entering your Territory recently."
Upon hearing this, Brian was initially slightly stunned, then his face darkened as he asked, "What happened to that white dragon? Is it dead?"
He hadn't expected the White Dragon Mother to be bold enough to attack the Frost Giant tribe alone.
A group of Frost Giants is not something a single white dragon can provoke.
It's possible to find an opportunity to kill one when it's alone, but directly attacking their stronghold... that's almost suicidal.
What Brian didn't know was that after leaving the Ice Cliff Territory, the White Dragon Mother had been unable to sleep for days, thinking about Brian's indifference towards her, growing more and more furious until she was filled with rage.
One day, while out hunting and flying high in the sky, she passed by the Frost Giant tribe.
Due to her pent-up anger and a deep-seated hatred for the Frost Giants, the White Dragon Mother acted on impulse, flying low and using her Dragon's Breath to attack several Frost Giants, venting her emotions.
Her plan was to breathe Dragon's Breath and then flee, disgust the Frost Giants, and then fly high to watch them jump around in anger for amusement.
But the Frost Giants were not to be trifled with.
As the arch-enemies of white dragons, they wouldn't let the White Dragon Mother escape.
A lone white dragon without any followers daring to attack their tribe caught them off guard. A few young Frost Giants were slightly injured by the Frost Breath, but once they recovered, they collectively retaliated, shooting down the fleeing White Dragon Mother from low altitude, giving her no chance to escape to higher altitudes.
For Brian, although he had beaten the White Dragon Mother, stolen her belongings, and taken her Territory, he couldn't stand by and watch her be killed by other creatures.
Noticing Brian's dangerous gaze, Scott trembled and quickly said, "No, the Frost Giants captured the white dragon and locked her in a cage."
Rather than killing a white dragon outright, the Frost Giants preferred to capture a live one as a trophy to display.
One of their greatest desires is to tame a white dragon.
A Frost Giant who can tame a white dragon would earn the envy and admiration of all their kin and significantly elevate their status within the tribe.
Although the White Dragon Mother was captured, she wouldn't be in immediate danger.
Brian breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "When did this happen?"
Scott didn't hesitate and replied, "Half an hour ago. We've been monitoring the Frost Giant tribe and came to inform you immediately after discovering it."
Winter wolves are highly intelligent Magical Creatures. Although they didn't know the exact relationship between the White Dragon Mother and Brian, seeing her frequently visit and bring gifts, they knew this matter had to be reported to Brian immediately.
Brian's gaze sharpened, and he said, "The Wolfheart Clan did well this time."
Scott's face showed a hint of joy as he lowered his head and said, "It's an honor for the Wolfheart Clan to serve you."
Immediately after, Brian set up numerous magical alarms in the Dragon's Lair, then summoned two White Dragon Guards, a ferocious frost tiger, and a ferocious wolf, quickly heading towards the Frost Giant tribe.
Ordinary followers, Ogres, Kobolds, and Arctic Ice Spirits followed closely behind.
