Chapter 54 Confrontation
The Dragon's Might was not a supernatural force actively emitted, but rather a natural presence formed from the True Dragon's extended stay, radiating its aura along with the subtle Dragon's Might of the White Dragon Mother.
This kind of Dragon's Might was not a fierce supernatural ability actively emitted by dragons, while it was formed naturally because dragons had long resided nearby that True Dragon aura pervades the area.
Feeling the familiar presence of White Dragon Mother, Brian's Dragon Claws clinked together, making a crisp sound like metal clashing.
He couldn’t wait to do something.
Disregarding the subtle warning in the Dragon's Might, Brian boldly entered the territory of the White Dragon Mother.
The howling wind and swirling snow surrounded him as he advanced aggressively towards the Ice Cliff Dragon's Lair.
In the midst of the blizzard, Brian maintained a high speed, heading towards the Ice Cliff Dragon's Lair.
He made no attempt to hide his presence, desiring for the White Dragon Mother to take notice of his arrival and witness her astonished reaction.
However, to Brian's disappointment, even when the outline of the Ice Cliff Dragon's Lair appeared in his view, White Dragon Mother was still nowhere to be seen.
She was probably in a deep sleep who was unaware of her eldest son's presence.
But as Brian got within a kilometer of the Ice Cliff Dragon's Lair, three small White Dragons peeked out from the edge of the lair.
Sensing a familiar aura, the three little White Dragons flew out in shock.
Brian halted, grinning at his long-unseen Dragon Brothers and Sisters.
In contrast to Brian, who had transformed into a thirty-six-foot-long dragon, the ordinary two-year-old White Dragon hatchlings remained small in size, measuring less than nine feet long, and appeared feeble and insignificant in comparison to Brian.
The only reason they dared approach Brian was because of the distinctive black ring of scales around his neck and the familiar aura, confirming that this was their brother who had been driven away half a year ago.
"Br... Brian? Is it you?"
Although knowing it was Brian, Dragon Brother Charles still asked weakly.
Seeing his Dragon Brothers and Sisters, who hadn't changed much, Brian spoke kindly, "What, have you forgotten me so soon?"
There was a moment of silence before Brian's expression turned threatening. He extended his Dragon Claws, powerful enough to slay a White Dragon hatchling with a single swipe, and remarked, "Must I educate you on how to address me? Show me the respect I deserve.”
The Dragon Brothers and Sisters exchanged glances.
In the face of Brian's overwhelming presence, they found it hard to breathe.
A heavy pressure bore down on them.
Having been bested by Brian since their infancy until they were over a year old, the three young dragons were quite obedient. Recognizing Brian's increased power, they timidly called out in unison, "Brother Brian.
Brian nodded, not bothering to argue with the little dragons.
A few seconds later, Dragon Sister Hill gathered her courage and asked, "Brother Brian, why are you back?"
“Mother has already kicked you out of the territory. If she catches you here when she wakes up, she'll surely give you a beating.”
‘Beat me... As if you can.’
Brian's gaze shifted beyond his Dragon Brothers and Sisters, focusing on the Ice Cliff Dragon's Lair located behind them. Disregarding Hill's inquiry, he spoke calmly, "Go rouse Mother and inform her that Brian has come back.”
At this distance, Brian had already sensed White Dragon Mother's presence in the Ice Cliff Dragon's Lair, very calm and steady.
Just as Brian had guessed, she was sleeping.
The Dragon Brothers and Sisters hesitated.
Brian's gaze darkened.
Before he could speak again, the little dragons who were frightened, turned and ran into the nest to call for White Dragon Mother.
Brian patiently waited in the violent snowstorm, his Dragon Wings trembling slightly, pushing away the surrounding snowstorm.
A few minutes later, the Dragon Brothers and Sisters flew out of the lair, struggling to keep their balance in the blizzard, saying to Brian, "Mother is in deep sleep. We can't wake her."
Brian was speechless.
As usual she ignored the calls of the hatchlings.
He wasn't surprised. Instead he calmly told the Dragon Brothers and Sisters, "Move aside. Don't stand in front of me."
They stood there dumbfounded, not reacting immediately.
But when they saw Brian open his mouth, with an ice-blue glow forming inside, they suddenly felt a bone-chilling cold and hurriedly moved aside in panic.
