Chapter 101

Jasmine

"This fight is just about me and my twin sister. You all are not allowed to interfere." Juliet responded and Ciara was about to attack her but I stopped her.

"It is so overwhelming to think that regardless of what happened to me in the past, they still stay beside me. My very own twin sister betrayed me but my friends never did." I could feel the reaction of Juliet's face as I said those words to her.

"How dare you, Jasmine. I am not concerned about your return but I am going to warn you. If you ever come near Romano, you will never like what I can do to you, Jasmine. Romano is mine, it is better you put that in your little head." She said to me, I didn't waste time before slapping her hard on her face.

"You deserve that slap because you are just a slut and I hate you for what you did to me." She was about to slap me back but my friends held both of her hands.

"Get your hands off me!" She screamed but they didn't let go of her.

"You think we will allow you to touch our friend? Over our dead gorgeous body, bitch!" Khloe said, her words made me laugh.

"We are not yet done, sister. Remember that." She said and my friends released her afterwards. I sighed because of what she said to me. I couldn't believe that I would meet her in this supermarket. We did our shopping peacefully and returned back to Kenneth's mansion afterwards.

The next morning, my heart was pounding so fast inside my chest thinking that I will be meeting my parents after three years. I could still remember what they did to me and how they abandoned me. My fist clenched in anger thinking about them.

"Are you nervous?" Someone spoke behind me and I was brought back from my deep thoughts. I turned around and saw Kenneth, I took a deep breath before responding to him.

"A bit, Kenneth. I can't wait to hear what they have to tell me. I am certain that it is all about money because I know that they are gold diggers." I said gritting my teeth. It has been years and now I have become a better person. It was them that pushed me to be like this.

"What if it is not what you think, Jasmine? What if your parents wanted to tell you about something that is too significant concerning your life." My brows furrowed when Kenneth said those words. My fist also clenched thinking about it.

However, I couldn't avoid thinking that what is it is not money they want from me? Goodness, I became eager to hear what they have to say. It is also the time for me to ask them the reason why they never treated us like their children?

"The only way for me to know the truth is to talk to them. Let us go, Kenneth." I was about to take a step but Kenneth grasped my wrist.

"Jasmine, I am still waiting for the time that you open your heart…." He paused his sentence, I agape in shock. He has already told me how he felt about me. Kenneth is not hard to love, it is just that I can't open my heart to love again after what his friend did to me. Besides, it was still Romano inside my heart, regardless of what he did to me.

"We already talked about it, Kenneth and my answer is still the same. I can't bring myself to open my heart again after how Romano shattered it in pain. I can't love again after what happened." He let out a deep sigh because of what I said. I am hoping that he will understand me.

"I understand. Come on, we should leave now. Your parents are waiting for you." He said, I nodded my head at him.

Kenneth and I headed towards downstairs where my friends were waiting for us. I will leave my son, Clinton with them because I can't bring him to visit my parents. It is not yet the time for them to see my son, besides I can't put my son's life at risk in case an enemy attacks us on the way.

"Please, take good care of my son. We will soon be back." I said to my friends, my words made them chuckle.

"Trust us, Jasmine. Your son is safe in our hands. We will never leave him alone." Ciara assured me and I just nodded my head. I walked towards him and kissed his forehead. I told him as well that I will be back soon, he just nodded his head and smiled at me. It was as if all the doubts and pain within my heart faded away when I saw my son smile.

Kenneth and I went out of the house as we started our journey towards my parent's house. My gaze was focused towards the window looking at the outside view. It has been three years, I have missed this place so much. Although I couldn't remember exactly what happened when I was a teenager, the memories I had with my friends, my twin sister and Romano kept banging into my head.

I missed this place so much and it was such an honor to be back to the land where I was born. This place knew all the suffering I had gone through when I became the Alpha's wife, although I was just his replacement mate. In Just a few minutes, we arrived at my parent's house and everything was still the same. I wonder if Juliet ever visited them but I am sure that she doesn't care about them.

Kenneth and I stepped out of the car as we made our way into the house. I saw my parent's situation, my father was laying on the bed and his body had changed completely. He looked so sick and I couldn't believe that my father was seriously down with sickness.

"We are so happy that you came back, Jasmine." My mother said, her eyes were teary as she ran towards me and hugged me so tight. I couldn't stop myself from shedding tears.

"What is the important thing that you wanted to tell me? I don't have much time because I have a lot of things to take care of." I said to them, my heart was melting in pain but I stopped myself from crying. My mouth pulled me closer to where my father laid. He held my hand and I was nervous. His hand is as cold as ice.

"You need to know about your past, Jasmine. We will also like to ask for your forgiveness for not telling you about it all this while." My father said, my legs had already started trembling in nervousness.

"What do you mean about my past?" I asked while my voice was shaking.

"You and your twin sister, Juliet were not our biological children." My mouth said, her words made my heart pound inside my chest. I became speechless because of what she said.

"Are the two of you making up stories again? Please stop it because I am tired of this!" I said to them with my eyes already filled with tears. My mother held my hand, trying to comfort me.

"Please, listen to us, Jasmine. We have no plans to hurt your feelings because you deserve to know the truth." My mother said, I shook my head at her. The information I just heard now from them was like a bomb that exploded in front of me.

Goodness, this is so hard to believe!

Juliet and I were not their biological daughters.

Anger filled my heart in the thought that the parents I used to know weren't my real parents. Juliet and I were just adopted children of Philip's family. It is hard to believe but this is the reality. What they said is the truth.

"If we were just adopted children, where are our real parents?" I asked them, and my question made them bow their heads. My fist clenched thinking that they have no idea about our biological parents' identity.

"We don't know, Jasmine because when we first saw the two of you. Juliet was crying while you were unconscious. The doctor told us that you will never remember your past life again." My eyes widened because of what my father just said. It was as if my head wanted to explode in so much pain, trying to digest everything I just heard from them.

"I will never remember my past life, what does that mean, father?" I asked him.

"You lost your memory when you were still a teenager, Jasmine and when we asked your sister, Juliet. She always avoids telling us. We never pressured her to answer because each time we tried, she created a mess." I massaged my head as my head has already begun to ache.
