Jasmine

Eight days have passed and Romano and my path never crossed again. I don't care about him but on the other hand I couldn't stop myself from thinking about him. All the words he said to me kept banging through my head.

"Are you ready, Jasmine? You look so beautiful." My face flushed because of what my friends said. We are attending a birthday party for our high school classmate. I am a bit nervous and I couldn't understand why.

My son, Clinton will be staying back with Kenneth. I am so happy that Kenneth loves spending time with him. He agreed for us to attend the party with bodyguards. He doesn't allow me to go out of the house with security. Although I didn't want it, I was left with no other choice than to agree with him.

"Of course, I am more than ready." I responded to my friends and they nodded their heads. We left the house with four bodyguards behind us.

"I miss attending parties like this." Nina said which made me smile. They always stay at home instead of attending parties because my son and I knew they missed it a lot. We used to attend such events in the past and I am happy that we are attending one today.

"Let us enjoy the night without any negativities, okay?" Ciara said which made us nod our heads.

In less than twenty minutes, we arrived at the venue. A lot of cars were parked at the garage. I am certain that this party is not just a typical birthday party. This is grandiose and all the guests were from wealthy personalities.

"I am a bit nervous." Khloe said which made us chuckle.

"Let us go because all the drinks are waiting for us." They laughed at my words. We were about to walk into the hall when someone exceeded us which made us stop.

"Get out of the way!" The woman screamed, annoyingly. I was about to respond to her when I noticed a man beside her. It was Romano and my blood boiled seeing his face. He is still a womanizer and every time he attended a party, he brought a new girl. He looked at me but I was hurt as he didn't smile at me. He just stared at me with his blank expression and it was as if he didn't know me.

"Why is your husband with another woman?" Nina asked me, her question made me clench my fist.

"I don't know but what I can say is that he is still an asshole." My friends sighed.

"We don't know his reason so let us not judge him. Besides, we don't know the woman with him." I shook my head at Khloe's words.

"You don't have to defend that jerk because I don't give a damn about him. I regretted admitting to him that I still love him. He kept hurting my feelings and I hate him for that!" I exclaimed in my gritting teeth. They patted my shoulder to calm me down. I let out a deep breath to ease some tension in my heart.

"Calm down, Jasmine. Let us not mind them, we are here to enjoy the party not because of Romano Kelvin." Ciara said.

She is right, we are here not because of that asshole and I should stop worrying about him. It doesn't matter how many women are with him because I don't care. We continued walking into the hall, the party had started already. We looked for the celebrant and greeted as well as presented our gifts. We went back to our table and started drinking the wine that was served to us.

My eyes wandered around the party as they began to dance. My friends were already on the dance floor, they invited me but I declined. I am not in the mood for dancing because my eyes were searching for someone. Romano is whom I was looking for but I couldn't find him. I let out a deep breath and forced myself to forget that jerk.

"Wash his image off your mind, Jasmine." I murmured to myself and then suddenly someone arrived at our table. He wrapped his hand around my waist which made my heart almost jump in nervousness. I thought it was Romano but I was astounded when I saw his face. It wasn't Romano and his face is not familiar to me.

"Are you alone, Miss?" He asked with his grinning face.

"W….who are you? Please let go of me." I begged him but he didn't let go of my waist.

"Can I dance with you?" My blood boiled when he started pressing my waist.

"Please let go of me or I will scream here." He didn't listen. This man had the guts to approach me and I don't even know him.

"Don't be hard to get, lady. Are you not attracted to me?" His question almost suffocated me.

"Attracted to you? You are not even as handsome as my man." He grit his teeth because of what I said.

"Who the hell are you to tell me that I am not handsome?" He grasped my wrist. I grimaced in pain and was about to scream when he pointed a gun at me.

"Put your gun down because I am not scared of that. You are a shameless creature because you have the guts to approach me." I hissed at him which made him laugh like a devil.

"I am not a shameless creature, I am the devil himself. Whatever I want is what I get and I want you. Come with me or I will kill you." I swallowed hard my saliva because of what he said. My heart skipped thinking that I am in trouble now.

"No, leave me alone now, not until everything will be too late." He didn't listen to me, instead he held my hand and started dragging me out of the party. I could feel my heart pounding loudly knowing that my life is at risk now.

"Don't scream or I won't hesitate killing you." I kept my mouth shut because any wrong move, it will be the end of my life. I want to avoid dying in this man's hands. My son still needs me and I will try to find a way to escape from him.

"There were a lot of women at the party, why me?" I asked him which made him stop and face me. He held my chin and I grit my teeth.

"Because you are so beautiful. You are the type of woman I crave for." I shook my head at him.

"Damn you!" I pushed him away and fell on the ground. I wanted to grab the chance and ran away from him but he stopped me. My soul almost separated from my body when I heard a gunshot.

"You wanted to escape from me and you really think that l will allow you to escape?" I was surprised when he teleported himself in front of me.

His face turned into a monster. A type of monster that has two fangs and his eyes were blazing like he wanted to suck my blood. Goodness, ge is a vampire. I started moving backwards because they saw his saliva dripping from his mouth. I know his craving for fresh blood and I will be his meal.

"Your blood smells good, Lady and I want to drink it." He started approaching while I kept moving backwards. My heart was almost out of my body.

"Please don't hurt me." I begged him but the vampire just smirked and kept approaching me.

"Don't worry because I won't hurt you. I want to have you first and then suck out your blood." I swallowed hard my saliva because of what he said.

I fell to the ground when my feet stepped on a stone. The vampire smirked and his saliva was still dripping from his mouth. My eyes widened when I saw Romano behind and my heart pounded in happiness knowing he would come and rescue me.

"You, jerk!" Romano screamed as he stabbed the vampire on his back. He didn't dodge the attack because he wasn't expecting Romano.

"Romano…" Tears streamed down my eyes as I watched his body turn into ashes. Romano came closer to me and helped me stand up from the ground.

"Goodness, are you alright, my love?" He asked me which made me hug him. I was so scared that he wouldn't come to rescue me and the vampire would succeed in sucking my blood.

"I am fine, Romano. Thank you for coming to save me. I don't know what would have happened to me if you didn't come on time." He hugged me tightly and I cried in his chest.

"Hush, sweetheart because I am here now and I promise I will never leave you again. I am really sorry for what I said to you, I was confused at that time because of all the terrible things that happened to us." He freed me from his embrace and started wiping the tears in my eyes.

"I was scared, Romano. I thought it would be the end of my life. That vampire would have never spared me because he really wanted to suck my blood." I was still crying saying those words, he pulled me to his embrace again.

"I swear, I will never allow them to touch you. As long as I am with you, they can't harm you, Jasmine, that is my promise to you." I nodded my head.

"Does that mean that you will still continue with your plan of gaining back my trust, Romano?" He nodded his head and I couldn't explain the happiness I felt within my heart knowing that he will never give up on us.

"Yes, my love. Even if you stopped me from seeing my son, I will try my best to visit you tomorrow. I am eager to see my son tomorrow, Jasmine." My heart pounded because of what he said.

"Romano, I don't know if this is the right time but fine, you will have my decision by tomorrow and I am hoping that you will fulfill what you promised me." He smiled widely.

This is maybe the time for me to decide. I have made up my mind and he will have my forgiveness by tomorrow after he tells Clinton that he is his father.

"Thank you for giving me a second chance, my love and I promise you that I will never waste this opportunity. I will give my best tomorrow and I will also like to tell you that if Kenneth tries to stop, my plan of taking both of you away from him will still be accomplished." I nodded my head at him.

"I am glad to hear that, Romano but I have something to ask you." He wrapped his hand around my waist which made my face flushed.

"What is it, my love?" He asked me.

"Who was that woman with you?" He smiled.

"Have you forgotten her? She is my cousin, Jasmine." My mouth agape from what he said. Goodness, I remembered her face now, I almost forgot that he had a cousin. I have met her before.

"But, let us not talk about her. We need to go back to the party because your friend might be worried sick about you." I nodded my head to what he said. I was about to take a step when he held my wrist and my hand got intertwined. I smiled because of that.

"What are you doing, Romano? They will see us." I said, trying to pull my hand but he didn't let go.

"It is none of their business, Jasmine. Besides, we are married. You are mine and my property and I will not let them take you away from me." I couldn't stop smiling because of what he said.

"Shut up, Romano. Can we go back to the party now?" He nodded.

He headed back to the party holding hands. My friends were waiting for me at the table. They approached us as soon as they saw and I could see from their faces that they were worried about me.
