Romano


When I saw Jasmine earlier, I wanted to kiss but when I remembered my dead mate, my conscience was eating me up. It was as if I had betrayed her. I shouldn't take advantage of Jasmine in the first place. She was a virgin and I don't know what to do now after I got her purity. I was trying to avoid her by drowning myself in alcohol and spending time with my mistress but I still can't get over her. She keeps disturbing my mind and soul.

When I found out that she left with her friends, I decided to follow her down to the resort. I was already getting used to having her around and I can't really understand why I have the urge to look for her.

"Don't you have a plan to talk to her?" Kenneth asked and I turned my attention to him, I drank the glass of wine before responding to him.

"No, I want to avoid talking to her." I replied but that was a lie.

"She is so beautiful." My head turned to Tim when he said that. It is as if I wanted to strangle his neck for complimenting Jasmine because I should be the only one praising her.

"If I were you, Romano. I will talk to her, you are acting so strange after seeing her." Harry said and I glared daggers at him.

"Shut up, idiot! You are being too talkative!" I yelled at him and he raised both of his hands as he burst out laughing.

Harry and Tim just got back from the county and they told me that they were going to enjoy themselves, I didn't hesitate to come along with them.

"Romano." I heard my name and my attention turned to the direction the voice was coming from. I arched my brows when I saw Jasmine's friends, Khloe, Ciara and Nina and I was surprised by what would make them approach me and based on the expression on their faces, something happened.

"It is Jasmine." Khloe said and it caused me to stand up immediately, my heart was already pounding so fast.

"What happened to her?" I was about to speak when Kenneth asked and I turned to his direction. Why does he seem so worried about my wife?

"One of the staff told us that he saw a man taking Jasmine away." Nina said and I clenched my fist.

"It was Charlie." I said as I walked towards the pool area where I was her last. They all followed me and I couldn't explain the anger I felt within my inner self. I really wanted to kill that dumbass Charlie for taking my wife away. He is still in love with Jasmine and if he does something tremendous to her, I won't hesitate to rip his head off.

"Give a boat!" I screamed and my friends went to where the boats were.

"Please bring Jasmine back from that jerk called Charlie." Khloe said and I gritted my teeth. My blood boiled when I heard that dumbass name and if he ever hurts my wife, I will surely slay slaughter him.

When I opened my eyes, I found out that I was in a different place and I was on a boat. I was shocked when I saw Charlie on her same boat.

"I will murder the hell out of you Charlie." I said and it made him turn his attention to me.

"Finally, you are awake, Jasmine." He said as he came closer to me. He untied my hand and I slapped him in the face.

"Why did you bring him here, Charlie? What do you want from me!" I yelled and he sighed.

"This is the only way that I can speak with you. I wanted to talk to you and you have been avoiding me, Jasmine." He said and I shook my head.

Why is he doing this now? I thought he doesn't love me anymore and besides we have been together for three years now.

"Speak with me? Where were you three years ago when my life became miserable because of how you cheated on me with my best friend and now that I have moved on with my life, you have the guts to face me." I said and he just stared at me with pleading eyes.

"Call me desperate but I won't take you back. I still love you Jasmine and that Alpha doesn't deserve you." He said and I looked at him with fierce eyes.

"Let us go back now, Charlie. Turn the boat." I said but he didn't listen.

"No, we add not going back not until you admit that you still love me and not that jerk Alpha." He said and I clenched my fist in anger.

"You are desperate, Charlie." I said and he just smiled at me.

"Yes, I am desperate to take you away from that jerk because he doesn't deserve you. He is just a demon and he will only break your heart." He said and seriously he is making my blood boil in anger.

"And what do you think of yourself? Are you more deserving than him?" I asked him sarcastically and he just stared at me with his eyes full of sadness.

"If I knew this would happen to us, I would have pushed her away. Lydia seduced me, Jasmine." He said and I shook my head, disagreeing with him.

"No matter how you tried to explain to me that you regretted doing it, Charlie everything is over now and you can't retrieve back the moment I saw both of you having sex. It shattered my heart into pieces." I said with my bitter expression.

In all these, one thing I realized was that I don't love Charlie anymore and the feelings I have for Romano were stronger than what I felt for Charlie before. The only feeling I have for Charlie now is only anger, nothing more because I have already buried those feelings three years ago. All I want now is to go back to the resort and if he won't spare me,I would rather jump into the sea than talk to him.

"If it is going to take time for you to forgive me, I am willing to wait. Please just tell me that you are going to forgive me and give me a second chance to prove to you that I still love you." He said and there was sincerity in his voice but I shook my head.

"How many times do I need to tell you that I don't love you anymore, Charlie. Romano is whom I love now, please let's go back to the resort.

"No, I won't give you back to that jerk Alpha." He said as he did something that made my heart skip a bit.

He gripped my shoulder as he lowered down his face to mine, he wanted to kiss me but I pushed him away. My heartbeat increased because of the nervousness I felt at the moment. He was about to kiss me, goodness.

"Stop it, Charlie!" I screamed at the top of my lungs and used all the strength in me to push him away. He fell on the floor and I stood up from where I was sitting and ran elsewhere but before I could reach the door, he pulled my hair and drew me back to his embrace. He pushed me to the bed and locked the door of the room.

"What are you doing, Charlie?" I asked with my nervous tone and he just stared at me, he didn't care about the tears on my face.

"I will take you away from that Alpha by hook or by crook." He said as he walked closer to me.

He was about to kiss me when the door of the door revealed Romano's face. His reaction is so dark like he wanted to kill. His attention was on Charlie and he instantly pulled him away from me and slammed him to the wall. He gripped his collar.

"I will kill you today, dumbass!" He yelled as he punched him on the stomach and blood gushed out of Charlie's mouth. I stood up from the bed immediately and approached him.

"That is enough, Romano." I said as I hugged him from behind to calm him down. I don't want him to kill Charlie, he released him from his grip and turned to face me. His eyes were still blazin when he looked at me and I swallowed hard my saliva. His reactions were making my legs tremble as I could see danger in the way he stared at me.

"Jasmine." He called as he pulled me to his embrace and I was shocked by his actions. I couldn't believe that he hugged me back and tears streamed down to my cheeks because of mixed emotions.

He was making me melt because hugging him felt so relaxed and homily. He is the man I love and now he saves me again from danger. He saved me from the man that shattered my life into pieces in the past.
