Jasmine


"Oooooh, Romano." I moaned his name when he thrust his hips towards me.

"You are so tight, my love." He said and moved his hips even more. He kept thrusting and I was biting my bottom lips to stop myself from moaning out loud. I was scared that Ashton might hear our moans and looked at the back. He kept pleasuring me until we reached our peak.

"Goodness, it feels so good." I murmured and he smirked and that was when I realized what I just said. It seems like I wanted to scold myself for saying those words without even thinking about it.

"What did you just say, my love?" He asked and I turned my attention away from him because I was blushing so much.

"Shut up and let us focus our attention on the road." I said and it made him chuckle.

He held my hand and pulled my head towards his shoulder, I closed my eyes and rested my head on his shoulder. Being with him gives me so much happiness, he is my life now and losing him might be the end of my life. I never loved someone like this before even when I was with Charlie, I never loved him the way I love Romano now.

"I love you, Jasmine and remember that. Always put it at the back of your mind that I love you regardless of what happened." He said and I just smiled responding to him, I fell asleep in his body comfort.

When I woke up, I found out that we were in a different place, a place that is not familiar to me.

"Hey, my love." He said with a smile on his face, his smiling face makes my day complete.

"Where are we?" I asked and I sat down properly.

"We were in the world of wolves, Jasmine." He responded and my mouth was wide open.

"The world of wolves?" I asked curiously and it made him grin.

"Yes, those who live here are all wolves. This is the place I lived before and the place where I lost my first mate." He said and I looked at him with seriousness written all over my face.

If this is the place where his life became miserable, then why did he bring me here. I can't believe he brought me here and what was his reason for doing so?

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked with my confused reaction and he held my hand and then stared deeply into my eyes.

"Because I wanted to prove to you that I feel better after meeting you. Every time I visited this place, my dark past kept popping through my mind and this place brought chaos to my life. I wanted you to know that I love you and I have moved on from my past." He said and tears streamed down my cheeks.

I can't believe that he is saying those words to me. This place made his life miserable and he brought me here just to prove to me that he has overcome his terrible past just because of me. I can't stop myself from being emotional because of him.

"You don't need to prove anything, Romano. Your dark past is still part of your life and I can't tell you to stop seeking justice for your dead mate. Instead I am going to support you in all your decisions and I will never stop loving you." I said and he smiled at me. He cupped my face with his two strong massive hands.

"I never regret loving you, Jasmine. You are the best gift I have ever received all my life. I love you so much and I promise not to hurt you again. Now I will face my fears just for you." He said and took my lips again.

Romano Pov


"Alpha you mate is dead." Those hurtful words I have heard shattered my heart the moment I discovered it.

I wasn't able to save her from her killers and I wasn't even there to protect her as I promised her. The anger still lives within my heart. As I stepped my feet in that land again, the pain of losing her still hit my heart. It has been five years ever since I lost her, five years of blaming myself for her death.

"Romano…." I was brought back from my deep thoughts when I heard Jasmine's voice, I almost forgot that I came here with her. Jasmine helped me to overcome those pain I have gone through for the past five years.

The love I have for her helps me heal from the pain I felt five years ago. And now, no more anger within my heart but I am still seeking justice for her death. I swore to kill those responsible for her death.

"I am sorry, I just can't stop myself from thinking about the past. Come let's keep going." I said as I held her hand and we continued walking through the village.

This was the place I lived before, together with my first mate. The land where werewolves and humans interact with each other. I was also the ruler of the Pack and I guess that is why they killed my mate. Her death was the reason why I became this heartless and lethal, my dark past pushed me to change. I used to be a kind Alpha in the past but after the incident with my mate, I lost all my kindness. If not for Jasmine, I don't know what would have happened to me. If I hadn't fallen in love with her, I am certain that I won't find love and happiness ever again after the pain I have gone through.

"Are you sure that you are alright?" She asked and I just smiled to tell her that I am fine. She also smiled back and it made my heart pound.

Goodness, her smile is making me feel so happy, I can't afford to lose this girl, I know that. I failed to protect my first mate but I promise to keep Jasmine safe as long as I am still breathing. Those who would ever dare to hurt her, will surely meet their ends. I am still heartless and lethal, those characteristics can't be removed from me. I was born to be heartless and vicious and no one can ever beat me.

"Alpha Romano, we were glad to see you again." I turned around and saw some wolves pay their homage to us. Their eyes seemed sparkling in happiness as they saw me back in their lands.

"How are you all?" I asked in my cold voice.

"Everything is under control, Alpha Romano." They replied as they bowed their heads to me.

"We were deeply sorry for what happened to your mate, we send our gratitude to you, Alpha Romano." One of them said and I just heaved a sigh before responding to them.

"By the way, I would like you all to meet my new mate, her name is Jasmine." I introduced her to them but they just stared at her like they didn't care at all.

"She is your new mate, Alpha Romano?" I turned my attention to the man that asked the question. I clenched my fist when I saw Nelson.

"What are you doing here, Nelson?" I asked as I pulled Jasmine close to me.

"Visiting the place where my sister was killed." He replied with a grin on his face. Nelson is my dead mate brother and he came from another Pack, I never thought I would see him again.

"Get out of my way, Nelson!" I ordered him but he didn't listen. He was staring at Jasmine and it was as if I wanted to pluck those two eyes off his face.

"Your new mate is very beautiful. Did she know that you have been mated before?" He asked and his question made me grin. He is planning to ruin me in front of Jasmine because he thinks that she is not aware of my dead mate.

"Yes, I knew every bit of my husband's dark past, Nelson." Jasmine responded to him and it made me smile.

"Oh! Are you aware that he promised his dead mate never to fall in love again?" He asked again and I clenched my fist at his words.

"Well, Romano can't stop his heart from loving again even though he had promised his dead mate that his devotion will remain with her." Jasmine replied to him. She is being courageous and didn't seem to be bothered by Nelson's words. This lady seemed mysterious.

"Just be careful because this man can't protect his woman. I am scared that he cannot keep you up safely, just like what happened to my sister." He added and I wanted to punch his face but I stopped myself from doing that. He was still the brother of my dead mate and I should respect him even though he was insulting me. He was mad at me because I failed to protect his sister and he blames me for losing her.
