Jasmine

"I don't want to see anyone disrespecting you, Jasmine. I am sorry but I can kill, if anyone dares to touch you." He said and glanced at him. His gaze was focused on the road because he was the one driving and his men were following behind us.

"I am sorry if I always trouble you, Romano." I said as I felt guilty because it has always been my fault for him to kill. He stopped the car just to face me. He held my hand and looked me deep in the eyes.

"Don't think that way, Jasmine because whatever happens, I won't let something bad happen to you. They would be scared if they ever came close to my territory. I promise you that no one will ever touch you when I am by your side and I can't let anyone degrade you." He said and a smile made its way to my face. His words made me feel better and all the doubts within my heart faded away.

I believe Romano's words and I am confident that he will never abandon me again just like he did in the past. He truly loves me this time and I can feel it. My heart could tell the truthfulness in his words and his actions tell me that he truly cares for me.

"Whatever happened, Romano. Can you promise me that you will have trust in me?" I asked and he nodded his head responding to me. He kissed the back of my hand and it made me lick my lips as it sent a sensation to my system.

"I promise you, Jasmine. Let's keep going and continue the conversation when we get home." He replied and I nodded as he started the engine of the car and drove off.

In just a minute, we already reached home. His friends and his new Delta were already waiting for our arrival at the main corridor. Hold held my hand as I walked into the house.

"Alpha Romano, someone was looking for you." Harry said and my eyebrows furrowed. They looked so serious and I could feel something was wrong.

"Where is he?" Romano asked.

"They are waiting on the couch." Tim replied and we continued walking into the house. My heart pounded rapidly inside my chest and I am trying to control my nervousness. On getting inside, I saw two men sitting on the couch but they stood up immediately they saw Romano.

"Alpha Romano." They greeted and bowed their heads to show respect to him.

"What brought you people here?" He asked them.

"We are here to inform you that our Pack is inviting you to the festival of masquerade ball together with your Luna." One of them said and my mouth widened in surprise.

"What made you think that I would accept the invitation?" He asked.

"It is because our Alpha is your ally. He will be expecting you to attend the ceremony tomorrow." He said and I glanced over to my husband, a smirk was plastered on his face.

"Is that so? Please tell your Alpha that my Luna and I will attend the ceremony." He replied and my mouth agape from what he just said.

"Copy that, Alpha Romano. We will be leaving now and hope to see you tomorrow." They said and then walked away.

"What Pack are they from, Romano?" I asked and he smiled as he wrapped his hand around my waist.

"You will know it tomorrow, my darling." He replied and I shook my head. I was about to say something but I felt my head spinning.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked and I turned my gaze to him. His face seemed to be spinning in my eyes and my head started to ache again and then I lost consciousness.

Romano Pov

I could hear how loudly my heart was beating when I saw Jasmine acting so weird. She was holding her head and lips were turning pale. The next moment she fell unconscious, thank goodness I caught her before she reached the ground.

"Gosh!" I murmured as I laid her on the couch.

"Alpha Romano, what happened to her?" Dennis asked and I just sighed.

"Call Maya now." I commanded my friends and they nodded their heads responding to me. They already knew how to contact Maya. I don't need a doctor now because what is happening to Jasmine can't be explained by a doctor. I need someone that has supernatural powers and Maya is one of them because she is a seer.

"Will she be alright?" Dennis asked and I just nodded responding to him.

I held Jasmine's hand and kissed the back of it. Her strange behaviour is making me worry about her. She always lost her sanity and I am scared of what might be the cause of it.

"Stop making me worry, Jasmine." I whispered to her ear as I kissed her forehead.

In a few minutes, Tim and Harry came back and a woman was beside them. It is Maya, people always find it different to find her but whenever I needed her, she came on for me. Maya's race has once saved my clan. We protected their land against the enemies and ever since then, she has pledged her loyalty towards me that if I ever needed her help, she would definitely be at my service.

"Alpha Romano, I am glad to see you again." She said and I stood up and faced her.

"Can you help my wife? She is acting so weird and she always loses her sanity. The last time the doctor checked her, they found nothing wrong with her." I said to her and she sighed.

"I have seen this woman before and she will be your future, Alpha Romano. But I am scared that your dead mate will return and disrupt the both of you." Maya said and I looked at her with confusion written all over my face.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked her.

"I am scared that this woman would be the reincarnation of your dead mate. Do you notice anything unusual about her actions?" She asked and I thought for a while before replying.

"Apart from losing her consciousness, I don't notice any other thing." I replied to her as she came closer to the couch Jasmine was laid on and surprise Jasmine woke up.

"Goddess, you dead mate Evelyn is here already, Romano." Maya said and my mouth wide opened from what I just heard. What she said was making my head ache and I couldn't believe that this was actually happening. Apart from werewolves and vampires, other creatures like witches and wizards including humans also exist.

"Romano….." I heard that voice and it shattered my heart. I stared at Jasmine but her eyes looked different. Her eyes were the same as my dead mate.

"It is me Evelyn." She said between her sobs and my fist clenched as I realized what was going on.

"Eve….I approached her and hugged her.

"I miss you so much, Romano. I am deeply sorry to disturb your new mate but I have something to tell you." She said and now I was convinced that it was Evelyn in Jasmine's body.

"It's okay, Evelyn. I miss you so much too and I have been longing for this moment that I will be able to hug you again." I said as tears of joy streamed down my face. Evelyn is back and she is talking to me at the moment.

"Please help me, Romano. Help me and your new mate. We are in great danger, someone is manipulating. Please use your power as the Alpha to know who was behind everything. Jasmine and I are in great danger." She said and it made me sob.

It seems like my heart is breaking hearing those words from Evelyn. My tears were unstoppable as it continued streaming down my face. Crying may sound stupid but I don't care, I am crying because I love this woman so much.

"Help me, Romano…" She murmured and it caused me to mess my hair. I came closer to her and hugged her tightly.

"Please tell me what I can do. I have missed you so much." I said as she rubbed my back and then I finally realized that it was her. The way she caresses my back, I knew it was her. She is in Jasmine's body and I can't believe that this is really happening.

"She killed me, Romano." She said and I broke the embrace as I cupped her face with my two hands.

"Who killed you?" I asked in my anguish tone.

"I can't remember her. I am trying so much to recall her but I can't, Romano. Please listen to me, whatever happens, make sure you protect your new mate. Numerous enemies are planning to kill her, they are coming, Romano. Don't worry about me, I am fine regardless of what happened to me." She said and her words were crushing my heart in pain. She still remains the kind person she was and I never regretted loving her in the past.
