Jasmine


Dancing made me forget all the pain in my heart that the people I loved caused me. All that was on my mind at the moment was to enjoy and forget my sorrow even though I knew that after the party, I would still go back to my normal way of life and suffering is part of my daily existence. I was dancing on the floor when someone grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the dancing floor. I was able to scream at the person but my eyes widened when I saw his face.

"Hi." He said and I was shocked because I didn't think I was going to see Kenneth here.

"Hey, what brought you here?" I asked because I didn't see him earlier with Romano.

"Of course, my friends and I were invited and I am glad to see you here as well." He replied and I chuckled. I am not drunk but a little bit tipsy.

"I was about to punch the person that dragged me out when I realized it was you. So why did you drag me out of the dance floor?" I asked and it seemed weird the way she stared keenly at me and it made me feel uncomfortable.

"Men were disrespecting you on the dance floor so that is why I dragged you out of them." He said and my face flushed.

"Hmmmm….. thank you." I muttered and he just stared at me.

"Next time, don't allow yourself to be surrounded by men you don't know, okay?" He said and I just nodded.

I can't believe that he is this caring, he is not like this the first time I met him and I was happy that at least someone cares for me. I don't know why both of them were friends because they are both opposite in terms of personality. Romano is the opposite of Kenneth.

"Thank you for your concern, it means a lot to me." I said to him and he smiled and offered me a hand. I looked at him until I noticed that the music had changed into a romantic one.

"May I have a dance with you?" He asked and I bit my bottom lips. I never tried dancing with a man before. Charlie never danced with me when we were dating, although I didn't allow him.

I was about to accept Kenneth's hand when we heard a voice behind us. My heart jumped in nervousness when I recognized his voice, even though I didn't see his face, I shouldn't be mistaken about the voice, it was Romano's.

"Leave my wife, Kenneth." He said with an authoritative tone and it seemed horrifying.

"And who the hell are you to order your wife?" Kenneth asked and I could feel it that something was about to happen. Kenneth looked terrifying by how he stared at Romano. I sense trouble and I won't allow it to happen. This is not the place and time for them to create a mess.

"Shut your mouth, Kenneth. You are talking to your Alpha!" Romano said as he grabbed my wrist. He was about to drag me closer to him when Kenneth grabbed my other hand.

"Don't go with him, Jasmine. He will only hurt you." Kenneth said and he was actually saying the truth.

"Come with me, Jasmine. I am your husband." Romano said and I turned my attention to him. I glared daggers at him and both of them released my hands when I pulled it from them.

"You are my husband? How dare you say that to me, Romano. You never play your role of being a husband to me, you only enjoy hurting me but bringing a different mistress to our home and what pains me more is that the woman you brought home last was my identical twin sister for goodness sake!" I yelled as tears streamed down my face. My husband isn't even concerned about the tears on my eyes, he didn't even try to wipe them off and that hurt me more.

"Watch your mouth, Jasmine!" He warned me and I shook my head.

"Come on, Kenneth. Take me away from this jerk." I said and he was about to hold me when Roamno attacked him. He strangled his neck and I was terrifying seeing his eyes blazing in anger.

"You poisoned my wife's mind, Kenneth! I will kill you, you bastard!" He yelled as his eyes changed into another color and that scared me to death

The two of them were unbreakable and when they separated from each other, the next thing that happened made the crowd gasp. Both of them transformed into their wolves and all the guests started running away from us. Two big black wolves facing each other and waiting for who would attack first. My legs were already trembling in fear because I didn't want both friends to fight and I wanted to avoid being the reason for them to break up their friendship.

"Are you happy now, sister? Seeing Kenneth fighting his friend Romano just because of you." I turned when I heard her voice. Juliet was crossing her arm while staring at me. She wasn't even my problem now so I ignored her and focused on how I am going to convince these two powerful wolves to stop their battle. I am in serious trouble now.

Frustration filled all my senses now and I couldn't stand here seeing my husband and his best friend fighting just because of me. And what I don't understand is why Romano would be mad at Kenneth. I thought he doesn't care about me.

"I don't know what they see in you that causes both of them to fight just because of you, Jasmine." She said and I turned my attention to, I have almost forgotten that she is still here.

"Shut your mouth, Juliet." I said and she looked at me with a blank expression. I couldn't figure out what she was thinking at the moment because she is also hard to read. She wasn't like this before and I don't know what made her change.

"You better shut up and get out of Romano's life. Leave us alone, he is mine and besides he doesn't love you." She said and I looked at her with my curious reactions.

"Why are you like this, sister? Why do you want to take my husband away from me? We are twin sisters, not just that, we are identical twins." I said and she grinned at me.

"It doesn't matter, I would like to remind you that your husband is mine now and you can't do anything to take him away from me." She said as she walked away. I watched her walk out of my sight, I clenched my fist and turned my attention to the two big wolves. They are staring at each other while grinning.

"Please, stop this." I begged as tears streamed down to my check. They both glanced at me as they turned themselves back to human form, I closed my eyes still crying.

"If you don't want us to fight, then obey my instructions, Jasmine." Romano said and I turned my attention towards him as he is wearing his clothes now.

"You don't get it, Romano. If you want me to obey you, then stop flirting with my sister and your mistresses." I said but he just stared at me like he doesn't care at all.

Romano turned his back at me without saying a word, I was hurt again by him doing that. He is really hurting me and shattering my heart into pieces and I don't understand why.

"Don't mind him, Jasmine. I am really sorry for what happened, the part was ruined because of us." Kenneth said and I shifted my attention towards him.

"Take me home, Kenneth." I said as I messaged my friends that I would be leaving, they were outside waiting for me but I told them that I will be going home with Kenneth.

Kenneth and I left the party hall without talking. He drove the car away and my attention was focused on the window side. I wasn't in the mood for any discussion after what happened earlier, all I am thinking about now is Romano. I was trying to figure out his reason for fighting with his best friend, is it because he has fallen in with me? But that is not possible because he can never fall in with me, he told me that. He will never love me because I am a human and he will never fall in love with a human because of what happened to his dead mate.
