Jasmine

"Damn you, Lydia! My husband will save me, remember that!" I screamed but she was already out of my sight. My fist clenched because of anger, I can't believe that Lydia will abduct me because of her insecurities towards me. She wanted to kill me despite what she did to me in the past. She seduced my ex-boyfriend, Charlie even though she was my best friend and her obsession towards my boyfriend ruined our friendship. I was still thinking about what Lydia said earlier. Who was she referring to? Who is she waiting for before killing me? Who could they be?

Tears streamed down my face because of the thought that it will be the end of my life but I am still hoping that Romano will come and save me. I am still hoping that my husband will rescue me from Lydia's traps. I was about to close my eyes when I heard a loud roar from a wolf and my heart pounded immediately. I recognized that roar and I knew it was Romano. He has come to rescue me and tears of joy stream down my face.

"Romano……" I called out his name and the door of the room opened widely. Lydia is back and she looked at me with anguish all over her face.

"I will kill you, Jasmine." She said to me as untied my hands and legs and pointed the gun at me. I can't do anything to escape, I was terrified at the thought that she might shoot me and that marks the end of my life. I wanted to escape her but how am I supposed to do that when she held me at gunpoint.

"Please put the gun down, Lydia and let us talk things through." I said as I was trying to convince her to spare my life but she just burst out laughing. She is crazy, her insecurities had made her mad and I knew she can't be convinced this way.

"Shut up, Jasmine. Just follow me quietly, I will kill both of you today. The almighty powerful Alpha Romano will die in my hand, I will make sure of that." She said and I grit my teeth.

"You really think you can beat the powerful Alpha Romano? Are you out of your mind, Lydia? The man you want to kill is an Alpha King and a mere being like you will never beat him." I said but she just laughed.

"You will make it possible. The Alpha is in love with you and I will use you to defend him." She replied and my tears became teary.

"As if I will allow you to do that." I said to her but she kept laughing until we reached where Romano's location was. Tears streamed down my face when I saw him in his wolf form, he looked at me and I could see from his eyes that he was worried about me. The way his wolf gritted his teeth, I know that he is really mad at Lydia.

"Look at your precious mate, Alpha Romano. She will die in my hands today and I won't ever allow you to rescue her from my trap." Lydia said and then I heard loud gunshots echo in the surroundings and it made my heart pounded too fast.

It was as if I couldn't move my legs when I heard the gunshot and I wondered who was hit by it. I looked around and saw Lydia's body on the ground covered with blood.

"Romano…." I called his name and felt a strong hand grab my arms and pulled me into his embrace. I cried because of what just happened.

"Lydia is dead, Jasmine. You shouldn't be scared anymore." Romano said and I nodded my head responding to him. I turned around to see the person that shot Lydia and I was shocked when I saw her face.

"Juliet." I called out her name as I realized that it was my identical twin sister the one that killed Lydia. She was still holding the gun and it scared me.

"Everything is alright now, Jasmine. Lydia is dead and I killed her to save you." She said and my mouth agape. I couldn't believe that she came to rescue me, it really seems hard to believe. I freed myself from Romano's embrace and towards my identical twin as I didn't think twice before hugging her with my teary eyes.

"Thank you for coming to save me, you don't know what that means to me. I can't believe that you are here for me, Juliet." I said and she rubbed my back to comfort me.

"Yes, I am upset with you but I won't allow them to hurt you, Jasmine. You are my identical twin sister and whatever happens, the fact that we are related my blood won't ever change." She said and I even cried more as I hugged her tightly and sobbed on her shoulder.

"But how did you find out our whereabouts?" I asked her and she seemed shocked by my question but she recovered afterwards.

"I saw your husband and I didn't hesitate to follow him." She replied and I nodded my head.

She was really upset with me and it seemed strange that she came to rescue me. What is her intention of doing so? I remembered how mad she was the last time we saw each other. She is mad at me because she thinks that I took Romano away from her. Although there were so many negative thoughts running through my head about her intention to save me, I keep forcing my mind to believe that she saved me because we are sisters. I shouldn't judge her because I love her so much. Whatever is her real intention, I should be thankful to her because she saved my life.

"What is your intention for saving me, Juliet?" I asked her as I couldn't hold it back again and she raised her eyebrows.

"What do you think was my intention, Jasmine?" She asked me and my mouth opened widely.

"I saved you because no matter what happened, you are still my sister and I willingly saved your life without any bad intentions." She replied and tears streamed down my face. I felt guilty for what I thought earlier. She saved my life and I should be grateful that despite what happened between us in the past, she still saved me.

"I am sorry for thinking that way, Juliet. You know how much I love you and I do appreciate what you did for me. Thank you for saving my life." I said to her and she smiled. She held my hand and looked me deep in the eyes.

"I am sorry for what happened in the past, Jasmine. You know, I regretted all I did to you and I just realized that we should fix things because we are still sisters." She said but her words sounded weird to me and I am still not convinced. It seems like there is something missing on her.

"We do hope that you are sincere with your words, Juliet." My head turned to the voice as I noticed that my friends were here as well.

"It is up to you if you want to believe me or not. I won't force you all because what matters to me now is that I was able to save my sister's life." Juliet responded.

"No, Juliet. We believe you." I said and she took a step away from us but I grabbed her hand and hugged her for the second time. She is my twin sister and whatever happened in the past, I should move on and forget about it.

"Thank you for believing me, sister. I need to leave now and hope to see you again soon." She said and I nodded as she walked away from us. I turned my gaze towards Lydia's body laying on the ground as she was covered with blood. She is dead and I feel sorry for what happened to her.

I was still staring at the body of Lydia when a hand wrapped around my waist and it made me smile. I have almost forgotten that my husband is here with me, he spun me around and cupped my face with his two massive hands.

"Are you alright?" He asked me in his worried expression.

"Yes, I am fine, Romano. Everything is fine now and I am so grateful that I saw you again." I replied and tears streamed down my face again, I can't stop being emotional. I thought earlier that my life would end in the hands of my old friend and I will never be able to see Romano again but the moon goddess never abandoned me. She always guides me and I am so happy that I have been given another chance to live.

"I don't know what I would have done if you were hurt. I came to rescue you but your twin sister exceeded me." Romano said as he wiped the tears off my face.

"It is okay, Romano. What matters most now is that I am safe and Lydia didn't succeed in her plans to kill me." I replied and he hugged me again as I cried on his chest. He rubbed my back trying to comfort me as he carried me out of the surroundings. I was disheartened about her death but it was her insecurities that killed her.
