"I am also lucky to have you, Jasmine. You love me despite my past and my attitude and now our relationship is better than what it was before, remember." He said and I sighed.

"I am sorry, Romano if I felt insecure. You know that I am just scared that one day, Evelyn would appear and she will take you away from me. I am also scared that you will choose her over me." I said as tears streamed down my face because of the thought.

"Please, don't think that way. It is impossible for that to happen because Evelyn died a long time ago. She will never come back." He responded as he wiped the tears off my face.

"Don't feel insecure because if ever she comes back, I would never choose her over you. You are my present and she was my past. The only thing I wanted to do now is to give her justice, so don't overthink please." He reassured me.

"Please forgive me if I overthink, Romano. You know I can't stop myself from thinking that way. What if Evelyn is still alive and decides to come back to your life, what will happen to us if your first mate comes back?" I asked him and he became speechless for a moment before saying something.

"That will never happen. She died a long time ago and we buried her dead body already." He replied.

"I know but what if….." He caressed my face and it made me close my eyes.

"It is just an assumption, Jasmine. Wherever you are thinking will never happen. Evelyn is dead and she will never come back to separate us. You are now my mate and I have loved you more than the way I loved Evelyn. Although she still lives within my heart, you are the one I love. Please think about the positive ways, don't overthink because whatever happens, I will always choose you." He assured me and his words almost melted my heart.

His words made me feel better and alive again. I will hold on to his promises to me that whatever happened, he will choose me over his dead mate. I am not being selfish but I was always there for him so he must forget his past and focus on his present and his future. I am in his life and I will love him all my life but how could he achieve a happy life if he can't let go of his past?

"I am sorry if I overthink, Romano. Whatever happens, always remember that I love you and my love for you can't ever be changed." I said and he took my lips and kissed me passionately, I closed my eyes and responded to his irresponsible kiss.

Romano is my happiness and losing him would be my greatest failure in life.

After the intense kiss between me and Romano, we stepped out of the room together as I am feeling better now compared to earlier. Romano never left my side even in the bathroom, we took shower together and I couldn't stop myself from laughing because of his actions. He became so me and he doesn't even want me to be alone even though we were just in the house. After some minutes, we came out of the bathroom and got dressed. His friends were already waiting for us in the main corridor because he has a meeting to attend in his office and he insisted that I must come along with them.

"When I am in the meeting, please don't ever go anywhere else, Jasmine. Just stay in my office, okay?" He said and I nodded my head responding to him as we were already on our way to his company.

"Yes, Alpha Romano." I replied with a teasing tone and he just stared at me.

"I am serious, Jasmine. Don't go out of my office and don't entertain people that you don't know. Just stay in my office, okay? I will make the meeting quick." He said and I grinned at him.

"What is the meeting all about, Romano?" I asked and he heaved a sign before responding.

"It is all about business." He replied and then held my hand.

"I can't wait to announce to them that you are now my Luna and manage my company as well." He said and my eyes widened. I looked into his eyes and I could see the seriousness in his eyes about what he just said.

"But, I don't have any idea about the company, Romano. Please don't tell them about it because I have no experience on how to run a company." I said and he stared at me.

"Don't worry, I will teach you but please don't refuse me. I want both of us to manage the affairs of the company because you are my mate and my properties will also be yours as well." He replied and I just bit my bottom lips.

"I am not interested in your wealth, Romano. Do you know what matters to me?" I asked and he raised his eyebrows.

"What? He asked with a smirk on his face.

"What matters to me is that I have you by my side. All I want is your love and care, Romano. I don't care if you are the Alpha, a billionaire or any other thing. The love I have for you can't be purchased with wealth." I replied and he wrapped his hand around my waist. I am serious about those words I just said, his wealth is not what I want. All I wanted from him is his true love and care.

"I know, Jasmine but please don't stop me because I wanted it. I want you to be the one that manages my company as well." He said, I sighed deeply responding to him.

"But, Romano….." He didn't allow me to finish my sentence when he placed his finger on my lips.

"No more buts, Jasmine. That is an other from your Alpha." He said and I have no other choice than to nod my head, agreeing with him. He didn't give me any chance to talk about it again as we were already in the company. We walked inside the building together with his friends behind us. As usual, all the employees were staring at us and I bent my head to hide my face from them. Romano was holding my hand until we entered his office and I couldn't stop myself from smiling because of it.

"Stay here, Jasmine and don't go anywhere else, please. I will be back shortly." He told me and I nodded my head. Romano and his friends walked out of the office and I was left all alone, thinking about what I needed to do to ease the boredom.

"Maybe, cleaning his office would be better to ease the boredom." I said to myself and smiled. I started cleaning his office and left no dirt to be seen. I was in the middle of mobbing the floor when I heard the door crack open.

"Oh hi, can you remove the trash?" My blood boiled when I heard a female voice behind me. My grip on the rag tightened hearing her voice.

"Hey, are you deaf?" She added and it made me stand up from kneeling and face her. The moment I turned my attention towards her, my brows raised. She is not familiar to me and goodness she is so beautiful. Who the hell is she?

"Do you have some work here?" I asked her and she crossed her arm staring at me.

"Don't you know me? What the hell! She asked me with an irritating tone.

"Don't answer me with a question." I said and I noticed that she became even more irritated.

"Where is Alpha Romano? I am looking for him." She said as she wandered her eyes to every corner of the office. I crossed my arms as well, staring at her.

"What do you want from him? Maybe I can help you tell him when he returns." I said and she looked at me, disbelievingly. Were my words wrong?

"You are going to tell him what I want? Are you mocking me, maid?" She asked me.

"I have a name and not a maid." I replied, this woman really thinks that I would allow her to degrade me. No, that will never happen, I won't allow her to degrade me.

"So if you are not a maid, what do you think of yourself? You even mob the floor, yeck!" She said and even made a face to me. She is wealthy based on how she dresses, the way she stands, the way she talks and walks but what did she want from my husband? Is she one of Romano's mistresses in the past? Goodness, until when will they stop throwing themselves at my husband.

"Just answer my question. Who are you and what do you want from Romano Kelvin?" I asked her.
