Jasmine

Our vacation ended earlier than I expected. The remaining days I spent at the resort weren't enjoyable because I didn't see my husband again. I discovered that he went home without telling me. My heart is aching because of him as I couldn't understand him. He is sweet sometimes but he used to be cold. Well, I should get used to his attitude because I love a man who changes his mood from time to time.

We left the resort and were heading home and my friends can't accompany me home because they have an urgent meeting to attend to. I went home all alone and I felt nervous as I got closer to the house. I admit that I missed him, I haven't seen him for two days now. The moment I was about to step out of the car, my phone rang. I picked it up as I saw that it was my father calling.

"Hello?" I said as soon as I picked up the call.

"We need to talk to you, Jasmine. You mother and I are waiting for you." He said as he hung up the call without allowing me to speak. I took a deep breath and then told the driver to drop me at my family house.

In a few minutes, we arrived at my parent's house and my heart pumped too fast in my chest because of the unexplainable feeling. I couldn't tell what it was but all I knew is that something was wrong. I went inside the house and found my parents sitting on the couch with my twin sister beside them. My attention turned to her and I noticed anger from the way she stared at me. Did I do something wrong to her?

"So, what is the problem?" I asked as I sat down in front of them.

"We are glad that you came, Jasmine." My father said and I rolled my eyes at him.

"What do you guys want from me? Let us fool ourselves because I knew the two of us needed something from me." I said and they grind at me.

My instincts were right, they needed something from me. It is either money or something that they would benefit from.

"Let's be practical, Jasmine. We know that you knew about the money your husband gave us previously." My father said and that made my chest ache as I remembered what Romano told me the last time. My father demanded money from him in exchange for me and now I am scared of what they are about to ask.

"What do you want?" I asked him and an evil smirk formed on his face as he was staring at me. It hurts me to know that my family was treating me like I wasn't part of them.

"Tell your husband to invest capital in my small business." He said and I looked at him with confusion.

"Really father? You are building up your business again?" I asked in a sarcastic way.

When we were young, I remembered my father building up his business but something happened that destroyed it. He lost his investors and also the money he invested went to nothing.

"Watch your mouth Jasmine, stop being disrespectful. He is your father." My mother said and I glanced at her with my blazing eyes. Yes, they were my parents but I can't feel their care towards me. My twin sister and I had a terrible experience with them.

"If you want my husband to invest capital in your business then, talk to him yourself." I said as I glanced over to them. There is no use for me to stay here for long and I shouldn't waste my saliva talking to them because I know they won't stop not until they convince me.

"Jasmine, can we talk?" Juliet said and almost forgot that she was there as well.

"Juliet, I…." I paused as I don't know how to start my sentence. She was scaring me with the way she was staring at me.

"It is about Romano." She said and it caused me to be tense. Hearing my twin mentioned my husband's name, I couldn't stop myself from feeling uneasy.

"What about him?" I asked nervously and she only stared at me for a while before responding to me.

"Divorce him." She said and my mouth was wide open. I can't believe what I heard my twin sister say, her words were so hard to digest.

"Seriously? For what reason, Juliet?" I asked her.

"Because I said so. You know how much I adored him when we were young and I understand why he marries you, Jasmine." She replied and I clenched my fist.

"No, I won't divorce him." I said and she glanced at me with fierce eyes.

She gripped my hand as she looked at me with a furious reaction. I can't understand the reason why she became like this. Did she know the reason why I married Romano? I married Alpha Romano because I don't want my parents to arrange her marriage with him. The reason I decided to offer myself is because I don't wish her to experience the pain I am feeling now because of Romano's behaviour.

"I love him, sister. Please offer him to me. You don't want the length I can go if you don't give him to me." She threatened and I averted my gaze from her because I wanted to avoid finding out her reaction.

Knowing my twin sister, she is a spoiled brat and everything she wants will be granted. I can never share my husband with anyone else, not even my own twin sister.

"Is that a threat, sister?" I asked as I turned to look at her and she had an evil smirk on her face.

"Yes, you can consider it a threat from your twin sister, Jasmine. I don't care if you are my twin sister but if you don't give him back to me, I will do everything in my power to take him away from you." She said and I clenched my fist.

"Why are you like this, Juliet? I am your twin sister and the man you wanted to take away from me is my husband for goodness sake!" I exclaimed but she just looked at me with no emotions.

"I don't care if he is your husband. Just remember, Jasmine, that I will do everything just to take him away from you because Alpha Romano is mine and mine alone." She said as she walked away.

I was left dumbfounded with my fist clenched. Her threats are making me nervous. Knowing my twin sister's capabilities, I know she would never stop not until she got what she wanted.

I left my parents house and was heading back home. I was still thinking about what my twin sister said to me earlier, I don't why she always acts like that. I knew that she admired Alpha Romano when we were young, even though he is known to be the famous lethal and heartless Alpha. It was not an issue back then but the problem is that the man she admires is now my husband.

I love Romano with all my heart now despite his attitude and I can't ever give him to my twin sister neither will I let her take him away from me. It doesn't matter if she would be mad at me but I will never give my husband to her. In just a few minutes, I got to the house and was walking down the hallway. The house was so calm and there was no trace of him and his mistress. I was a little bit confused. Where did he go? I was about to enter my room when someone grabbed my hand and it almost fled my soul.

"What the hell!" I exclaimed and my eyes widened when I saw Romano's Beta, Ashton. He held my wrist and stared deep into my eyes.

"Miss Jasmine, we need you." He said and I raised my eyebrows and removed his grip on my wrist and crossed my arms.

"If it is about your Alpha, just forget it because talking to him is useless." I replied and he heaved a sigh.

"Alpha Romano is in a bar and he is making a mess. We can't control him, not even his friends." He said and I stood up straight.

"He is making a mess? What do you mean by that?" I asked and my heart was already pounding so loudly in my chest because of him.

"Miss Jasmine, he is uncontrollable." He responded and I sighed.

"And you think I can control him? No way, he won't listen to me because I am just his wife on paper and a woman like me will never control that beast." I said and he was about to walk away when I grabbed his hand. I turned to him and his eyes were pleading.

"He was calling your name Miss Jasmine. He really needs you and you are the reason he is in this condition now." He said and my heart pounded so fast inside my chest. I can't believe his words because it seems so unbelievable.
