"Thanks for the care, Kenneth and I are happy that you are back. We all are happy to see you again." I said and he smiled again.

"What is going on?" My heart pounded when someone spoke behind us and a hand wrapped around my waist.

"Romano." I called my husband's name as I was scared of what he might think seeing me talking to Kenneth. Knowing him, I can't figure out what was running through his head.

"Oh, dude, don't worry your wife and I were just talking. She is also my friend as well." Kenneth replied I felt fear in my body.

"Don't worry, Kenneth because I trusted my wife." Romano said and I turned my gaze to him. He smiled at me and it made my face flushed. I am glad that he is not mad.

"I know, I will leave the two of you here. Let me talk to the others as well." Kenneth said and I nodded my head. Romano grabbed my waist the moment Kenneth left and sounded me around to face him. He stared deeply into my eyes.

"What happened?" He asked and it made my brows furrowed.

"About what?" I asked in my curiosity.

"Eve…" He said and I heaved a sigh before responding to him.

"She is looking for you, Romano. I don't know but there is something wrong with her. I am sorry if I am thinking this way again." I said and he held my hand.

"Don't mind her, Jasmine. Don't worry about her because I will keep an eye on her. I don't believe in her words because I know that she is not my dead mate's reincarnation." Romano said and his words made me feel relieved. I am happy that he didn't believe any of her words. Well, I almost forgot that Romano is an Alpha and I am certain that before he believes her, he will investigate it.

"But what if she is telling the truth?" I asked Romano, I wanted to scold myself for asking such a question but you know, I couldn't avoid overthinking it.

"I don't care If she is telling the truth. You are my wife and I will never choose Evelyn over you because she is already my past. You are the one I love now, Jasmine and remember that Romano Kelvin will always choose you." He replied and tears streamed down my face because of what he just said to me. I can't explain the happiness I felt in my heart knowing that he will always choose me over his dead mate. I am more comfortable than even if Eve proves that she was telling the truth, Romano will still choose my side no matter what happens.

"I will hold on to your promise, Romano." I said to him and he pulled me into his embrace. I closed my eyes and felt the moment as I was locked in his arms. Being in his arms makes me feel safe and comfortable. He is the powerful Alpha of this Pack and I am convinced that I am safe when he is by my side. A lot of things have happened to us in the past and whatever struggles we might face in the future, I am certain that we can solve it together.

"Alpha Romano, Miss Jasmine, I am sorry to interrupt your moment but others are waiting for the both of you." Ashton informed us and we separated from each other's embrace. He held my hand as we faced Ashton.

"We are coming." He responded and he bowed his head as he left us.

"Do we have visitors?" I asked him and he shook his head.

"No, we don't. We have a celebration tonight to officially welcome Kenneth and we will be going to the grocery store to buy some food stuff." He replied and I nodded my head responding to him. I am happy that he is celebrating his friend's arrival.

"What about Eve? Are we leaving her here?" I asked and he just nodded his head. We held each other's hands as we walked to where the others were waiting for us. They were sitting on the couch in the main corridor when we got to them.

"Let us go now." Romano said and it made everyone stand up.

"Are you sure about this, Romano? I mean, I don't need this celebration because what matters to me is that I am already here with you guys." Kenneth said and it made Romano look at him with his serious face.

"Don't decline it, Kenneth. You deserve to be welcomed like this." He replied and Kenneth had no other choice but to nod his head agreeing with him. He held my hand as we walked out of the house. I turned my head back to the house as I felt like someone was watching us secretly. Romano noticed it and then spoke.

"Are you alright?" He asked and l heaved a deep breath before responding.

"It seems like someone is watching us, Romano. I felt like something would happen during the celebration." I responded to him. I was overtraining again and I am mad at myself for thinking like that. Romano held my hand and it made me look at him.

"Look at me in the eyes, Jasmine." He motioned me, I looked into his eyes and all I could see was safety.

"I am deeply sorry, Romano. My instinct is telling me that something would happen in tonight's celebration, I swear. I am trying to stop myself from overreacting but…." He couldn't let me finish my sentence as he took my lips and started kissing me. It felt as if all the doubts faded away from my mind.

"Nothing will happen, Jasmine. Don't overeat and the celebration is our house. We are safe here so stop overeating, okay?" He assured me and I just nodded my head. He is right, I shouldn't overreact because the celebration is being held in our home. We are safe at home and no one will ruin the celebration.

"My apologies for stressing you. Come on, we should keep going because others are waiting for us." I said to him and held my hand as we walked towards the car park. We used his sports car and he was driving by himself. The rest make use of the other car including his men. The ride was quiet until we reached the mall. We were still at the parking lobby when I noticed a group of men standing in the other direction. The strand of my hair stood on end when I noticed something strange with them. It was as if death was coming towards us.

"Stay beside me, Jasmine." Romano said and it made me look at him with curiosity.

"What is happening, Romano?" I asked him but all this attention was focused on those men.

"Just stay by my side." He said as he stepped out of the car and the door for me. He held my hand as we went out of the car. Our companions were behind us but I was paying attention to them, all my attention was focused on the group of men in front of us.

"Alpha Romano." A man appeared in front of us and it made my mouth agape. His face looked familiar and I couldn't figure out where I had seen him.

"What are you people doing on my land?" Romano asked them in his furious tone.

"Why? Are we not allowed here?" He asked Romano.

"Have you forgotten what I told you before, Mark? Your group is not allowed to step into my land and because you disobeyed my rules, you are going to taste my anger." Romano exclaimed and the next thing that happened scared me to death. It was as if my soul wanted to separate itself from my body because of the fear.

Romano and his companions transformed into their wolf's form. They were grinning in front of the ground and I felt terrified about the thought that something bad would happen. I felt someone pull my hand and it almost made me jump out of nervousness. When I turned my head, I found Kenneth and felt relieved knowing it was him.

"We should leave this place, Jasmine." He said but I returned my attention towards my husband.
