Chapter 14

Jasmine

I was in the hallway when I met Romano's Beta, Ashton. He looked at me curiously when he noticed my clothes.

"Where are you going, miss Jasmine?" He asked and I rolled my eyes responding to him.

"I am going to hang out with my friends at the bar. Where is your Alpha?" I said and he heaved a deep breath before responding to me.

"He left with his mistress and I don't know where they went." He said and I clenched my fist. A deep breath escaped from my lips before I responded to him.

"Okay, if he ever comes back, don't tell him where I went." I said to him and he looked at me disbelievingly.

"But, miss Jasmine…" He couldn't finish his sentence before I walked away from him.

I don't care if Romano would be upset with me, he left with his mistress so he can't stop me from going out to see my friends. I ordered a cap that will take me to our favorite spot where my friends were already waiting for me. It has been a while since I saw them last, my heart skipped a bit out of excitement of seeing them again. It took me twenty minutes to get there.

The colourful lights, smell of alcohol and music met me when I stepped inside the famous bar. I wandered my eyes around the place and I smiled when I saw my friends sitting at one of the tables inside the bar.

"Hey! They shouted as they saw me and moved closer to them. We hugged each other as soon as I got to the table.

Nina, Khloe and Ciara are my friends. Actually, we were five including Lydia but since she betrayed me, we removed her from our group.

"We miss you." Ciara said and I smiled in response.

"We heard the news that you are married to the Alpha, is it true?" Khloe asked and my face flushed me. They heard the news but they didn't know that we are only married on paper.

"Yes, Alpha Romano is now my husband." I replied and they smiled like they weren't expecting me to acknowledge the news. They were aware how my life became misery after what Lydia and Charlie did to me.

"You are so lucky to be married to Alpha Romano. He is so cute and powerful as well " Nina said and I just smiled.

"Let us not talk about my husband because we have so many things to catch up with." I said and they all chuckled.

They laughed and I laughed as well while we talked about the things that happened to all of us these past few months, until the topic of Lydia and Charlie came up. I am still furious every time I hear their names. It seems like I wanted to strangle them and make life miserable for both of them. They hurt me and broke me, luckily I have recovered from the pain I experienced three years ago.

My vision was starting to be blurry because of the alcohol but I don't care about it. As long as it made me forget about Romano and the pain I felt in my heart, I don't mind getting drunk. I tried to stand up but my head was spinning and I was about to fall when someone caught me and immediately my heart jumped out of nervousness.

When I looked at the man that caught me, I suddenly felt dismayed as I thought it was Romano but definitely it wasn't him. Although I was drunk, I can still clearly see his face very well and definitely he was Romano.

"Hello handsome." I said and a sweet smile formed to my lips as I caressed his face.

"Are you alright, Miss?" He asked but I shook my head.

"No,I am not okay." I replied and he furrowed his brows.

"Hey, handsome. Thank you for catching our friend, we can take good care of her now so give her back to us." Nina said but I didn't pay attention to them as I was captivated by this man's face.

Goodness, he is so handsome but Romano's handsomeness and presence is way different from what I felt towards this man. Damn! What am I thinking? I shouldn't be thinking of that jerk. He is not worth my time and effort.

"She is drunk, let me help you guys." He said as he carried me immediately and I couldn't hide the smile that made its way to my lips because of his actions. He started walking as he carried me and my friends had no other choice than to follow us.

"Thank you, handsome." I said as I can't understand what I was doing, maybe it is because of the alcohol I drank. I guess it was too much on my system. My head was spinning but I was able to see and hear what was happening around me.

"Where do you live?" He asked and I just laughed.

"Do you know where to find hell?" I asked him and stopped walking as he looked at me with confusion all over his face.

"What?" He asked and that made me laugh again.

Seriously, I am hurting deeply inside every time I remember Romano. I really thought that he was going to follow me but I just hoped for nothing. He doesn't care about me now as he became cold towards me for no reason.

"If you know where to find hell, then that is where I live. I am living with a demon and that is why I called my home hell." I replied as bitterness evolved within my heart. I felt so disheartened each time I remember seeing Romano having sex with his mistress. It hurts me and I couldn't understand why I am feeling that way.

"Silly, you are drunk, Miss." He said and I shook my head.

"She is living with Romano Kelvin." Khloe said and the man's widened.

"Damn, you are Romano's wife?" He asked and I just smiled bitterly.

"Yes, but we are only married on paper." I said as I don't care if Romano would be mad if the public got to know our agreement. Who the hell cares anyway?

"Who would think that the woman I am carrying now is my friend's wife." He said and I looked at me disbelievingly. I tried to remember his face but I couldn't tell if I had seen him before. He smiled because of the way I was staring at him.

"You are Romano's friend?" I asked, making sure I heard him correctly and he slowly nodded his head responding to me.

"Yes, my name is Kenneth, a friend of Romano. I just got home earlier and went straight to the bar." He said and I nodded my head responding to him. I really wanted to talk to him more but I am now losing my sanity. The alcohol is making my eyes heavy and I know I am going to lose my sanity if time is not taking.

"Can we drive her to her husband's house?" Khloe asked and I smiled in bitterness again. I don't want to go home yet but I am losing my sanity and I need to rest.

"Of course." He replied and that is when my eyes finally closed and everything went blank.

Romano

I was calling my wife's phone countless times but her phone call was unreasonable. That woman is really giving me so many headaches. She is making me so worried. Some hours had passed but she was still not yet back. I am really upset with her but I can't help but be worried. She is still my wife no matter what even if it is just on paper. If she was harmed, it was still my fault.

"Ashton!" I shouted my Beta's name and my voice echoed throughout the hallway but I didn't care. This is my house and I can do whatever I want to do.

"Alpha?" He responded and I stared at him angrily. He became uncomfortable the way I looked at him.

"Where did my wife go?" I asked and he immediately averted his face from me.

"I don't know, Alpha." He replied and I glared daggers at him.

"I am your Alpha and if you are going to lie to me, I won't hesitate to kill you." My words were threatening but I didn't care. I wanted to see my wife and for some reason, I am worried about her safety.

"Apologies, Alpha Miss Jasmine told me that she is going to meet her friends." He said and I arched my brows. Friend?

"Where?" I asked but he bent his head.

"She is going to meet them in a bar, that is what she told me." He replied and I sighed deeply.

"We will continue this conversation when I return, Ashton." I said as I picked up my car key. I was about to drive off when I saw a familiar car coming in my direction.

I furrowed my brows when I recognised the sports car and it was owned by my friend, Kenneth. I wasn't even aware that he was in town, the other car also caught my attention. I didn't recognize the car and it confused me with who Kenneth was with. I waited for Kenneth to come out of his car and as soon as he got out, he was carrying a woman and it made me stand straight.

"Jasmine." I murmured as I walked closer to him. Why is my wife with Kenneth? Goodness, it seems like I wanted to strangle his neck for carrying my wife.

"Romano, your wife, Jasmine is drunk." He said as carried my wife from him.

I could feel my blood boil because of the thought that Kenneth was carrying her all the time and why is this girl drunk?

"Alpha Romano, we are Jasmine's friends." I turned my attention to the other companies of Kenneth, my brows furrowed again as I saw these ladies besides Kenneth.

"What happened?" I asked and they all looked at each other before replying to my question.

"She drank too much alcohol earlier, she seemed to be in misery." One of the ladies said and I was shocked.

I looked at Jasmine and she was sleeping so peacefully. I was worried so much about her earlier.
