Chapter 104

Jasmine

"How did you know that? Who are you and why are you so confident that my parents are dead already?" I asked her in my shaking voice. She then turned and faced me. I was shocked when I saw her teary eyes.

"Your mother was my sister." She replied, I was shocked with what she just let out. I couldn't believe what I just heard.

"If you were my mother's sister, why then didn't you look for us?" I asked her as tears began to stream down my face.

"It was because your mother and I weren't on good terms even until she died. I was in another country when I heard the news about their death and when I arrived, you and your sister were nowhere to be found." She to me.

"I can't remember anything because I lost my memory when I was still a teenager. The doctor said that it would be hard for me to regain my memory. So I can't remember my parents nor my past life." She held my hand as she stared deeply into my eyes.

"I am deeply sorry, Jasmine but I swear, I tried looking for you and your sister. Your parents died because someone killed them and up till now we have no idea who their killer was." She said, I nodded my head.

I was so devastated hearing this tremendous news about my real parents. They were dead already, I wasn't even given a chance to see them again. Although I couldn't remember anything about them, I felt within me that they love us. It is so hard to think that I will never see them again. If there is something I can do to bring them back to life but that isn't impossible.

"Someone killed them? Who could that be? I swear I am going to kill them!" I said gritting my teeth. My parents died because someone killed them, I cursed them for doing that to my biological parents. They are such a monster for killing them.

"Don't worry, Jasmine because I will never stop seeking justice for their death. I am still trying to find the culprit, they must pay for what they did to my sister and her husband. Even though we weren't on good terms, I wasn't wishing her to die like this. They have no right to kill them." She said, gritting her teeth. I walked closer to my aunt and hugged her tightly, she hugged me back. I am so convinced that she was telling the truth, she is really my mother's sister.

"We won't stop seeking justice for what they did to them." I said to her.

Whoever that killed my parents, they will surely pay for what they did towards them, I swear to that. She brought us to her small house and I found out that we used to live in this Pack. I was shocked knowing that this Pack is led by Nelson, that is Evelyn's brother. So this is the Pack I was born in. I still can't believe that this is actually happening to my life. It was as if I was the unluckiest woman on earth. My sister and my husband betrayed me, we were the adopted children of Philip's family, my biological parents were dead and most especially, I lost my memory. What else should I need to know?

"Always remember that I am here beside you." Kenneth said, I smiled because of what he said. I turned my gaze towards him and gave him a precious smile.

"Thank you so much for your kindness, Kenneth. You are so kind and I owe everything to you." I said to him.

"I can do anything for you, Jasmine, because I love you. I am willing to wait till you open your heart again." A heavy sigh escaped my mouth because of what he said. I felt so guilty because he has been the only one by my side but I can't love him. The only man within my heart is just Romano and I can't lie to him about my feelings for Romano.

"We should leave now, Kenneth." I said to him just to change the topic. He nodded his head and let out a deep breath. I walked towards my mother's sister and bid her goodbye. We need to leave as soon as possible because we don't belong to this Pack.

"Oh, Jasmine." She called as I approached her.

"We need to leave now. I will drop my phone number to you and please call me as soon as you find any lead about those that killed my parents. If I have time, I will be visiting you from time to time." I said to her and she nodded her head. I was about to leave when she grabbed my shoulder and hugged me.

"Please be careful, Jasmine. Don't allow the enemies to beat you." She said to me, I nodded my head at her.

"I will take note of that, aunt. We will be leaving now, hoping to see you soon." I said to her as I walked back to where Kenneth was waiting for me. We stepped out of the house and drove off immediately. We didn't have a conversation on the way not until he stopped his car in the middle of the road.

"Gosh!" He cussed which made me turn towards his direction. My mouth opened widely as my heart pounded inside my chest from what I saw. There were enemies in front of us and this time, it wasn't from Romano.

"Are they an enemy, Kenneth?" I asked him in my shaking voice, he nodded his head.

"Whatever happened, stay inside the car and use this, Jasmine." I swallowed hard my saliva when he gave me a gun.

"But I don't know how to use this, Kenneth." He held my hand as he stared deeply into my eyes.

"Listen to me, Jasmine. This is the only weapon you can use if ever a wolf tried attacking you. This is for your protection because I will be fighting them outside." He said to me, I nodded my head while biting my lips.

"Be careful, Kenneth." He smiled as he removed his clothes.

"Don't worry because even though I will be fighting them, I will also be watching you." He said to me and I nodded my head.

Kenneth stepped out of the car as he started attacking them. There were so many of them and I don't know if he would be able to fight them all alone. I let out a deep breath before stepping out of the car because he really needs my help.

"You can do this, Jasmine." I tried to energize myself as I held the gun tightly. The wolves noticed my presence and then faced me. My hands were shaking when I started pulling the trigger. I couldn't explain how I felt when I killed one of the wolves and I didn't notice that one wolf was behind me. He attacked me and it made the gun fall from my hand. I sat on the ground with my heart pounding loudly inside my chest with the thought that my life is in serious danger.

A wolf was about to attack me when someone shot him. My mouth opened wide seeing the person that came to rescue me was Romano. Our path has crossed again and I couldn't believe that he rescued me. He helped me to get up from the ground while he was checking me. It was as if he worried so much about me.

"Goodness, are you okay, Jasmine?" He asked me, it made my heart pound but I stopped myself from feeling that way. This is not right, I should fall for his trap again. Not this time.

"Look, I am fine, Romano. I don't need your concern." I said to him as I walked towards Kenneth. All the enemies had run away seeing Romano and Kenneth had transformed back to his human form. I ran towards him and didn't hesitate to hug him even though Romano was watching me.

"I am fine, Jasmine. How about you? Are you hurt?" Kenneth asked in his worried face. I nodded my head responding to him and let go of him afterwards.

"Let us go home." I said to him as I held his hand and started walking towards the car. We were about to surpass Romano but he grabbed my wrist and it stopped me.
