Romano

"Can you increase the speed!" I screamed at Ashton as he increased the speed of the car.

"We are close, Alpha Romano, don't worry because I know Miss Jasmine would be fine." Ashton assured me but I didn't even look at his direction because my gaze was focused on Jasmine. I was hoping that she would open her eyes.

I just hoped everything would be fine, we reached the mansion in a few minutes and my friends were already waiting at the main corridor. They approached me to help but I didn't allow them to touch my wife. I carried Jasmine to our room and the doctor was there waiting and preparing the things she will use to check her vitals sign.

"What happened to her?" Tim asked and I washed my face using my hands before responding.

"I don't know. The only thing I could remember is when she held head and then the next thing she lost consciousness." I replied and they nodded their heads.

"Everything would be fine, Alpha Romano. Don't worry about her, she will be fine. All her vital signs are perfect." The doctor said and I stared at her.

"How can you say that she is fine when she is still unconscious? Don't make fun of me doctor or I will strangle your neck." I yelled at her. I know I am rude but it seemed hard to believe her words. She is unconscious for goodness sake.

"Calm down, Romano. Screaming at her won't help." Harry said and I looked at him.

"Are you telling me to calm down? I am talking about my mate's condition here and if something happens to her, I would blame this on you, doctor!" I warned her and my tone frightened her.

"I am serious, Alpha Romano. Her vitals signs are perfect even though her breathing is normal as well but I need to check the reason she lost consciousness. Just trust me, she is fine and she will come through in a few minutes." The doctor assured me as she continued attending to her. I sat down on the couch and brushed my hair using my fingers in annoyance.

"I regretted taking her to the dungeon." I said as Tim and Harry sat down beside me on the couch.

"What? You took her to the dungeon?" Tim asked and I heaved a deep sigh before responding to him.

"You heard me. I don't like repeating myself." I replied and Tim gasped because of my responses.

"It is dangerous for her to be there. Anna, the psychopath was chained there." Harry said.

"She met her already. You know it is important that she visits the dungeon because I am going to mark her as my Luna and it is her right to visit every part of the Pack." I said and they heaved a sigh.

"We know that, Romano. Just have it at the back of your mind that Anna is a psychopath killer and you know she planned to kill Evelyn before. Don't ever let Jasmine near her again and don't ever let Anna escape the dungeon." Tim said and I just nodded my head.

Even if they don't remind me, I will still do my best to protect Jasmine at all cost. What happened in the past taught me a lesson and I won't ever leave Jasmine alone. I was about to say another word when Jasmine called my name and I moved closer to her and sat on the bed. I watched her slowly open her eyes and the joy I felt in my heart knew no bond.

Jasmine Pov

When I opened my eyes, I realized that I was in a room. An elegant room and it seemed to be familiar. I have no idea what happened to me and my head was still aching like there was something inside it that wanted to explode.

"Romano…." My husband's name is the first word that came out of my mouth and he came closer to me as I called his name.

"You are awake, Jasmine. Thank goodness!" He said as he held my hand and I turned my gaze at him.

"Where are you, Romano?" I asked and he grasped my hand and then looked me deep in the eyes. He kissed the back of my hand before responding to me.

"We are in the mansion, Jasmine." He replied and I heaved a sigh. I remembered everything that happened last time. We went to the dungeon and met different prisoners there. I also remember the scene between Romano and Anna, the psychopath killer.

"I am sorry, Romano." I apologized as I felt guilty because our tour got ruined because of me.

"No, Jasmine. You don't have to apologize. All that matters to me now is that you are safe." He said and I took a deep breath.

"I can't understand what really happened to me and why I felt unconscious. All I knew was that my head started spinning all of a sudden." I said and my hand placed his hand on top of mine, trying to tell me that everything would be fine. This was the second time I lost consciousness and I can't understand why all this is happening to me. I am not sick, I am sure of that.

"Even the doctor that checked you saw nothing wrong with you, Jasmine. You fell unconscious because of an unexplainable reason." Romano said and I sighed.

What about the dungeon? I feel sad that our tour was unsuccessful because of what happened." I said and he just smiled.

"Don't worry about that. I regretted taking You to the dungeon, Jasmine and don't think much about Anna. She is a crazy psychopath killer." He said to me and I nodded. The thought of Anna was the reason I felt unconscious and I don't know but something popped in my head that we have a past.

"I know, Romano but I can't stop myself from thinking about her." I said and he grabbed my hand again.

"I am always beside you, Jasmine and no one can hurt you, I promise you that." He assured me and I smiled.

"Please tell me a little about Anna, Romano. I am curious about what happened to her, I want to know the reason she killed her family." I said and he stared into my eyes before responding.

"Anna was Evelyn's best friend. They went to school together and I believe that they have another friend but I have no idea about her identity. She never showed up at Evelyn's funeral. Anna killed her family because they wanted to send her to the mental facility but she didn't want to go. She killed them in order to prevent herself from going to the hospital." He explained and I listened to his words as I tried to digest it.

My head started aching again and I massaged it with my hand. Every time I think so much, my head seems to explode in pain.

"It is enough, Romano. I don't want to listen anymore because my head is aching already." I said to him.

"Goodness, I am sorry, Jasmine. We shouldn't talk about her again, okay?" He said and I nodded my head responding to him.

"Where is the doctor, Romano?" I asked him as I wandered my eyes throughout the room but I couldn't find the doctor.

"Tim and Harry accompanied the doctor out of the room when they saw you awake. She is downstairs and I knew they might have dropped her off at her place." He replied and I nodded my head.

Romano laid beside me as he hugged me tightly. A sweet smile curled to my lips when I felt so comfortable in his embrace. His hug faded all the doubt in my head. He removed all the negativities out of my mind. Despite all the things that happened to us, I am still grateful that we are back to each other's arms now.

"Tell me about your first mate, Romano." I said and he looked at me with a confused expression.

"What do you want to know about her, Jasmine?" He asked and I smiled.

"I want to know how the two of you met and your love story." I replied and his reaction still shows that he was confused about my question. I know that he couldn't believe hearing those words from me but I really wanted to know.

"Evelyn? She is a daughter from another Pack. We met at one of the gatherings held at her Pack and I was invited. She was in danger and I rescued her as we felt the bond." He said and I smiled bitterly.

"She must be lucky to have you, Romano and you are more than lucky to have her. I know she is a kind-hearted woman." I said and he cupped my face using his two massive hands and stared deeply into my eyes.
