Jasmine

"Thank you so much. I guess we should talk more about it inside." He said and everyone nodded their heads except me.

"That is good because my Luna needed to rest." Romano said and then looked at me. I could see from his eyes that he is so worried about me. He carried me in a bridal style as we walked into the house of Alpha Jasper and I just allowed him to do that.

He put me down when we got to the house of Alpha Jasper and sat next to me while our companions occupied the empty seats that were there. My face flushed when I felt his hand gently massaging my back.

"We are leaving in a moment." Romano said to everyone.

"So, what is the plan?" Alpha Jasper asked him and turned his gaze towards him.

"We are preparing our Pack for the upcoming war." Romano replied and I looked at him. I was surprised to hear the word war. It has been ages since the last bloody war happened in the werewolves clean. Many died because of it, innocent human beings were also killed during the war.

"War?" I asked him and he just looked at me. He held my hand and stared deeply into my eyes before responding.

"Yes, there will be an upcoming war between werewolves, Jasmine and it is expected. So I want to prepare my Pack and my allies for that war." He replied and I just sighed. I know that the war can't be averted, it is a part of werewolf clean life. They need to fight and defend their Packs.

"We have to win this war and don't worry Alpha Romano and Alpha Blade because I will stand by you two." Alpha Jasper said and the two Alphas nodded their heads responding to him.

"We need to leave now, Nicho is coming and we need to reach our home before dark." Romano said as he stood up from the couch and others followed.

"Thank you for visiting us and if I have time, I will return the visit." Alpha Jasper and I were about to stand up from the couch but Romano stopped me.

"Don't move." He said and I looked at him with my curious reactions.

"I am still carrying you, Jasmine and it is an order from your Alpha." He added and my face flushed.

"Wow, you are ready for the best Alpha, Romano." His friends and others teased him and I could feel my heart pounding because of what they did. My face is already red as tomatoes.

"I can walk, Romano. Besides, I feel better now." I said and he glared at me because of what I just said. Seeing the reaction on his face, I know better that I should follow his order.

"Don't complain, Jasmine Philip. You are not allowed to move and that is final." He said and I just smiled, it is as if I have no other choice. His handsome face and his captivating smile could make me agree to him abruptly.

"That is my girl." He said and he carried me. I licked my lips to stop myself from blushing when I saw my friends teasing me secretly. We walked out of Alpha Jasper's house back to where we parked the cars. Romano put me down on the back seat of the car cautiously and then sat beside me.

"You smell so good, my darling." He said as he sniffed my neck and it made me blush.

"Shut up, Romano." Dennis and Ashton could hear you." I said but he wrapped his hand around my waist instead.

"I was captivated by your face, your lips, your eyes and even your kindness, Jasmine. You made me fall in love with you even more." Romano said and my heartbeat increased. Those compliments from the man I love made my day complete. It feels so good to hear those words from him and it was as if I was wanting to hear him say it again and again.

"Stop complimenting me, Romano." I said but instead he cupped my face and stared me deep in the eyes.

"Whatever happened, Jasmine. Always remember that I love you and I will never replace you with someone else. Don't overthink about the woman that claimed to be my dead mate's reincarnation. How would she become her reincarnation when she died just a few years back? I know she used my dead mate's face to make me believe and I will deal with her later." He said and his words got me thinking. He is right, how would she be Evelyn's reincarnation when she died just five years ago?

"I will only trust you, Romano. Whatever happened, I will always believe you." I said to him and he cupped my face and kissed me. I closed my eyes and wrapped my hand around his neck while responding to his addictive kiss. We don't care about Ashton and Dennis seeing us kissing inside the car.

"I love you so much, Jasmine. You are the best woman I have ever met and I never regret choosing you as my replacement mate. Falling in love with a woman like you is what I never regretted." He said to me and my heart almost melted out of happiness.

He took my lips again and kissed me passionately. He rested my head on his shoulder afterwards as he kissed my forehead and I smiled. I fell asleep in just a few minutes and when I opened my eyes, I noticed I was already inside my room. I got up from the bed and searched for Romano all over the room. We were still in Alpha Blade's Pack and we have three more days to spend there. I have no idea the place we will be visiting tomorrow. I washed my face before stepping out of the room and also brushed my teeth. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and I couldn't stop myself from smiling. I am in love and my eyes tell me that I am really in love with Romano. My eyes seemed sparkling as I saw its reflection on the mirror. I took a deep breath before stepping out of the bathroom.

"Can we talk?" Someone grabbed my hand as soon as I stepped out of the bathroom and my mouth opened widely when I realized that it was Alpha Blade's sister Jenna that grabbed me.

"Do you want anything from me?" I asked her and she looked at me with her fierce eyes.

"I can't believe that Romano has a mate. All this while, I am fantasizing about a man who is already taken." Jenna said and I raised my eyebrows at her.

"Are you interested in my husband?" I asked her and she grinned. My blood boils again because of the thought that there are so many women that are fantasizing about my man.

"And so? Do you have a problem with that? I don't care if you are his mate, I am certain that the two of you will break up soon." She said and my eyebrows furrowed. Everywhere we go, women who are obsessed with my man won't allow us to leave in peace. Goodness, it is as if I wanted to pull their tongues out and make me realize that Romano is my husband.

"Stay away from my husband, Jenna." I said and she just burst out laughing.

"Who the hell are you to motion me to leave Romano alone? You are just his replacement mate and as long as Romano is not ordering me to stay away from him, then I won't leave me alone. Do you get that?" She said and my fist clenched because of her words. I turned my back to her and was about to walk away from her when she pulled my hair. I groaned in pain because of what she did.

"You don't have the right to turn your back at me when I am still speaking to you." She said and didn't let go of my hair. I was trying my best to free her hands but she is not letting me have the chance.

"What is your problem, Jenna? I didn't do anything wrong to you!" I screamed but she didn't let go of me.

"I want you dead, Jasmine." She said and then pushed me. I fell on the ground and grinned in pain, my jaws clenched because of her actions.

"Don't make my blood boil in anger, Jenna!" I warned her but she didn't listen. She was about to grab my hair again when I held her hand. My eyes were already darkened in anger as I couldn't control my emotions anymore because of her. She was really getting on my nerves. I slapped her hard on the face as she placed her hand on her cheeks. My heart was already filled with anger at the moment.
