Chapter 105

Jasmine

"Whatever happened, Jasmine. I will always come on time to save you." He said, I bit my lips to calm my nerves.

"You know what, Romano. You shouldn't have saved me because I can protect myself. I don't need help, especially from a demon like you." I said to him, I sounded rude but I don't care.

"I understand why you are mad at me, Jasmine. But I just wanted to tell you that even if you push me away from you several times, I will never give up on you." Romano said, it made Kenneth face and I was still standing backing them.

"Stop it, Romano. Don't you understand what my wife said to you? She doesn't love you anymore and there is no way for you to take Jasmine away from me because we have a son now. Can't you fucking understand that?" Kenneth said to him. I clenched my, I wanted to stop him from saying those words to Romano but why would I stop him?

Even though it wasn't true, we should lie to him so that he will stop disrupting my life. I don't feel good lying to him but this is the only way for him to leave us alone.

"I don't believe you Kenneth. I know Jasmine very well and she will never do that. She still loves me and I can feel that the bond we have as mates was still there. I can also feel within me that she still loves me. I would like to remind you, Kenneth, that whatever you want to do, you can never stop me from getting closer to my wife." Romano responded to Kenneth, I was still standing clenching my fist. I don't know what to say at this point, my head is already aching because of Romano and the only way now is to walk away from him which I did.

I entered the car without uttering any word at them. Kenneth followed me after and we drove off immediately.

Three days have passed since I discovered the death of my real parents. I am still devastated about the truth but then I can't do anything about it.

We have an appointment today, Kenneth and I will be attending a business party. I became his business partner, he taught me how to manage his company. At first, I tried to decline his offer but then he convinced me and in the end I had no choice but to accept it.

"Mother." A sweet smile curved into my lips when I heard my son's voice. I picked him up and started kissing his face. Each time I kiss my son's voice, it seems like I was kissing Romano.

"Do you want something from me?" I asked him and he just rubbed my face like he was playing with it.

"Be careful….and father." My mouth agape from what my son just said. I don't know which of his fathers he was referring to but I smiled at him.

"Yes, my prince. Mummy needs to go now, okay? Please be good towards your mother's friends." Clinton nodded his head responding to me. I carried him downstairs, Kenneth and my friends were waiting for me. I placed him down as I watched him run towards his toys.

"Enjoy your night!" My friends screamed and it made my face flushed. I just waved my hand at them as Kenneth and I walked out of the house. He helped me get into the car, I couldn't stop smiling because of what he did. Kenneth is really a gentleman.

"Thank you, Kenneth." I said to him as soon as he entered the car. He started the engine as we drove off.

"You look so stunning tonight, Jasmine." My face flushed hearing those words from him but then I realized that the way he compliments me is way too far from how Romano did. My heart always reacted every time Romano complimented me and it couldn't be compared to anyone else, even Kenneth. He is one of my closest friends and I treat him as just a friend.

"Thank you, Kenneth. Come on, we should keep going." I said to him and he chuckled. He focused his attention back on the road and I couldn't understand why I felt nervous.

We arrived at the venue in just about fifteen minutes. My heart pounded so fast inside my chest seeing so many guests.

"Just wait for me at the table, Jasmine and don't allow any man to come near you. If you notice someone strange, dial my number. I just need to speak with another businessman." Kenneth said to me, I nodded my head at him.

We were already inside the party, he led me to an empty table and walked away. My gaze was on the guests and then my eyes caught someone. Well, who would think that our path will cross again here. Juliet is here with Romano and my blood boiled in anger seeing their faces. The faces of the ones that cheated on me. A grin formed on my lips when I noticed how Romano grasped my sister's wrist. He left her, I shook my head because of that.

"Poor, Juliet." I murmured to myself as I started walking towards her.

"How are you, my dear sister?" I asked her, she turned her head at me and she was gritting her teeth at me.

"Are you trying to annoy me, Jasmine? What are you doing here?" She asked, I shook my head at her question.

"I am also invited, sister. Before I forget, can we talk?" I asked her as I remembered about our past. There are so many things which I wanted to ask her. I wanted her to tell me what exactly happened to us in the past and also I wanted to ask her the reason why she hides the truth from me.

"I don't like talking to you, Jasmine because I know the reason why you wanted to talk to me. You wanted to convince me to leave Romano, my answer is no. Romano is mine and he doesn't love you anymore. I will be his next Luna, put that in your little head, Jasmine. Stop chasing him." My fist clenched when she said that to me.

"How dare you!" I yelled at her as I slapped her hard on her face.

"What the hell!" She said to me.

"Do you want to know the theme of that slap?" I asked her in my grinning face.

"It is called Luna's slap." I added.

"I will kill you, Jasmine." She said and was about to attack me when someone spoke behind us.

"Touch her, Juliet and I will kill you instantly." Romano said, which made my heart pound rapidly inside my chest.

"You are defending this woman instead of me, Romano? You still love, right?" She asked him.

Romano held my hand and I was trying to free myself from his grip but he was holding my tightly.

"Why do you care, Juliet? You are not even my wife. Jasmine is my wife and my only Luna." Romano replied to her, I noticed the reaction on my sister's face. She felt so devastated and the reaction on her face couldn't be explained. She is mad and I could feel that.

"You will regret it, Romano. I swear, the two of you will regret it. This is not the end yet, I will be seeing the two of you again soon." She said as she walked away from us. I removed my hand from his grip as soon as my sister left.

"You don't need to defend me from my sister, Romano Kelvin." I said to him, he stared at me and then let out a deep breath before speaking.

"I promise you, Jasmine, that I will always protect you." He said to me and was about to hold my hand but u stopped him.

"Don't touch me!" I yelled at him as I walked away from him.

My fist was clenched in rage. I am so mad at Juliet and Romano. Whenever I saw the two of them, my blood boiled in anger.

"Jasmine." Romano grabbed my hand, I turned around to face him. He still followed me out of the party.

"Please leave me alone, Romano. Can you stop following me?" I said to him as I was trying to remove his grip on me but he is allowing me.

"I won't leave you alone, Jasmine. It is dangerous for you to wander all alone in this place." I shook my head because of what he said.

"It will be more dangerous when you are around me, Romano. Please leave me alone and stop pestering me. My life is now peaceful without you." I said to him and it made him release me.

"Is it true that you had a son with Kenneth? He asked me, I swallowed hard my saliva in nervousness.

"You heard what Kenneth told you, right? So stop asking me because he is Kenneth's son." I responded as I turned my back at him.

"Then show the child to me, Jasmine. I want to see him so that I will know if he is really Kenneth's son." My heart pounded inside my chest because of what he just said.
