"Will you promise me that whatever might happen, you will still love me?" I asked and he cupped my face with his hands.

"Of course, I promise you that, Jasmine. I Romano Kelvin pledge to love you, Jasmine Philip till our old age." He responded and I chuckled.

"Wolves don't get old." I said and his face became serious.

"Then I am willing to make you a wolf and we will live in this world forever. Death can't be able to separate even if I needed to cross hell just to get you, I am willing to do that Jasmine. He said and my heart was filled with so much happiness. I am happy that he is willing to do anything just for my happiness.

"I love you, Romano Kelvin, my ruthless and lethal Alpha." I said and his face became serious once again.

"I am ruthless and lethal when they touch my precious mate." He said as he kissed my forehead.

"Let us sleep now, it is midnight and we have so many things to do tomorrow." I said to him and he chuckled.

"Yes, my Lady." He replied and I shook my head at home and closed my eyes. We were both naked when we fell asleep.

The next morning, I woke up late and noticed that my husband was not by my side. I wandered my eyes throughout the room and I couldn't find him. I went to the bathroom to take a bath as I thought that he might be downstairs. It took me about fifteen minutes before I could finish with my bath and walked to the closet to change my clothes. I was about to step out of the room when I saw a paper near the bed and a smile made its way to my lips. I picked the note and read it, it came from my husband and he said that he was in the kitchen, preparing our breakfast. I kept the note on the drawer and went straight to the kitchen. I was still on the stairs when I could smell the aromatic food that my husband was cooking for me. This is the first time he is cooking for me. I went to the kitchen and saw him cooking and he is topless. He is wearing only his pants. His broad back makes me lick my lips and I noticed a bruise from the nails of a woman on his back and I knew it came from me.

"Good morning, sleepyhead. Come over here and taste the food I made for my Luna." He said to me and I smiled. He already noticed me without turning his back, well I forget that he is a wolf.

"What are you cooking, Romano?" I asked as I walked closer to him. I was about to pick a spoon but he held my hand and I looked at him curiously.

"I didn't ask you to eat the food yet." He said and I was about to say something when he carried me and put me on top of the kitchen table. My face flushed because of what he did.

"It is still early, Romano and this place is not conducive for you to flirt with me." I said and he just smirked.

"I don't care, Jasmine. This is my house and my rules follow. They don't care if I flirt with you whenever and however I want." He replied and I nodded my head.

"I am just scared that your friends might see us here, Romano." I said but he was still smirking at me. It is as if he didn't care if they saw us doing something here in the kitchen.

"Don't mind those idiots." He responded and was about to kiss me when someone spoke behind us.

"She is awake now, Alpha Romano." Ashton said and it made my heart pound inside my chest.

I could explain the way I felt when Ashton said those words. Eve is now awake. I looked at my husband and I was surprised by what I saw in his eyes. It seems like he is happy to hear that she is awake. My heart shattered into pieces seeing his reaction. I know this is wrong but I can't stop myself from thinking that he is excited about the news.

Is that so? I will come to see her." He responded and I sighed.

"Yes, Alpha Romano because she is asking for you. She is calling your name and she won't stop crying." Ashton said and my mouth opened widely. I can't believe that Eve is acting like that.

"Okay, I am coming." He replied as he walked away from the kitchen, forgetting that I was with him. I signed deeply as I jumped down from the table and followed him to her room.

He pushed the door open without noticing that I was behind me. My eyes widened when she hugged him the moment he walked closer to her. My fist clenched because of that.

"I am scared, Romano. They wanted to kill me." She said in-between her sob. I was frozen at the spot and couldn't be able to move.

"Everything will be fine, Eve. Don't worry because I am here with you and I will never leave you." Romano reassured her.

"Please don't leave me, I am confused. A lot of memories keep popping through my head, it is as if the tremendous death of your first mate, banging on my head." She said to him and my mouth opened wide.

Why is this woman telling him this? Is she pretending to be his dead mate's reincarnation again? What is her plan? I know she is only pretending, she is trying to get my husband's attention. I know she is not her reincarnation but what if she is? What will happen to me if she proves to him that she is really his dead mate's reincarnation? Will he choose her? I don't like the thoughts that are running through my mind at the moment. I am scared that Romano would choose her over me.

"What do you mean, Eve?" Romano asked her in his confused reaction.

"I can't explain but as I have said to you before, I am your dead mate's reincarnation. I am not forcing you to believe me but I am willing to prove myself to you that I am telling the truth." She said to him and her words scared me to death.

"Let us not talk about it, Eve. You should rest because you haven't recovered fully yet. Your wounds are still bleeding and I will also like to thank you for saving my life." Romano said and she smiled. She caresses my husband's face and it looks like I don't exist. I knew she had seen me and yet she was pretending not to see me.

"It is not a big deal, Romano, because if that happens again, I am ever willing to save your life." She responded to him as she grabbed his body and hugged him. My heart was crushing at the scene in front of me, my husband's attention was focused on this imposter and I am scared that one day Romano will wake up looking for her. I have seen his dead mate's picture from the one Romano showed me. This Eve girl looked exactly like her, she really copied her face perfectly.

"I do appreciate your kindness and I owe you my life." Romano replied as he rubbed her back.

"Can you stay with me all day, please. I need you by my side." She begged him and Romano grit his teeth. She is really grabbing every opportunity and I don't know what would be my husband's reaction. I just remembered how he reacted when she claimed to be Evelyn's reincarnation. He was mad at her and I wonder if he was still mad at her up till now.

"Fine, I will stay here with you so that you can recover fast. To pay you from saving my life, I will take good care of you until you recover." Romano replied and she smiled widely. My fist clenched hearing those words from my husband.

"What about me, Romano?" I asked and it let go of her immediately.

"Jasmine?" He asked as he didn't notice my presence all this while. He seemed shocked to see me.

"Yes, I followed you down here. You haven't answered my question, what about me, Romano?" I asked him again and he sighed. He came closer and pulled me out of the room.

"Listen to me, Jasmine. You don't have to be scared, okay? I am doing this because she saved my life." He said and I faked a smile.

"You can't stop me from feeling insecure about her, Romano. We don't know her intentions and she is also using your dead mate." I said and he held both my hands as he stared deeply into my eyes.

"I know and I don't believe her. I am doing this because I needed to repay her for saving my life. Don't worry, because once she recovers, I will force her to leave our home." He said and I felt a little bit guilty.
