"I am sorry, Romano if I acted this way. I just can't stop myself from being scared about that woman. What if she has an evil plan to separate us? What if she uses your dead mate's face to take you away from me? I don't know what will happen to me if she succeeds." I said and he cupped my face as he kissed me to calm my nerves.

"Don't worry, Jasmine. Just trust your husband okay? Everything will be fine and whatever her plans might be for us, I will discover it as soon as possible." He said and I felt relieved. I needed to trust him. He will not be fooled that easily and I shouldn't feel scared because he will do everything he can not to fall from that woman's trap.

"Don't believe her, Romano. The dead will never come back and I am certain that Evelyn is living peacefully in the hands of the moon goddess." I said and he smiled.

"I know, my love. Don't get jealous, okay? I am treating her like that because I had to. It is also my way to know what her plans are. I am only loyal to you and I will never replace you with anyone else." He reassured me and it made me feel at ease. At least now, he assured me that he will never believe that woman's words.

"I am not jealous, Romano. I am doing this because I don't want you to be fooled by that woman." I said and he chuckled, my face flushed.

"My Luna is so cute. Go back to the kitchen and wait for me." He said as he kissed my forehead and went back to Eve's room. I heaved a deep breath before walking back to the kitchen. I was still in the corridor when I saw my friends and Romano's friends. They looked at me with their worried faces and it made me sighed.

"We heard that she is awake now?" Ciara asked and I signed deeply before responding.

"Yes, she is." I replied and they all just nodded their heads. I talked to them a little while and invited them to join us for breakfast. I was about to take a step towards the kitchen when I felt wrapped around my waist and it made me smile. Romano wrapped his hand around my waist and my heart pounded inside my chest. I can't believe that he left Eve in her room.

"I thought you would stay with her for an hour." I said and he spun me around to face him.

"No, I can't stay long there knowing that my Luna is waiting for me." He responded and his words almost melted my heart.

"You miss me, don't you?" I asked and he smirked.

"I miss you every second." He replied and my face flushed. He was about to kiss when we heard a voice behind us. It made my heart pound very fast inside my chest.

"This is a public place for the two of you to kiss." My mouth opened widely as I recognised the voice.

"Kenneth.. " Romano murmured and turned my attention to where the voice came from. My eyes widened seeing Kenneth in front of us.

"Yes, it is me, Alpha Romano." He said with a smile on his face.

"You are back, Kenneth." Romano said in a happy tone. It has been a long time since they saw each other. A lot of things have already happened and I couldn't believe that he is back now.

"Yes, my vacation ended already and now I am back to the place where I left my friends." He said and Romano walked towards me as they hugged each other.

"I miss you dude." Romano said and it made him chuckle. Kenneth looked at me and I bit my lips when he winked at me. He has changed a lot, he is not the same Kenneth we knew. I remembered what happened before he went away when he admitted his feelings for me and even up till now I still feel guilty about it.

"Where are the rest?" He asked as they released from each other's embrace.

"They are having dinner." Romano replied as he came closer to me and wrapped his hand around my waist and Kenneth smiled.

"How are you, Jasmine? I hope he didn't hurt you?" He asked and I bit my lips.

"No, I didn't hurt her. I love Jasmine and I will never hurt her." Romano replied.

"That is good because if I heard that you hurt her, I don't know what I might do to you, Romano." He said in his serious face and it made me bend my head. He is back to being my friend again and he is a protective man.

"It will never happen. You can meet the others at dinner." Romano said and he nodded responding to him and started walking towards the dinner.

"Kenneth is back, Romano." I said and he just nodded. It is as if his face became serious at the thought of seeing his friend again.

"I will be more careful now. I won't allow you to be close to that jerk." He said and I shook my head.

"Don't be rude, Romano. He had already moved on." I responded and he held onto me as he stared deeply into my eyes.

"Of course, I know and I trusted my friends. They will never take you away from me and they will never ruin our union. So I am more comfortable that he didn't return just to take you away from me." He said and I felt relieved by his words.

"Alpha Romano?" Dennis called and I turned my attention towards him.

"Is there any problem?" Romano asked and I was waiting for him to respond.

"Her food is now ready." He responded and it made me furrow my brows.

"Okay, I will deliver it to her room." He said to him and Dennis left afterwards.

"Allow me to deliver her food by myself, Romano. I also wanted to thank her for saving your life." I said and he looked at me, disbelievingly.

"Are you sure about it?" He asked just to make sure that I wasn't joking.

"I am serious, don't worry about it and you can talk to Kenneth for the meantime. Trust me, everything will be fine." I replied and he nodded his head as we made our way to the dinner and I left them to deliver the food to Eve. I also wanted to talk to her alone without Romano being present.

My heart pounded inside my chest when I was in front of her room door. I took a deep breath before opening the door, she was still laying on the bed and her brows furrowed when she saw me instead of Romano.

"Where is Alpha Romano?" She asked and I just put down the tray of food before responding to him.

"I brought the food myself to you because I wanted to speak with you, Eve." I said and it made her raise her eyebrows.

"I wanted Romano, Jasmine." She said and it made me shake my head.

"What do you mean, Eve?" I asked her in my curiosity.

"Can't you understand what I said to Romano before, I am his dead mate's reincarnation and I have a lot of things to tell me." She replied and my fist clenched.

"Are you really telling the truth, Eve? What is your plan?" I asked her and it made her grit her teeth at me.

"I have no plans to ruin your marriage. I am here because Romano needed to know that his dead mate's still live within me. She is communicating with me." She said and I shook my head.

"She is already dead, Eve and I am certain that she is living in peace in the hands of the moon goddess. How come she reincarnated in your body?" I asked.

"I have no time to explain my side to you, Jasmine. Romano is whom I want and you can leave now." She said and I shook my head for the second time.

"Thank you for saving my husband's life." Those were the last words I said to her before walking out of the room.

"Jasmine." I stopped when I heard Kenneth's voice and my heart pounded inside my chest.

"Kenneth, do you need anything?" I asked but to my surprise, he hugged me. I didn't expect that.

"I miss you, Jasmine. Don't worry because the hug I gave you was just a friendly hug." He said and it made me chuckle.

"It is fine, Kenneth and you can let go of me now or else, Romano will see us." I said and he released me from his embrace and I smiled.

"How is your relationship with him? Is he hurting you? You can tell me about it, Jasmine." He said and it made me smile. He still cares about me, I remembered the last word he said before he left.

"Don't worry, Kenneth because Romano is a changed man now. He takes good care of me and he truly loves me now." I replied and he smiled.

"It is good to hear that because if I ever find out that he is still hurting you, I will take you away from him." He said and I bit my lips.
