Chapter 103

When Gunner and Slasher are ready to go and have already gathered items that they believe they will need they took their way out. Gunner already notices that slow changing of physical appearance of his twin and he was somewhat happy for him because finally he had gotten himself back to his normal shape.

Before they grip the doorknob Gunner makes sure that no one was outside.

'Let's go," he uttered under his breath not bothering to look at Slasher anymore because he knew he will be following him and thinking that he could already stand by himself their goal is getting easier slightly for them.

As they take their walk they took their fast pace and Gunner was leading the way for them. They will be heading down there where he had found the secret way out and they will be using the secret passage that Ross had introduced to him. He couldn't help but to be still thankful of how that passage is giving them such a help and even though Slasher had been already exposed to that way out he was unconscious that time.

"I don't feel any exhaustion right now," he said, which made Gunner nod his head because that was exactly what Ross had been feeling after drinking that serum, and it was because he was already in his animal form and his body was used to the strength of what his body had consumed.

They took a left route and was keep on running in their fast pace and as soon as Gunner could already see the corner of where their direction is.

'We are already there," he said as he was trying to catch his breath while Slasher was just calm in his poise of running.

'Are you okay?" Slasher couldn't help but to ask him and worriedness was evident in the tone of his voice.

Gunner nodded and gestured him that there is nothing to worry about and they should be focusing on their plan.

As soon as they get into the place they began their crawling and the both of them could already feel the different drop of temperature. It was warm up there and it gets colder and colder.

There was fog coming out of their breath now and Gunner hated that but he couldn't do anything about it.

As they landed their feet to the ground the floor was chilly in coldness. Gunner gestured him immediately to take their hide through the dark corner. From where Gunner had found the secret way out it was from left corner of the wall so they need to get in there. They were about to walk when something caught Gunner's eye and it was from the top of the ceiling and when he looked at it he was discouraged because it was indeed totally dark from up there but when you are in there it is not because you can totally see what was going from down.

Gunner was sure he had seen something from his peripheral vision it was something shiny and he was sure of that. There is someone out there and whoever it is he wish that it was not an enemy and he wishes that is it not Dr. Vega.

'What's wrong?" Slasher asked as he too look from the direction he was looking at.

'Did you see that?" he asked which makes Slasher curious of what he was talking about because he couldn't even see anything from the dark.

'What? What did you see?" he continue to ask because at the same time he was getting already worried because there maybe danger now lurking at them.

'There is someone out there," he said and takes his walk again and that makes the plan changed. There was something telling him that they needed to go up there.

'Change of plans, Slash," he said as they stop to their tracks from the corner of the wall which no one could ever see them.

Slasher looked at him with curious in his eyes and Gunner feels that he wanted to rain him with questions.

'Something is telling me to get up there. Just trust me," he said and Slasher sighs as he took a deep breath and massages his temples because he couldn't believe that from a sudden moment their plan will change.

'We are almost there . . . we will be free from now," he said and there was sadness in his eyes and Gunner knows his determination of wanting to escape right there right now.

'Trust me," Gunner said as he grab his hand and hold it firmly and squeezes it gently.

Slasher sigh again and nodded his head as he roamed his eyes in the area and from what he sees they aren't any ladder of anything that they could help them to go up there.

Sensing that from Slasher, Gunner took something out form the pocket of his jacket and it was two small bottles and the inside looks like a white paste. Gunner had it with him unknowingly and he believes it was come from Ross whom he secretly put it to his pocket. And when he took a check it out he believes that it came from his skin the sticky slimy stuff which was gross but as he touch it using the tip of his finger it was sticky enough that he had stick it to the wall and it take long time to get his tip back.

'This would help us just put a small amount of this in your palms and also to the palms of your feet. This would stick us to the wall as we climb it through there," he said as he pointed out the direction of where they are going to.



He had a strong feeling why Ross had given it to him and maybe this is already the answer for them to use it and maybe there will be an answer of his disappearance out there.

'Something's telling me that there is something out there that we need to see," Slasher said as he put a small of amount of slimy thing in his hands and into his feet. Gunner wanted to laugh at him because he didn't even bother to ask what those are made of or where the hell did he gets it because he was always a hygienic guy but right now maybe all of those had change since he had got here.

Slasher opened his mouth as he handed him back the bottle and he immediately put it back to his pocket and he already knows what will come out through his mouth now.

'Where did that come from? Did you steal that too?" he asked and Gunner finally decided to tell him the truth because he knows he will not stop bothering him until he gets the answer.

'Nope, I just found it here in the pocket of my jacket and I believe it came from Ross without me knowing it which makes me feel that there is a reason why he had given me this and thinking that it was two bottles. And oh if you are going to ask what are these is from what I speculate this is from his skin . . . the slimy thing, he said and he saw Slasher's eyes widened and he can feel that he was already tingling all over his body.

Slasher wanted to scream from the tingling sensation that he is now feeling he was feeling engrossed of imagining that it came from Ross body. Yes, he knew it would totally help them but Gunner didn't tell it to him sooner which makes him feel of wanting to punch him through his face because he knew he was already laughing at him internally he just doesn't want to show it. He knew Gunner and he loves teasing him especially all over his hygienic beliefs.

Gunner looked at him with a mocking look and nodded his head to keep going.

'You're dead when we get out of here," he said which makes Gunner let out a small laugh from his lips and as long as he wanted to continue his tease on him they don't have much time and maybe it might get them into trouble if they didn't get into action right now.



They pressed their hands through the wall and began climbing, and Gunner couldn't help but be impressed by what he was seeing because they were climbing through the wall with only their bare hands. Gunner resembled Slasher, who seemed to have an easy time climbing and was also amazed. He believes Ross added another formula to it before giving it to him in order to extend the stickiness.

As they climbed to the wall Slasher couldn't help but to look down and he was getting dizzy out of it because he had fear in the heights and Gunner knew that which makes him gets into his quick action of distracting him. They are not yet in their halfway of getting to where their direction is and if Slasher will continue to scare himself they will be really in great danger thinking that how far they are now from the ground.

'Slash, don't look down or you'll get us both killed just focus," he says which makes him wanted to punch himself because it was far too different what he say he will distract him but right now it might had just frightened him more.

'Look here we are almost there and before I forgot I have been meaning to ask you this," he continues to say and wanting to get his full attention to him and trying to distract him even though there is no question that he had meaning to ask him from the first place but he will just make it up right now.

'What is that?" he asked meaning it had worked out and as they keep on moving Gunner had started to rain him some questions.

'What are you going to do first when we gets out of here?" he asked which makes Slasher think of it for himself and he already knows what to do once they get out of the sick building.

'For our lives to be back to normal we should get out of this country whatever it takes and start our life again from scratch but that would be okay as long as we always have each other's back, right?" he answered which makes Gunner smiled from his response and thinking that they have the same perspective once they got out.

'Same thought," he said which makes Slasher smile from his response.

'In know you are trying to distract me which is working Gunner. But there is one thing that I didn't tell you yet and that is how proud I am to you and you have change a lot since the last I saw you were just so klutz and careless of things and don't know how to plan," he said which makes Gunner's face turns to sour.

'Wow what a compliment, Slash, I really appreciate it," he said which makes Slasher let out a small laugh and they were already near from where they are heading too.

'But right now you really have changed right now. You are very careful of your actions, you planned very well and you are now independent and you trusted your instincts which really are nice because from I recall you always ignore your guts and just go on with what you think was right. But right now you really changed a lot which now makes you a man," he said and before they could think about it they were already at the top.

They carefully put themselves from walking the tunnels and they could really see what was going on down there.

'Okay, let's get to business," he said as they took their walk carefully not to be trip and of course not to fall down.



From what Gunner had seen down there he saw the shining thing from that corner and that is where they are heading into and they choose the tunnel which is mostly safe from waling where they could balance themselves from touching the wall as they walk. Gunner was leading the way and Slasher couldn't help but to feel anything that there is something strange is going on or maybe it was just his feeling because they are really in the heights.



'What's wrong?" Gunner asked sensing him and Slasher wasn't surprised at all because they are twins.

'Nothing maybe it was just my feeling being this kind of height," he said and Gunner was not contented of his answer but right now they needed to focus on what they are doing.



They are already halfway of it where Gunner had seen the light when there was a forming shadow of a person standing just in front of them which makes them both stops from their tracks and Gunner had a strong feeling that it wasn't Dr. Vega. They were two of them.

Slasher took a deep breath and before he could open his mouth the two persons in front of them show themselves.

Gunner was surprised when he looked at them and from what he knows and as he took a look at it was somehow familiar. The man looks like the President of the United States while the other one looks like he had already seen it from his past but that was impossible but looking at his posture he looks like he had already seen him from the magazines, news or tabloids.

Even the persons in from of them were surprised upon seeing them which makes them both felt the same.



'Gunner? Slasher?" he called their names which even makes them curious of how they have known their names.
