Chapter 83
As soon as Ross gets out of their room he couldn't stop but to feel anxious of what will happen to them. He knows he shouldn't be thinking negative thoughts but seeing their miserable situation he just couldn't help it. Nevertheless he will do everything for them to escape.
He was running yet saving an enough energy because he will surely needs it when gets down there. Just as he was running he learned that his hands were not hairy anymore and not slimy as it was before. He smiled as he keeps looking at his hands there were no long nails now and he was totally back into his normal shape he had drunk the last bottle earlier because it was needed to.
'Wow," he said still couldn't believe that it was happening to him because as far as he remember he was determined to stay with Dr. Vega but his whole life with him was all a lie and maybe he was the reason why he had seen himself being in his side.
He took a left route and run as fast as he could as he know that he was already near to where his secret gateway.
He look from his back to see if that priest was following him he doesn't know the reason why he had thought about that but he just feels it.
As soon as he gets to his destination he quickly crawled his way in down there without any difficulties. He was way too focused in his mission and he just hopes that the priest were telling him the truth because if not he will surely make him dead meat. As he was crawling down he couldn't help but to think what the priest had felt when he had already seen the outside. Would he also felt that way? Would he also turn his back and had to think about it? But he was sure he will not turn his back because he doesn't care what is waiting for him at the outside. He doesn't care what people will think about him because all he cares about now is to be able to survive. It is not that he will expect the twins to take care of him it is just that he doesn't want to be a burden for the both of them and will not be dependent to them all the time. When he will get outside he will pursue his studies until he graduates and he will find his dream job. He doesn't have enough money for him to be studying but everything has its own ways and that is for him to find for a part time job while he is studying.
Ross jumped as soon as he arrived at his destination and ran to the dark corners where no one could see him, especially Dr. Vega. He still has the ability to camouflage himself in the wall, but he knows he only has a limited amount of time to use it before reverting to his normal shape.
He was catching his breath as he was walking carefully as he touches every side of the wall searching for the secret passage. He was indeed getting back into his weak normal self. Yes, he was a weak young man way back to his old days.
'Where is it?" he whispered out of the thin air as he keeps on looking and touching the wall.
He had a strong feeling that he was getting near to where the secret passage is he just have to be patient but even though he is patient the time won't adjust for him. So he had to be as quick as possible. What he remembered from the priest that had told him about it the exit was just in the wall also in camouflage shape.
The wall was smooth and there were no traces of edges that would get his attention that it was a button or a door way to the exit. But as far as he knows where his place is was in the bottom of the building so it was in the underground so how come the priest has seen the exit?
Ross knows that the building is weird and just changing its own appearance but he knows that this building is a machine which Dr. Vega had made. Ross couldn't help but to admire the intelligence of Dr. Vega because he had do things so much in impossible to possible things. He can do anything but he choose to be in this path but if he just use it in the good way he was sure he would be the most famous and wealthiest scientist in whole wide world.
He was brushing his hand in the wall when something caught his hand. It was bulging out yet it was just small but he feels like it was a button. The wall was smooth but this one was different. And as soon as he look at it with his eyes it was indeed like a camouflage into the wall but if you will just passed by into it you will not see it bulging out but if you are going to touch it you will notice it immediately.
'What is this?" he asked and pushes it hardly because it was just like a rock but he was sure there was something odd in that thing.
And then he was right a noise came along as something move by in the wall. The height of the wall was just below his waist which explains why no one would ever notice something like it.
It opens slowly which Ross makes him a little bit of irritated because of the time consuming but what could he say he just have to be more thankful because he had finally find the way out but before that he got to get make it sure that it was indeed the exit.
The priest isn't fooling around because it was indeed the exit but Ross stops from his tracks of what he had witnessed.
