Chapter 34

It was late Sunday evening, and the White House lights were still on. Securities and highly recommended agents are protecting, and US citizens are gradually evacuating to a safer area, making it easy for the President to take all of these actions. The people of the United States trusted him, and he promised not to let them down.

The President called up all of his cabinet members to a private meeting, and they were all conscious of the fact of what they were going to discuss. Their families are all totally secure, just like the others, but none of them are certain because their enemies are still waiting to pounce around, willing to attack. They are all aware that they are on the verge of death, but as long as they are breathing and can fight for an unknown object that they have no hope of winning, they have at least attempted to fight for their loved ones. They will not accept death unless they fight for their lives.

The room fell silent, and they could almost hear their own breathing and the race of their heartbeat. In short, they were utterly terrified, but who would stand up for them? Nothing except own selves.

"Mr. President," said a low voice that drew everyone's attention; it was the Vice President.

The President looks at her with sympathy in his eyes that only the Vice President can read; she already understands what he is attempting to convey.

"Th-this thing... are we willing to have our soldiers injured, or should I say sacrificed, just for our sake? What about their families? Their families, just like ours, and-" she was cut off by a loud slam that drew everyone's attention. The atmosphere abruptly shifts.

It was the Attorney General. His veins in his brow are visible, and his hands have formed a fist that has been placed at the top of the wooden long table.

"For fuck sake, Madam Vice President! Do you hear yourself right now? What are you talking about? If we don't use the soldiers, who will be on the leading edge? Us? You are the Vice President of the United States, but you are like a talking numbskull how absolutely disgusting! Of course they are trained to be the secret weapon and they people who dedicate their lives to us! Their families will be safe and we absolutely guarantee them that."

She looked at the cabinets, and none of them could look her in the eyes.

"I didn't call a meeting for us to fight and say nasty things to each other. We are here to live and to fight for our own lives, for the citizens of the United States and for our families. I hope we are clear with that General Attorney," the President uttered and his lips were thin holding his anger. He understands everyone and they all have their rights to act that way but he won't tolerate it because the more they waste their time arguing the more their enemies would have the time make another plans and consider that their enemies are already ahead of them.

A minute of silence again filled the room until the President assured that all of them collected themselves and ready to hear what is he going to say.

"The WIC Company I am sure you have heard of it may it be in televison or have seen it on magazines and newspapers. That company is in Japan and we haven't from what I know, we haven't heard of anything meticulous is happenin in that place except for tha young men who mysteriously gone missing but all of them have their cases closed but no bodies are found. Some cases were put into trash. Their government doesn't even give a damn. Are you all aware of this?" he stated yet they were all in silence.

"We are all aware of it Mr. President we have told you about this a thousand times but as to what you have said it is not our business to dicuss with it because its Japan," the Vice President stated which makes the President looked at her in shocked but collected himself right away.

And that caught him he had remembered everything. He is starting to absorb all of the Vice President's statement, she was right. He can't count how many times did she talked about what is happening to Japan and about their shared market whom they invested there to make a high profit for their economy. Japan is the most advance when it comes to technologies and weapons and that is what they have invested.

He was a fool back then not listening to her complain yet now it was all coming back to him like a boomerang. Then he had to swallow all of his lump pride and face all of the consequences.

"What shall we do Mr. President?"

A long sighed left out of his mouth and looked all of them. "We must find the root."

He, the President already knows what to do for their first step. He must contact Fushigasaki, his trusted man, a bounty hunter who is also residing in Osaka Japan. He is only in his late forties but he is still the most keen man that he have ever meet compared to all of the agents and securies that he have met.

After the President dismissed the meeting he couldn't find the way to sleep soundly. He had this urge to make a move or anything that would amke him calm. He had to do something. He looks at the picture of his wife holding their dear daughter and all of a sudden his strenght came up like a bolt of electricity.

Seconds, minutes, hours and days are wasting if he won't do anything or just maybe a small steps. Small steps would make a bigger steps to everything.

He took his phone near beside the glass table and dialed Fushigasaki's number. It had been how many years after the have seen each other yet Fushigasaki had his number that only him can contact and nothing else and now it is ringing.

"Samuel"
