Chapter 99

It was cold night and Slasher couldn't get to his sleep as much as he wanted because they will need it. But as he looked at Gunner who is organizing the things that he had stolen from the office of Dr. Vega he couldn't help but to soar a smile into his lips because of how he is proud of his twin brother. He had changed so much unlike before that he was so dependent on him and he was teaching him on how to independent because they were not getting younger anymore but right now he had changed a lot.

'Gunner," he called which makes Gunner turn his head on him and faces him with a worried look because he might need of anything so he run into him.

He looked at him worriedly and asked, 'Do you need anything?"

Slasher shook his head and grabs his hand and holds it firmly. 'We haven't got any chances to talk along these past few days that we have reunited again, Gunner," he said and Gunner nodded his head and returns back the gesture.

'Yes, you are right because of this damn place we have right now and what we are facing we haven't got any chances at all even though I badly wanted to talk to you," he stated and Slasher felt the sincerity in his voice and he was somehow proud of how matured he is now.

Gunner had told him everything that he has faced and of his struggles inside of the building yet Slasher shook his head which makes him stops from speaking.

'It is not that talk that I wanted to hear from you, Gunner," he said which makes Gunner scrunched his forehead and looked at him questioningly.

'Your life outside," he added which makes Gunner smiled and holds his hand firmly.

'My life outside was different from the time you are have vanished out of thin air. Some of them try to convince me after those years that passed by to move on because they say that probably you are dead. But I didn't believe on them because I knew to myself that you were still out there waiting to be rescued and screaming for help," I knew from the bottom of my heart I feel that you were still alive. Yet every time I saw Mr. Tanaka and his wife passed through our office I couldn't help but to feel angry of how they looked at me and their eyes speaks like they were mocking at me," he said as he clenches his hand which cause his knuckles turns to white.

Slasher could feel the anger in his system and it was his fault from the first place of not listening to his scolds on him and still gets to his plans. He was swallowed with sympathy of how the Tanaka's had told their stories. Of course they were telling him the truth but he felt the ordering voice in the tone of how they approached him but he ignored those scenes especially the eyes of Tanaka's wife as he looked at him and Gunner but he didn't give a damn about those and he wishes that he had have second thoughts about it. What was his mistake from the first place was not having a second thought about Gunner because he knew from the beginning that going to the WIC Company was a dangerous idea. It was like he was gigging his grave already fifty feet above his head.

There was so many what if's running through his mind and he suddenly wished that he could turn back time and if he will then maybe all of these things had never been existed or so will but he have Gunner behind his back. But if so he could turn back the time he would get himself and Gunner out of their country and live their life to the fullest in the other side of the place that they would call their own.

But witnessing what it had done to the people residing to Japan was horror and even the innocent people were gone into danger and thinking that they were too having their dreams and all the plans that they wanted to be going into their lives may they be bad persons nor good person they have the right to live and not to be experimented like an animal.

But it was too late for that to have second thoughts and to have regrets in the end because everything was now in front of him and what's far more than worse than that was his brother had got involved into his mess . . . a mess that is harder to think of how to escape.

'I am sorry, Gunner, because I was the one who brought you up to this mess," he said with a low tone in his voice and there was hurt in his eyes as he looked at him.

'No, you don't have to say that because it is my job to save you because you are my twin brother . . . my other half," he said which makes the both of them smile.

Even though Gunner told him that it was okay he still couldn't forgive himself for everything that he have caused because he promised to their mother that he will not put Gunner into danger and he will be the one who will be taking care of him until the very end but it ended up oppositely because Gunner was the one who was taking care of him and not him. It was a total reciprocate which he hated by now. But he will do everything not to be a burden to him.

Gunner wipes the tears away of Slasher eyes using the back of his hand and smiled trying to cheer him up because he knew what was running through his mind by now and those are blaming, regret and having so many thoughts in his head that he wanted to erase but knowing his twin brother he will just let him to do think of that and he will be by his side comforting him until he is okay. That was the only thing that he knew that Slasher wanted because that was his trait when he was a child their mother were always comforting whenever he feels down of having a bad grades especially in physical education.

'Before we could cries ourselves in here please let us just stop the total drama so I won't shed tears anymore because it is making me lees being a man," he said which earned a laugh from Slasher.

They still don't feel sleeping so they have talk about when they were kids which makes that a total bonding even though they are in the pit of danger.

'Do you remember when we tried driving that motorcycle of the neighborhood?" he asked and even though Gunner was not yet responding he burst into laughed as he remember what had happened that time.



'Totally because that was sick! What we have caused there is far more dangerous for a young kid like in that kind of age," he said which makes Slasher took a deep breath and sighs and suddenly pulled Gunner for an embrace.

Slasher was happy and grateful because Gunner had never have any second thoughts upon going to the WIC Company even though from the start he was having the feeling that danger was lurking inside of the building and they both knew that the missing person in Japan was abducted by that company but what Gunner knew from that time that it was just danger and could be put into an end because he haven't got into there. But what he doesn't know that was waiting for him was horror and full of heinous crime inside.

What Slasher didn't asked to him until now is why he had gotten back so fast upon searching for the passage of way out? He had a strong feeling that there was something out there that was much more horrible and what had happened to Ross is still mysterious to them but one thing he knew and believes about that is that he is now dead. He is dead because maybe out there is far more different from now. Out there is never the same place that they have run and walk into. He still could remember the scene when he was abducted by what he has thought a ghost because it was after all an experimental astral projection. Because now he was one of those but far more than worse than those things because he had been injected by this serum that he couldn't describe.

'Have you already drunk the serum by the way?" he asked which makes Slasher looked at him and shakes his head.

'Why? You should drink it by now," he said and he could see he was having second thought and worried about the serum.

Gunner knew what his twin brother is feeling and he feels the same way too but what he had seen there and from what his instincts were telling him those are already the answers to their questions. Even though it is not an enough proof of telling him that was his instincts that tell him that it was already the answer but what if it is? It could be the final answer of him being back to his normal shape again.

'I am worried about this because what if this is not the real antidote? What if Dr. Vega is just making the fool out of us?" he rained his with question and there was a rattle in his voice and he was also shuddering to the thought that what if it was already too late for everything?



'I know, I know, Slash, but what if this is it? Drink this and we will see the result. Before I have return back to you I firstly examine this to the microscope if there is anything meticulous into it but I haven't seen anything. I won't give it to you to drink if I am not sure, Slash," he said which makes Slasher nodded his head and smiled that didn't even quietly reached his eyes.



Slasher thought about it and he was right all along because from the start Gunner knows what he is doing and he will never ever put him into danger. And it is time for him to listen to him because right now he was telling him what to do and if he refuse to it now it is like he had repeated what had happened from the past. And he will not make mistake twice this time. He takes the serum out and opened it.

He looked at Gunner before taking a drink of it and Gunner was just there sitting waiting for him to drink it.

Minutes had passed after he had drunk the whole serum in the small bottle and there was nothing he had felt, there was no sudden reaction just like what happened to Ross. There was no reaction at all and day by day there was something changes happening to his body which making him get back to his normal shape. But as Gunner see there was nothing effect on him be he believes that it was as the same as Ross had intake and what they do right now is just to wait for the result. Wait for a positive outcome and if that happens then the hope is totally smiling towards them.

Slasher looked at him with a questioningly looked and he knows what does that mean and he felt that he was somehow nervous at the same time.

'Everything's going to be alright, Slash, because that was the same thing that happened to Ross. There was no sudden effect into his system but we could determine what had gone slowly changes into him. It was a slow pace but it is still a good news but what the serum he was taking was maybe different from yours which is why I have taken at least three bottles of it so you could at least one bottle per day and even though we don't have a watch to look at we will do it manually like right now. From this side of the wall I have determined the different air pressure. When it gets cold the outside was getting darker meaning it is already night just like hot, warm, and lastly getting cold," he said which makes totally makes sense because even Slasher notices it too from the very first start that he had get into this room.

The pressure was getting how many hours so it maybe the pressure outside which is great for them to tell about the time even though it is not exact yet they will know if it is already night or day.

Slasher smiled at him as he was amazed of how observant he was. He was different right now a lot had changed since then, He couldn't help but to be proud of him.

'You changed so much, Gunner," he uttered which makes him looked at him out of curiosity.

'For the better that is what I mean. The last time I checked you were such a cry baby and independent to me which is why you don't like me being in a relationship with someone else because you can't stand in your own. But look at you now you can stand in your own now even without me, Gunner," Slasher said Gunner doesn't how to feel about that because of the positivity and something else.

'I got into this state because of you, Slash. I begin to being like this because there is no one that I could rely to believe I have been a coward facing those monsters in here. I have been able to face them because I made you as my inspiration and if I didn't make it that day maybe I have been dead all along. I have been so toast especially that nun," he said as he thought about that nun it was making him cringe as he recalls her eyes looking at him and how she surprised him with her sudden appearance.

'You also have encountered her, huh," he stated which makes him look at him causing Slasher to nod his head as he could read what was he was telling him.

'Yes and she was scary and she had been wanting to kill me," he said which makes Slasher laugh a little because even him had been in his shoes that time.

Hours passed when Slasher yawned and that was signal for Gunner to let him sleep. He prepared his bed and wrapped him with the bed sheet that he have stolen from the office of Dr. Vega and also makes him a pillow out of it.

'Sleep next to me," he said as he grabs the arm of Gunner and smiled.



Slasher doesn't want him to sleep again to the floor and he had been getting used to it that would deliver him to ill like pneumonia and he doesn't want that to happen to him. Slasher begs for Gunner to sleep beside him and so he did. It had been a long time since they have used to be like that because as they get adult they have also separated their rooms to each other but have shared the same thing especially when someone loves to use this and that so they would exchange.

Gunner couldn't get his sleep so he just pretended to be fast asleep until he feels Slasher was already asleep. He was just closing his eyes and just passed thirty minutes before opening his eyes again. After minutes had passed he slowly opens his eyes and looked at Slasher who is now in a sound sleep and he smiled as he brushed his hair using his fingers. A tear escape from his eyes and he just let it stream down to his cheeks down to the sheet that is soaking in wetness. He couldn't express how happy he is right now because of what was happening to them. They maybe having difficulty of escaping from hell but they were still having a ray of sunshine even through in darkness.

Before he gets himself to sleep he promised to him by a whisper that he would do everything in his might for them to escape in this building that they are into now. He would do everything whatever it takes and it takes someone's life to be taken away just for them to be free then he would be willing to sacrifice himself juts to let his twin brother live his life and live their dreams at the outside world.

He sighed and looks at the ceiling. His twin brother was right he had changed a lot he was not anymore the dependent twin brother that was always clinging for his company and for his help. But after entering the WIC Company everything had changed from klutz and coward to independent and full of determination.
