Chapter 48

Silence took over the place, not even a thing can be heard and even the air inside is putting pressure that Gunner couldn't explain. Does his plans now are going to be failed? Is he doomed now? He wasn't expecting such a thing yet Gunner feels like all of his plans have burned to ash.

'Ibiza," he uttered under his breath enough for them to hear it. Yet Gunner didn't stutter for a moment he was just worried but he wasn't scared. He was prepared after all.

'Gunner Daemon," Ibiza commented which makes Gunner look at questioningly and asked himself for a second on how he learned to know what his surname is and then it hit him because of Slasher.

Gunner was prepared to fight but Ibiza was just there sitting in a steel stool which he knows that it doesn't belong in the room. Ibiza was just there looking calm as he always is but there was a different aura in his posture and his eyes. Gunner also notice on how he had turned into something else. The last time that he had seen him was their fight and from what he remembered he wasn't tall like now. Or maybe he is just new upon seeing him again.

He positioned himself and his hands formed into fist and not having any second thought of stopping himself from everything and again Ibiza sighed.

'I am not here to fight, Gunner. I am here guarding you for a week now that is why no one is bothering you. You just haven't happen to notice me again because you are too focus on your goal," he stated which makes Gunner grunted because he was so sure that he didn't let his guard down and he was sure of that yet he failed again. But why would Ibiza guard him? Does he wants anything from him?

'Why? Why are you guarding me? What do you want from me? From the last I checked we were enemies," he said as took a step back not letting his guard down and he walks slowly as if circling Ibiza.

Ibiza sighed and looked like problematic and massages his temple like he was in deep pain and Gunner know how does it felt. This building is giving them such a pain that they do not know where it came from. It was like their energy is slowly consuming by the building and even Ibiza was not exempted to it.

'I don't know how to start in telling you this and I won't ask you to believe in me because in fact we are enemies but from what I have discovered I just couldn't help but to realize something and that is what makes me mad. I have only one goal in my life and that is to be one of the perfect weapon that Dr. Vega will have but now it didn't matter anymore because I was too blinded because of my goal and about myself that I didn't realize all of this. I let my guard down also," he stated which makes Gunner just looked at him still didn't know what he is saying and what on earth did he realize. If he was just starting for a show then it was unlucky for him because he is ready to kill someone.

Gunner is still circling him and his fists were ready to punch in anytime that Ibiza will take a wrong move.

'My father's name is Michael, Michael Daemon," he commented which makes Gunner surprised on what he had just said.

Gunner was familiar into that name and he believes that he had heard it from his mother but he didn't yet seen that man. He just couldn't bring it out.

'Maybe we are in the same situation when it comes to our biological father's. My father and yours are brothers. I know it is hard to believe into it but how about me upon seeing it with my two eyes?" he said and even though Ibiza is hairy he can see that his forehead is sweaty and even his mouth were like bubbling with saliva that he couldn't even spell what but it is ridiculous. Gunner could now see him as a wild animal. The figure of being a human is no longer in his image.

'There is this library in here, it was locked and no one is allowed to go in there unless told so but it is so happened that I just feel that I kind of remember your faces, you and Slasher your twin brother. I happen to see you in a photo and I came back to that library after I have secured your safety and I didn't realize I forgot you because of what I have discovered. My father was in that photo and I know his hand written style and I am damn sure that he is the one who wrote that at the back of the image saying ‘nephew' and if it is indeed you two are his nephews then we are…"

'Cousins," Gunner completed his sentence but still he didn't believe what he is stating. Even Gunner couldn't form the word cousin out of his mouth and it just came out.

Gunner couldn't help but to ask himself how could it be? And why did he ended up being like this and why did he just said that they are just the same when it comes to our biological fathers.

'Where is that photo?" he asked in order to know if he is telling him the truth.

Ibiza turn his back like he is getting something out of the pocket of his pants and that is when Gunner just notice that Ibiza is now wearing a loose pants but he isn't wearing any shirt.

Still Gunner didn't let his guard down he is still in a position of fighting. Ibiza slowly show him a crumpled image paper that he bets it is the photo that he is referring to.

'This," he said as he slowly lift the photo in the air and Gunner could see it perfectly in his area.

'Toss it to me," he said which Ibiza immediately do it and Gunner just catch it in the air.

Gunner looked at Ibiza who is still calm and just waiting for him to look at the image. He slowly looked at the images and the first thing that he had saw was him and Slasher. Ibiza was right it was indeed the two of them in the picture. But they were young and Gunner couldn't even remember this day that they have taken a picture.

'Dad?" he murmured as his eyes landed at the right side of where Slasher is and to his back was he believed that it is Ibiza's father.

He couldn't remember everything in that day and now that Ibiza had told him about this and if he is really a son of this ma names Michael then he is well indeed their cousins.

'I don't know what to say," he stated which was the whole truth and heard Ibiza sighed.

'Me too," Ibiza commented and there was something in his throat like he was about to cry but he was just stopping himself. 'At first I really know what I will be and nothing will changed my mind after that and then I met Dr. Vega and introduce me to everything that I desired to know and then here I am, looking like this," he said referring to his physical appearance right now as a sticky saliva again came out of his mouth that drop to the floor.

'How did you end up like that?" Gunner couldn't help but to ask a question to him like that. He just couldn't imagine the happening's in his life that drive him to be like this.

A tear escape from Ibiza's eyes which he immediately wipe it away using the back of his hand and Gunner could feel the pain and regret in his eyes. Emotions in the eyes of a man don't lie.

'Like I said maybe we have the same situation from our biological fathers and I can tell that because your father is currently working with Dr. Vega and they are not yet came back and that is why I am taking this chance to tell you all of this. You don't know how much courage it took me to get in here, here in front of you. But as soon as I saw your determination to survive and to prepare yourself in everything including in fighting me I can't help but to admire your fighting spirit even facing this kind of situation," he said which Gunner was taken aback from what he have heard from him.

'Our father?" he asked in a low tone of voice wanting to think that he had just misheard him. He doesn't want to think anything bad about their father and now that he have learned where their dad is and what makes it worst for him is their father is working with Dr. Vega.

Meaning his father is also an enemy. Gunner couldn't help but to ask if he knows that Slasher is one of their subjects. Or he does knows but he just didn't give a dam care. There are a lot of questions now that is running in his mind.

'Yes, upon looking at that picture I also notice him, he was far from that photo right now a lot of changes from his face maybe he just got older or what but I am accurate that he is Dr. Brace. I just don't know his last name and that is why I have no idea from the very first pla-' he was cut off by his words when Gunner immediately spoke.

'Yes, his name is Brace, Brace Daemon and your father Michael Daemon I believe I have heard his name from my mother but I couldn't remember it because maybe I was young back then and we didn't get along so long with our father because he just left us with no reason and he is the reason why our mother died because of depression. I can't help but to curse him and put him in the hell in my mind but as to what Slasher said that we must forgive him becaue he is still our father and so I did but now hearing from you that he is working with Dr. Vega and Slasher now being one of the subjects out there I suddenly want to kill him even my soul will rot in hell. He doesn't deserve to live while others there are fighting for their lives and facing death while he is enjoying all of it. I bet he already knows that his twins are in here," he grunted and while getting his teeth. He was flamed up with anger that any time soon he can kill anything that would go in his way.

Gunner looked at Ibiza who is also staring at him. 'What are your plans now?" Gunner asked which Ibiza shakes his head slowly.

'Maybe I just have to wait for my death," he weakly answered which makes Gunner shout.

'Damn you! You are weak! You just surrender yourself like that without fighting? At least fight for your way Ibiza!" he shouted which makes Ibiza shocked from his sudden action.

'How could I fight in like this? My consciousness of being a human is slowly eating by this serum that was injected to me. I will be no longer be me in the end and I suggest you to kill me right now before I can kill you," he said which makes Gunner smiled and shakes his head.

He gets something from his pocket the blue serum which makes Ibiza surprised.

'Take this, Ibiza and maybe it would help you. You will regain your life expectancy," he said handing it to him not feeling anymore fear.
