Chapter 89

A day before the explosions of the aircraft . . .



Hiro Fushita, holding the time of the bomb when to explode it in his hands. He holds the timeframe of when he imagined the fate of Vega. He knows it is not easy to defeat Vega and he shouldn't be underestimating him and in order for Vega not to suspect him he had deposited into his account the amount that he wanted. But all of that money is fake but it is not only him who could do an experiment because even he knows how to made one especially when it comes to money after all he is handling a casino in Las Vegas.



It was also his father who taught him so much in handling it. Money that comes from the people are easily deposited into their accounts while if they ever win into gambling the money they will be credited to them are fake . . . a fake that they won't even notice because it looks real for a week when they already touches it and it slowly shrinks into its true form of fakeness.

And upon seeing Vega's mood he certainly had seen his account now loaded with millions of millions of . . . fake. Hiro couldn't help but to smile as he imagines how he fooled him but it was not enough because he wants to get even more. If someone says that it was just a small or just a kid reason of what he had become now he doesn't give a damn. And the reason is enough because of those two kids who have managed themselves to escape for the meantime. He had seen Gunner struggle to get Slasher out of that globe and if he was not mistaken he had seen that kid named Ross. He was their cousin yet he didn't know who his real father was because as far as he knows their lives are a little bit complicated that he didn't bother checking their background. What was more important to him right now is to save Gunner and Slasher.

He was all along in his camouflage tent above and he all knows what was happening down there. He was also rooting for Ross to defeat Dr. Brace and he had prayed that he would kill and so he did. He was so happy and at the same time enjoying every little details of it as Ross took a slice of his flesh and put it through his mouth and make him chew it. It was an indeed sight for him.

He couldn't get down and help them because it will all ruin his plans. It is not that he was afraid to get down there. It was because the hidden eyes that were lurking in every corner of the walls they are stepping into. They couldn't see it because all they know is the CCTV's but the fact is there is more than enough. Vega created monsters and put them in every wall of the building that no one could see it. That also explains the different atmosphere down there and the moist air because of the breathing of those monsters and their food is them. And maybe that is why Gunner felt dizzy all the time because those monsters were sipping his blood and he doesn't even know it but what keeps him amaze to him is that he was still standing and getting hold of his mission. He was different. There was something into gunner that he couldn't yet explain but he will be soon.

And that gives him a strong feeling when he saw him fight with that animal man whose name is Samson from what he have heard. Knowing Ross that he was also injected by a serum like to that person he was surprised that he couldn't keep up with his pace but it was even more shocking when he saw Gunner fighting in such a mysterious way. He was having this kind of adrenaline that he didn't suspect him to have. It was alarming for him because he have seen them in their childhood until they were already young and he didn't notice such an ability coming from him but what he saw was different.

Hiro, took a deep breath as he sips his black coffee. He was still at the top ye have everything that he needed up there and he didn't leave the place since he had started panting bombs and from time to time he is checking his chopper which he had hide in the bush and was covered with camouflage fabric which makes the subject goes invisible.

He couldn't risk failure to come in his way and he is doing this thing in the name of Merliya. If ever his plans will bear a good fruit he promised to himself that he would do a DNA test for those twins and him because he had a strong feeling that those is his. It was a crazy idea but he will not put hopes into it he just wanted to make sure and there is no wrong in checking just to give him peace of his mind in the end.

'There is nothing wrong with it," he muttered as he places his cup to the saucer that is still smoking in hot.

No one would see him that kind of darkness but inside of his tent will also will not lead him to trouble. He got everything under his control.



Every time he thinks about Merliya his heart was pounding so bad that he doesn't even know what the reason is it was like there something that he should be worried about even though he knew that she was already dead but he had this sudden feeling.

'What is it?" he muttered under his breath although he wanted to take a fag he couldn't because of the smoke. Of course from his knowing someone will see it.

Hoes does he know that there are monsters in the wall? Simple, it is because those ideas came from him. When they were kid that time that he still doesn't know the truth behind the friendship that Vega is giving him he had shared about those crazy ideas in his mind. It was just a fictional idea that he saw from the movies and comic books yet he was amazed if that even came to reality. Because instead of having CCTV's technically then it better to have monster eyes in the walls because they are talking about making stories. Eyes and ears in the walls should create a monster inside that no one would ever suspect. Of course it was just his imagination but he didn't know that it will come to possibility that Vega would have it experimented and it indeed came into life.

The air up there is different from down there because there were no monsters lurking from the top because won't witness a thing in there except from the floating office that he has from where his subjects are. And no wonder how Vega learned what Ross had done to Dr. Brace that bastard man finally gets his lesson.



Night passed and Hiro witnessed all of the happenings outside of the building. It was brilliant and also a horror upon witnessing it. He couldn't imagine how Vega put that kind of illusion which looks like real. The forest had change that could fool anyone's eyes into it. What Vega had done was horrifying that even though he still didn't know what was that all about he knows he put that up just not for nothing. It had a bigger purpose and whatever could that be is it was hell.

And then it hit him he had learned from his detective that the United States are planning to go to Japan with a hundred of choppers and every citizen in the United States had been evacuated to their called safe place. President Samuel is a smart man but he could be easily frighten by this kind of phenomenal situation yet he knows he doesn't easily gives up even though he doesn't see any slightest chance of winning into it.

And if ever that is what Vega is planning then he had to make a move. There are no questions of whom he will be targeting first and that is the President so he had to make a plan after that. But he doesn't know how when he still doesn't know what that mirrors is capable of.

Hiro was busy lurking around when suddenly he caught something from his peripheral vision and he was surprised to see that it Ross. He had seen the exit and he was somewhat surprise of how he had totally found that secret passage that even he didn't know.

Being at the top of the building is the most easiest way to find the way out unlike down there yet Ross didn't know about it well in fact he has the ability to climb up to the wall. But then he concludes that in that kind of form of being an animal due to the serum that was injected to him maybe he couldn't think normally and his goal was just to be with Vega and be a part of the building for his entire life. But upon seeing himself together with Gunner he finally found himself for who he truly is. Hiro, was somehow happy for him because finally he had found a reason to live and not to fill his heart with so much anger and hatred.

'What are you up to? Why aren't Gunner with you?" he whispered out of thin air as he stare at Ross lurking around. He still didn't know what was going on and the same as him he was also stunned from what he has witnessed.



From his vision it was as if he was watching a horror movie when Ross lifted his hand and waves it which he didn't know that he was also to himself. It was just a mirror . . . a horrifying mirror that whoever person will be reflected into had no face instead it was just a shadow.

Unknown from them Vega also out a malicious thing in there and it is not just a normal shadow because he also did it to every person who will look into it will feel dizzy, pain, and will slowly lost his consciousness and will be one of his host but of course he had himself protected by it and also his cousin, Seiji.

Hiro, wanted to scream at the top of his lungs when he sees shadows moving jyst behid Ross and it was too late when he recognize who was it . . . it was Vega. He closes his eyes because he knew what will happen to Ross in that time and out of the blue he thinks that this will be his last day. Even though he wanted to help him he just couldn't yet he sees himself as a coward. He was ready with all of his heart he was ready to jump and save him but he stops from doing it when their eyes met. Ross knew that he was up there which makes him shock and worried because maybe Vega too knows he was there but maybe he didn't because if he already knew it then he had already come to his sight.

Ross looked at him and was like telling him not to continue what he would be doing next and just stay right there, so he halted and stayed silent. He was curious when did he found out that he was there? Or is it just by coincidence? Ross, eyes were mysterious and it was he already knew this was going to happen.

'Ross," he uttered under his breath and his eyes widened when he followed them and witnessed Vega throwing Ross as easy as throwing a crumbled paper. He throws Ross to the huge oak tree which makes Ross cough in blood and he couldn't open his eyes enough.

From that kind of impact no one will ever survive for a normal person and that is when Hiro, realize and could see him clearly in the light. The last time he saw him from fighting Dr. Brace he was somehow look like an animal and then now he was different he was somewhat looks like a normal person right now.

Hiro, was curious how Ross turn out to be like that and after all if he did return to his normal self again then there is a cure inside of the building and those are the serums of Dr. Vega. He admits that he also felt pity about those people who Vega's captives but what can he do? Even though he was a millionaire or billionaire man, money can't buy a life. And he was also doing this thing to end up the life of the building and also Vega forever.

The cost of forever cost also a hundred of lives but he will do everything to save all of those people to his might. He knows Gunner is also sacrificing things and knowing Gunner he won't leave those people especially those young ones just like his age. After saving Slasher he was sure he will come to this building and save the others and that won't happen anymore because he will do everything in his position.

With a snap of Vega's fingers Ross was already dead but that death he sees peace because from afar he sees smile in his lips as he watch the leave in the oak tree sways in the air. Even though the place was fabricated it was as if he could see sun rays running through the leaves of the tree which sparkles the eyes of Ross and he slowly closes his eyes and there in any second he was out of breath and was considered dead. Hiro couldn't believe that in just a small amount of time a person life was short. Ross didn't even see the outside world once again. He had himself back into his normal shape because maybe he still wanted to start his life again from scratch and then this was his fate already.

With a heavy heart Hiro turn his way back to his tent because he couldn't bear it anymore but he will have to plan now considering that he already knew what the mirror itself was now. He was sure that the United States will soon come here and because of that mirror he was having a feeling that he shouldn't be looking himself at the mirror because everything that Vega built had its own reason and those reasons were all perilous. Back to his tent he had this jet pack that he built himself he could use it for flying.

The President will surely use their war aircrafts and when they landed here surely they will just go circling around because Vega will be playing with them and he will aim them for an explosion. That was his conclusions yet he wasn't hundred percent sure but he has a strong feeling that it would happen. He will use his jet pack to fly and just ignore the mirror and go save the president by the time of the explosion and because Vega was occupied to what was coming. Hiro would have to borrow the invisible sheet from covering his chopper to cover himself from flying and by saving the President for them not to be seen.

As soon as he gets the sheet he smiled and prays that everything will go to his plans but he had to make sure and have to save for another plan B.

'I won't let my guard down and should not underestimate him but also applies to him. He should not underestimate me," he uttered as he prepared himself for his plans.



Unknown from the others Seiji knows someone was lurking around and he just couldn't put a name of who it was but he was sure that it was an outside person. Yet even though he had no plans in telling it to Vega because even he doesn't want to trust him anymore. He believes that in the end Vega will kill him. Vega treated him nice because he was still using him bit when he was about to get useless then he will also be thrown out.

Seiji roamed his eyes around but he couldn't see what was making him bother. But he was sue that whoever it is he will caught him in no time and will but him bargain to his plans. He also wanted to kill Vega anytime soon but knowing his capacity he had no strength to Vega. So he had to be nice to him until the end because his life is at the brink and he had no choice but to follow all of Vega's orders. Even though they are cousins he just couldn't take it because he had been such an animal to humans he had been taken away by his dream . . . too far away and as far as he remembers those dreams were dreams of his father and not his. He was just continuing the legacy words of his father. He doesn't even know what his dreams were and probably he doesn't know it to himself too



'Pity," he muttered and looks through the outside and far from his place he could see Vega standing there and looking where Ross was lying. He threw him some kind of a liquid and was put into a fire.



'Gas," he said answering the question forming into his mind. He was an animal and could stand a human burning and what's more worst is that he was completely normal watching the body burning in fire. He shouldn't be surprised because Vega had killed many and that is not enw to him anymore. It was like a habit of him now and he looks like he even enjoys it even more that every time he killed humans it was sort of his regaining his energy.



'I wonder where the gods are."
