Chapter 53

Lightning starts to strike across the dark sky and rain starts pouring. Hiro sips his black coffee as he stares at the pitch black sky. He couldn't hide the smile on his lips as he thought about what they talked about.



He doesn't care what his decision will be in the end. All he could think about is how miserable he is right now. What he said was true and he didn't put an effort to do that just for nothing. He wants to bring down Vega because he wasn't a friend after all. He was just blinded to his generosity and kindness because he was his only friend that could understand him but he was wrong. All of those were just for a show.



His hands formed into a fist causing his knuckles turns to white. He was holding grudges to Vega who he had treated him already like a brother a part of his family but all of those memories were burned into ash as he felt betrayed and looked like a fool. How did he find out? He find it out from the third time of when Vega visited him again in their house.



And maybe because a blood of Fushita is running through so he pretended everything that it was all right. He treated Vega the same way as he was treated. He was a great pretender and his father adores him so much. His father already knew that Vega was the son of his greatest enemy he just let his son find it to himself because a true man will find his true power by himself.





Sunday

Seven-thirty in the morning

The sun was shining and the grasses are so much alive with their green colors perfect image for the children to have sweats by playing out at the backyard. Hiro was expecting Vega for his third time to visit because he is going to show him his latest toys which was the train that his father had bought him from mainland China. And also he was excited to see what Vega is also having for their play.



He also told him that he had this new released toy robot which was also bought from China. The two of them are fan in collecting valuable toys with such a price that not even a commoner children could afford because they are just extremely rich.

Hiro wasn't stealing anymore until he meet Vega that day and pays him a visit which he didn't expect not even once because no one wants to be his friends. He had told his father about his new friend and he had no comment about it and just let him do his thing which was okay with him. From a young age of him he is already thinking like a matured person.



He looked himself at the mirror as he fixes the collar of his polo shirt and then a horn hank letting him knows that his guest has arrived. Even though it was just the third time he already knows the sound that his car is making.



'Vega's here," he murmured as he hurriedly looked at his window and smiled. He quickly run to where the door is and run down to the stairs.



He was delighted and excited at the same time. He was already near through the door when he stops from his tracks upon opening it. His heart beat started pounding which gives him the instincts that something was wrong behind those closed doors. He slowly walked near the door to hear what the sound is murmuring and he could that it was Vega.

He placed his hear to the door and start hearing it.



'Yes, dad, I know what I am doing and he is not my friend," Vega said from what he imagined he was talking in the phone but he couldn't hear it clearly.



A tear escape from his eyes which he immediately wipes it away and blinks his eyes for not shedding tears anymore.



'Yes, I know you don't have to rub it in. As I said I know what I am doing and as you said always to me I am going to befriend him in order to use him to my future. I am doing great, dad. I have to go, he is waiting for me," he replied to his dad and hears the beep saying the line had ended.



He quickly pulls himself and goes to the stairs of at least three steps and run down again pretending that he had just got down from it and that is when the door opened by Vega smiling widely at him while showing a box of his toys.



Right from there, Hiro, couldn't even see the real agenda of Vega from his eyes. He had been fooled but it was just for a short of a while. And right then on he had told himself that if Vega likes to play a game then he would love to join him gamble in the game.

In the reality of world there is just a pain and darkness and nothing is more than reality of that. They see the world with joy in living from the moment they are born, but as time passes, only hatred, grief, pain, and suffering are the words that can give meaning to their lives; this is what the word reality means.



That day deep in Hiro's heart is pain. He was hurt from what he had known but he must be thankful because he had known it later on or else he had been such a fool in so many years if that show goes on.



After that day when Vega bids his goodbye the real him shows and he meet the eyes of his father who is already looking at him. A smile formed from his lips as he looked at him and gestured him to go near him and he immediately obeyed. And it seems like Hiro already knows what his dad is trying to tell him by an eye contact.



'How was your day, son?" his father asked as he took a sip of his black coffee in his favorite white cup.

He sighed and looked into nothingness and it was then his father laugh which made him to look at him. 'I guess you already knew it, he replied and his father nodded without even looking at him.



From the very first time that I laid my eyes on that kid I already knew who he was. He is the son of one of my greatest enemy and I wonder why he had let his son out especially in here with his service. His father knows who you are and maybe he had plans in the future and what a rascal move he did. But his father Emmanuel still didn't know what he is trying to put up even though in some other time he will know who he is. A genuine friendship who is he kidding?



'Then maybe I guess you forgot that we are Fushita's," he said in a low tone of voice and placed his cup in the saucer.

Hiro felt disappointed for the first time because he had been fooled but as he looked at his father he was shaking his head like he could read his mind.



'I didn't interfere because it is your business even if you are still young but it would help you in the end and look at you now. You have learned so much just from the very young age. My father thought me that way and here I am that is what I am teaching you right now. You must from your own because if someone dictates you I don't know what you will be in the end," he commented which makes Hiro realizes things.



He had always seen in the movies what parents do to their children but his father was unlike them, far too much way different from them and from what he had experienced he had to admit that he was right. He must do it from his own.

'But I am proud of you son. Don't be discouraged if you don't have any friends as much as you want too. It is better to be alone than to have a companion that would stab you in your back at the end. You know life is easy when you are alone it may be a slow pace but at least it is still a progress," he said as he smiled genuinely to his son which surprise Hiro. It was rare for him to see his father smiling and especially it was he is the reason why.



Hiro couldn't help but to smile back to his father and there that day he promised himself that he will not let his guard down and will not ever will.





Hiro shakes his head as he recalls what he and Dr. Brace had talked about. He despised people who neglected their own family because a family is all that a human has ever since they were born. And will always be there through your ups and downs. But this man in front of him had the guts to neglect his wife and their children. And that makes him want to make his life miserable. He made those boys life into a good place by giving them first a free rented room so they wouldn't be bothered, why and, have scholarships for them and he was like a living a secret guardian of the two since their mother died from depression but the cause of her death was the car accident. Of course those young boys didn't know what to do and that makes him get his move and have paid all of the expenses of her funeral without them knowing and says it was just a charity work. Hiro was amazed by those two young boys because from their age they have initiative and strategies to survive for a day even though sometimes he gives them free food and make it looks like a donation. But those young boys search for a job even though it is a small pay just to sustain their expenses every day as they study. And then Hiro believes that they would make it through their lives and leave them.



He later on learns that some of the young boys and even old men have gone missing in Japan and he knows who already is the culprit and he didn't altered on it because somehow knows that even the government in Japan is up to it. He have no business in there but as to when he have again check the twins for how many years it had come to him that the other one named Slasher is missing and there he already knows where is he and he has put surveillance in Gunner and to what the least he expected Gunner search for his brother and he is now a captive of Dr. Vega. He was planning to take them by all means but it was like the fate is already crawling into his feet and he and Vega have meet again.



Of course he will not let Vega takes his money because he just made a show of giving what he wanted. By all means who on earth would want a soul of soldiers and declare a war? Hiro doesn't care of all that all he wanted is to raise money and be the most respected man because in his perception that is what the reality of the world they are living in.



But now he want to put spice in his daily life and that is why he prepared his private plane to go to Japan and will put a surprise into the WIC building that would blow insanely to Vega. He had atomic bombs enough to make an explosion into that building and he just wishes Gunner get Slasher out of there soon. He believes that he can but if they don't then maybe it is their fate.



'May the Gods be on your sides children."
