Chapter 100

Slasher touched the edge of the wall and when he felt that it was somehow getting warmer so he conclude that it was already early in the morning and maybe it was somehow cold yet the temperature was somehow different before. He winced in pain as a strike of pain hit in his head but it was just a quick feeling.

He massages his temples and looked at Gunner's direction and he seemed to be still at sleep and he guesses that he had a hard time getting his sleep last night and he will let him sleep for maybe an hour and if he still didn't wake up then he will be the one to wake him up. Slasher knows that his twin needed to rest because he had gone through much these past few days and he also know he had been lacking of sleep which tells why he was getting weak but he couldn't blame him because he was trying all of his best for them to get out and resting just for an hour will make you insane because of thinking.

He feels his legs and from what he knew he couldn't walk but there is inside of him that was telling him to do so. He slowly gets up from the bed and lay his feet to the ground it was his first time to feel the ground again it was rough and at the same time cold. A smile slowly curve into his lips as he totally landed his feet to the ground and he tries slowly to get into his feet and walk.

His legs were still shaky because he knew that he was going to fell down anytime soon but he didn't which surprised him and maybe the serum was starting to kick into his system which he founds fast.

A small laugh escapes from his lips as he felt like he was an image of being a toddler who is still learning on how to walk but then again he was having a great time of knowing he can now already walk.

'I can walk," he uttered under his breath and look at Gunner who is still sleeping and as much as he wanted to tell him the good news he will announced and show it to him later when he soon to wake up.

He tries to take a step by step walk and he was indeed could stand into his own feet without any guidance or something he could keep his balance and that is when his eyes widened of surprised because his legs that was once skinny was fuller just like his normal legs were.

He feels his face as he touch it with his two bare hands and even though there was no mirror inside of the room he could feel something difference into himself. His heart was racing so fast and he startled when someone spoke behind his back.

'Slash?" Gunner called as he brushed his eyes using the back of his hands and even he couldn't believe into what he is seeing even though he had just opened his eyes from sleep he was sure he was not hallucinating things because his twin brother could now stand into his own feet.

Slasher looked at him with a smile in his lips and Gunner couldn't help but to walk near in his direction embrace him with a hug and as he pulled out he looked at his legs and touched it.

'It is like you are getting back into your normal shape, Slash," he exclaimed which makes Slasher nodded his head and even he couldn't believe what his situation is right now the serum was working on him and he already had hope in his heart that he could live longer.

He admits he was ashamed from the first place because he believes and keep on telling to himself that it was too late but because of his twin brother he felt he was the one who needs to be slap with the truth. He was the weak one and he was the one who is needed to be guided and not his twin brother.

He burst into tears which makes Gunner worried and hushed him.

'What's wrong? Is there any painful to you?" he asked and Slasher pulled him again into an embrace and sobs into his shoulder.

'I'm sorry because I was the one who gives up first because of my condition but you prove me wrong from the start you keep on telling me that you will find a way and I am the one who keeps on having these negative thoughts that maybe we will never make it. I am the weak one and not you, Gunner," he said and Gunner brushed his back and shook his head.

'No, I have gone through like this because you are my inspiration, remember?" he uttered and as they pulled out of their embrace Gunner gestured him to take a walk and he nodded his head.

His legs were still shaking because he was still new to it but he was determined not to even trip and to walk again because he misses to be in the ground walking because it was his hobby every morning when he was about to work. He thought from the beginning that he had been captive by Dr. Vega there is no hope of him being able to walk again in the ground as he sees his legs getting even more skinny and shaky and later on he found himself not being able to walk in the ground from that time. He had fully accepted his fate that day that no one would ever dare to rescue them because there were already hundreds of them down there and if someone had the courage to rescue them then it didn't come to hundreds of captives in there. He had already committed his life and even his soul to the astral projection and as he see those young men they were too accepted their fate but there is this one young kid nearly in his twenties. He was wide awake and haven't get into his astral form because he was still new and maybe he was there just a few weeks ago and from what he read from the name plate that was stick from his globe his names was Shun Tanaka and he feels like it was somehow familiar to him that kind of name but he just couldn't remember it and bring it out to his mouth.

But what he sees from him was just like him before he was a mirror of himself because he was talking about his dreams as there were tears in his eyes and he keeps on sniffing his nose and from his perspectives he believes that he was crying all day. It was not his intention to hear what he was murmuring but he couldn't help but to eavesdrop of what he was crying about. He was crying about his dreams that it was now breaking into little pieces and how he dreamed of building his parents their own home. That was the last thing that he had heard from him and from the next day he found out that he had died and he didn't even last for a month. Somehow he felt heartbroken even though he doesn't completely know that person but as it was like he was a mirror himself from the outside world he take a look back of who he was from the least. Of what was his mission to his life and that is when he remembered Gunner, his own twin brother. How come he had forgotten about him? It was himself he was just thinking about and he should feel ashamed of being like that . . . of him feeling like that.

From that moment he wanted to burn himself with so much curse that he could because of what on earth he was thinking about that time. Why he had forgotten about his twin brother? What was he doing by now? Did he eaten his breakfast, lunch and dinner well? Is he okay? How was he doing? Those were the questions that were running through his mind. He was a selfish human being that he didn't even take a look back of his family . . . his only one family and that is his twin brother, Gunner.

He then think of a plan on how on earth he could even contact him even though it was impossible to think on how is he going to start. But even though he had given a strength to think of something that he could contact his brother by using the globe of where he was at now. He knows it was dangerous and he was risking his life into it because he was already weak and the machine was like already consuming his own soul and energy but he didn't have any second thoughts about it and still tries. It was a month when he took a familiar with the machine and have sent an email to Gunner and he was thankful enough because he haven't forgotten his email address because from the first place he had forgotten of who he was. And from the time that he had sent him that email it had cost him pain and maybe it was an hour of suffocation of air and he passed out he thought he was already dead but as he opens his eyes he was in like this white room with oxygen and dextrose in him and he saw a blurry person who was walking near in his direction and before he could see his face he was taken again by a deep sleep.

From then on upon opening his eyes again he found himself back in the globe again but that time he knew that he was already in a different kind of globe and it was new like it had just built up. His heart was racing because maybe Dr. Vega had learned of what he had done from that globe. But maybe he didn't because if he knew then he had him died from that time or was already disposed.

And now in front of him Gunner was looking at him with a smile on his lips because everything that he had done and sacrificed had bear a good fruit. He tries to walk again and again and jump with joy as he was not dreaming because all of it was not a dream all of was true.

'You can walk!" he exclaimed which makes Slasher run into him and holds his hand firmly and smiled.

'Thank you, Gunner," he said with a grateful heart and Gunner couldn't help but to shed tears in his eyes and he couldn't count to his hands of how many time they have shared some teary moments by now. They look like gay brothers yet they were just happy.

Gunner was happy and full of joy in his heart when finally his twin brother can now walk on his own without someone or something that he could rely on. His legs were now fuller just his normal days and that serum was excellent and his instincts never lets him down.

'You have to drink the serum again by dawn," he said and Slasher nodded his head and walked again the four corners of the room.

Gunner couldn't help but to shed tears again and he even looks himself like a gay because of how may time he had cried these past few days. He just couldn't believe that finally all of those hard works had finally paid off. He was somehow grateful of what he was witnessing right now and looking at his twin brother who is happy to know that he could now walk into his own feet was also a happy feeling for him. Indeed the gods doesn't abandoned them. And now after this he will not bother anymore to carry with him Slasher in his back for now he could and now they could plan together and help each other. He sees that easily right now and he knows Slasher knows that.

Gunner walked to where the food is organized and grab something to drink and also to eat. He grabs of at least two stone breads and a bottle of water which was left last night. He drank of at least one-fourth of it and closes its cap before handing it to Slasher who is still having a great time of his life.

As he took what he needed he walk back to the bed and sit at the edge of it as he took a bite of the bread and munched it. It was a glorious time for them indeed and he could see changes in Slasher right now and that serum was indeed effective and he had only two bottles left and maybe if he had drink all of it he will be back to normal shape again. He touched the corner of the wall to see if the temperature had changed and it indeed changed.

'I can now do as what the plan you are thinking now, Gunner. You don't have to carry me now," he said with a smile in his lips and Gunner nodded in his statement and handed him the bottle of water and he gladly take it and drink all of it sensing his thirst.

'Also I can go with you to steal some foods again but maybe that won't be necessary anymore because we could now get out of here," he said and Gunner gestured him to take a sit beside him and so he did and handed him the left stone bread and ate it immediately.

'I needed an energy but I feel like I am full of it right now and that was strange," he said and even Gunner could see that and he can see that the serum was indeed strong for him to feel like that way early. He was somehow thinking that maybe it would passed for how many days before he could see changes just like Ross but his was different it was just a matter of hours and thinking that he had drink juts maybe how many hours earlier and it effect right now.

No wonder why he had found it in such a sacred hideout in the wall. And therefore he was having a thought that this building had more secrets to reveal other than those secrets that he doesn't wish to know. He believes that this building was made out of machine or it had a life on its own or maybe something more but he doesn't want to think of it any harder. All they need to think about is a plan on how to escape to know that way out . . . to survive and nothing more.

But what they didn't know that the wall they are touching which gives them the time if it is already morning or night is an old monster in the wall. It was the biggest and an old monster that was currently living in the WIC building and it was the first ever monster that Dr. Vega had experimented into. It was a human that he had abducted and turned him into an animal who slowly changes its form and that is when Dr. Vega had decided to put him to the wall being a CCTV inside and that was his father's experiment a long time ago. But that monster isn't a dangerous as before but still if he wanted to live longer he would eat all of the energy of the person that was inside of the room and that is what Gunner and Slasher were feeling right now. But that monster inside of their room were no longer eating their energy instead they are giving them warmness but he couldn't control the cold. Even though he couldn't understand what they were talking about he knew and he can feel that they are in trouble and just searching for the way out. Nevertheless if ever they will get out of the building that is when he will finally take his life because deep inside of him he still knew his name. He still knew his name and that is all but he doesn't know who he is the real him, his real life because his mind was already corrupted. But he knew deep in his heart he had leave a very important person in his life and it was frustrating that he couldn't even blurt it out. But as soon as he gets to know Gunner and now Slasher he was having a feeling that he was an ease in his system. There was something in them that he couldn't describe and he hated it. He already wanted to die because maybe in the afterlife he will know who he is and who they were.

His name was Haku . . . Haku Fushita.



OSAKA, JAPAN

Years ago . . .

'Haku! Haku!" a little voice shouted calling his name.

'I'm here!" he shouted back as he wipes the sweats away in his forehead using the edge of the sleeves of his cloth.

Footsteps were come running through his direction and he smiled as he saw him.

'Where have you been?" he asked which makes him smile and he knows it irritates him.

'I was here all the time," he answered and that makes him stick out of his tongue on him.

'No, no you weren't here because I was here a long ago looking for you and you were not here," he answered back as he put his hands into his waist and even though they are still kids he looks like matured.

'And then I was here so here I am," he said which makes him rolled his eyes on him and juts nodded signaling that he had already surrendered himself because there is no use of fighting him because he knew he was just a pain in the head.

He sighed and said, 'Don't tell me you go again to that place that mom forbids us," he said and he was even more surprised when he nodded his head slowly and one thing that was nice in him was he never tell lies when it comes to that situation. He was honest to his twin brother all the time.

'How dare you," he said which makes him sighed and they both took their sit to the greenly grass ground as they unwrapped the sandwiched that he had bought for them. It was a snack that their mother had especially made for them.

'Mom, is working so hard to give everything that we needed, Haku. She even makes the night as a day just to put food in our table. And the only thing or favor she was asking for us is to never go to that forbidden place," he said causing Haku to sighed as he grabbed a bite of the sandwich and it was his favorite because it was also made in tuna and lettuce.

'I didn't exactly get to the forbidden place . . . it is much more like forbidden person," he said which makes his eyes widened.

'What?!" he exclaimed and Haku assured him that everything was alright and let him talk first which makes him nodded his head. They are twins and they understand each other's gestures or even just an eye contact.

'It was just an accident that I got to see him . . . it was just a coincidence. I know mom had sacrificed a lot for us but don't you just think of a day of how you misses our father?" he asked as he looks at him and he could see in his eyes the hatred and he didn't care at all to him.

'Did it even cross to your mind if he even misses us?" he asked back which taken him aback he always shuts him up in the end.

'I am telling you the truth that it was just a coincidence and from the time that I laid my eyes on him I instantly followed him and just look at him from afar and I just left when I learned that he was fetching his son just like our age in the school," he said which makes his twin look at him and there was sadness in his eyes and he knew Haku was hurt too and he was ashamed of how he had behaved earlier.

He brushed Haku's back using his hand and sigh. It was already dark in the afternoon and they finished their snacks before getting back to their home where their mother was already waiting for them for dinner.

As soon as they finished their snacks they took their stand and they are about to walk back when Haku stopped his twin.

'I'm sorry, Hiro, I won't do it again . . . I promise," he said as he embrace him and he returned back the gesture.

Haku and Hiro was twins and they are a son of one of the most billionaire man and their mother was the first woman that their father had loved and they just separated their ways because of his father's parents because they were just young back then. Their mother was just a commoner whom their father meet her in this coffee shop which she was the server. She got pregnant and before she could tell it to him he was already sent to Las Vegas and so with a heavy heart she crawled the life of raising them on her own and had promised to herself that she will never ever get to him even though the time will come that he will return back.

'Let's go, mom is waiting for us and I can't wait for the porridge that she was cooking right now to taste it. She even cooked fried fish and dumplings," he said which makes a grumble noise and that came from the stomach of Haku which cause them both to laugh so hard.

They went back to their home with a smile on their faces . . . a genuine smile which comes only from a lips of a child.
