Chapter 115

It was already in the middle of the night and Hiro and Gunner had already done placing the bombs to the generators. Samuel was currently in fever and was in his high temperature and they didn't know what the reason of his fever is. Thankfully Hiro had medicines for him to take especially in fever and he almost wanted to badge himself a boy scout because he had everything that they needed and he couldn't even remember the reason why he had bought with him those things.

Nevertheless they are thankful with it yet still Gunner couldn't help but to get worried because of his high fever and he was also chilling and Slasher on the other side is still at sleep but he had made sure that he was still breathing and maybe the reason why he is still at sleep is because of the serum.

They were startled from their seats when Samuel was moaning and at the same time chilling which makes Hiro stands from his seat and immediately get near to his place. He checked on his pulse and since he was on his high fever rate that means a faster heartbeat goes right along with it. He immediately gets a towel with lukewarm water and gently wipes his forehead and along with his entire body and changed his clothes on. Gunner was just staring at his sudden actions and even him was worried about Samuel and he understands what was he feeling because he was too had been feeling the same way as him back then but he had it all penetrated and considering that he was all alone. But he was still thankful enough because he wasn't abandoned by the person who is up there.



'Is he going to be okay now?" he asked as Hiro gets back to his seat and took a deep breath as he take a gulp of the glass of water he was holding on.



Hiro nodded his head but he wasn't convinced because he could still see him shaking which makes him even more worried about it and Hiro held his hand and gently squeezes it making him sure that everything will going to be alright as long as they have each other. Gunner nodded and even he was surprised by his sudden action of embracing him but Hiro return back the gesture. Hiro couldn't help but to feel happy because it was his first time being embraced again and thinking that it was his son it was the greatest gift that he could ever had in his life. They stayed that way for a minute and pulled out when they heard Slasher moaned and Gunner and Hiro immediately run to his direction to go check on him.



'Slash, I'm here," he called him as he brushes his hair with his fingers and gently placed a kiss to his hair. 'How are you feeling?" he added and he couldn't help but to be worried sick about him he shouldn't have insist him of drinking that serum again because of the side effects that he was feeling right now.



Slasher assured him that he was okay by giving him a squeeze in his arms and mouthed in a weak voice, 'I'm okay don't worry about me because first thing tomorrow I am all better. I just needed some rest and I am sorry if I couldn't be any of help right now but I will be once I am all settled and okay," he said assuring him and Gunner nodded his head and kiss his head one more time before tucking the blanket on him and let him sleep.

Hiro brushed his back and said, 'He is going to be okay."

It had been minutes when Gunner was assured that Slasher was okay as well as Samuel before he gets back to his seat. Hiro handed him a cup of coffee and it was still smoking hot which was the best to have in that kind of situation.

Gunner sighs as he placed back is coffee to the saucer that was place in the table and Hiro couldn't help but to look at him but he instantly averted his eyes on him. He couldn't help but to wonder about having a twin because he was once have one but he didn't get to see him again.

But he believes he is still alive and just hiding out or maybe still waiting for him, but how come he didn't even get to find him even though he was the richest man in the world and he couldn't have what he wanted and it is because not everything that he wants or everything that a person desires is given since there is a reason behind all of those.

He took a gulp of coffee and returned it to the saucer when flashing memories began to return to him, and he couldn't help but be hurt. Even after all these years, the pain was still haunting him. He did not give up his search for his mother and even his brother, but it ended in total failure, and sometimes he couldn't help but blame their father because he was the reason why he lost his memories, and even though it is only a couple of days or a week, it is still crucial as a lot of changes can happen in a matter of seconds.

That night—the incident they had encountered was the most terrifying situation they had ever felt, considering how young they were and how many men were chasing them. They were the reason why they have split up and right now he couldn't be able to track them down which was impossible because how on earth they have gone that so fast?

Not to say that there is also a person who is secretly watching them but he wasn't even sure because all that he had remembered that night was he was just keep on running and running and praying that they have themselves hidden to where he and Haku's secret place of hiding whenever they wanted to hunt. He was sure that they are already in the safe place once they get in there because no one would ever suspect of them being that place because they are the one who builds it.

And as he looked at Gunner and Slasher earlier from how his gestures and concern as he walk into his twin brother he couldn't help but to also remember that kind of situation of him and Haku way before because he was once like that. He promised himself that if had not saved his twin brother and his mother he will made sure that Gunner and Slasher will make it out through this building and they will live with their normal lives again.

He couldn't help but to wonder what had happened that night with them.

'Can I ask?" Gunner asked which makes Hiro taken aback from the reality.

He turns to face him as he took his cup and took a sip on it. 'Yes, what is it?"

"Seems like you're too preoccupied with what's going through your mind now I've called you how many times," he said, his eyes starting to worry.

'Sorry and it was nothing it was just—it reminds me of something but don't worry about it. What is it that you wanted to ask me?" he asked and Gunner was not convinced in his response because his eyes tell different.

'Exactly that is what I am going to ask you because from the moment that we have landed in here I couldn't help but to notice that you seem to be in deep though and Mr. Samuel had been calling your name for how many times before you get back to your intuition. Tell me what is running through your mind? Because as far as I could remember if you have said that you were our guardian angel those past few years then you know us but we don't know you so if you don't mind letting me know you right now," he said which also surprised himself because he had not seen that coming out form his mouth because it was not his intention after all and he was not planning to confront him.

It was just his mouth was like it has a mind on its own and had mouthed all of those long statement and now he had to made a stand with it.

Hiro was taken aback of what he had just said but smiled because where could he possibly inherit that kind of direct confrontation because he was just like his mother and a half of him. He had to admit he was feeling happy every time he thinks that he is his son.





Hiro nodded his head and place back the cup to the saucer and took a deep breath because it will be a very long story but he will make it somehow short for him.

'Don't make it short that night is long and I am willing to listen," he said which earned him a laugh because he was like reading what was running through his mind.



He nodded his head and took a deep breath again. 'My name is Hiro Fushita and just like you I also have a twin," he started and Gunner was somehow surprised because he didn't even see that coming because as far as he could tell the twins should have each other's back or it was just him who always have that kind of perception in life when you have a twin.



'A twin?" he breathes couldn't help but to be surprised.



He nodded his head and continued, 'I also have a twin and our life changed in just a night. One day our father showed up for how many years that he had gone and we don't even know him but Haku was eager to find him because he found the diary of our mother so I have no chance but to follow him and every day we do that routine just to see our father but our mother didn't know about that," he said and there was pain in his voice on how he delivers all of those memories and it keeps flashing back to him and maybe it is okay to face his fears and just to look back one more time.

'Our mother let us pack our things—things that we could carry and bring necessary things to us. Then we run through the woods since we don't have any money with us so we take the run and walking but we don't even mind it because we could do everything because we are already used to it. They are already men chasing us there were a lot of them that we lost counts and mother told us that it was our father's men and said he was a total danger. Haku and I have a plan and that is to lure away those men and the bait will be me while Haku will take or mother to the safer place which was out hideout and I believes that they have managed to hide and I promised to Haku that I will be finding them soon as possible but that didn't happen because our father had caught me. He had my memories erased for at least a week or so but I hit my head and that is when I remember everything and I didn't tell him that and I took that chance to search for them but then in the end I failed," he said reminiscing all the things that had gone through those days.



'What happened to them?" Gunner asked and Hiro shook his head.



'I don't know but believe I even conducted a search for them and even though I am rich those money that I have spent is useless because even though you almost have everything you just can't have what you wanted. I ended up losing everything and it reminds me when you go near to your twin earlier and I couldn't help but to get jealous about it because even I want to have that kind of gesture together with my twin because we promised each other that we will have each other's back even though we have our own family in the future," he said and Gunner couldn't help but to smile because that is how he and Slasher talks and believed way back before.



'You know what maybe you are our father."
