Chapter 46

Gunner came into a halt when he saw someone in front of the office of Dr. Vega. He was thankful enough that he saw it on time which he didn't made a turn. He was able to sneak peak at him at the corner of the way.

'What are doing there?" he whispered to himself as he looked carefully to who it is. It was so familiar to who it was but he just couldn't bring it out from his mouth.

The man was fidgeting of what to do if he will knock on the door or not which makes Gunner asked himself if his plans was now a total failure. 'Is Dr. Vega is now in there?" he asked to himself but he was sure enough that Dr. Vega wasn't.

The person suddenly turn his back which makes Gunner to see the face of it. 'The priest?" he whispered in shock which makes him cover his mouth he didn't want to make any ruckus. Of course that priest didn't harm him from the first place but what if it was all a show because the nun is now gone?

He almost forgot about the nun and questioned himself if they had already found her body? He couldn't even tell if it is a female or a male because of her physical strength that would passed as a male. Even though he had her kill he must admit that she was difficult to fight. Does that priest looking for that nun? Well maybe he is, after all he is a priest.

Gunner took a deep breath to see if the priest is still in there at the count of three.

One… Gunner closes his eyes as he place his head near the wall for a sneak peak.

Two… it was now or never he needs to do what is planned to do.

And at last count three and he opens his eyes to see if the priest is still in there but he was wrong.

The priest was also in the corner next to him and was just inch far away from his face. His eyes were puffy and the white are of his eyes were already red. They are in eye to eye which makes Gunner stunned from his feet. He froze and his heartbeat quickened as if horses were running and thumping into it. The stale of fear was in the air and the priest smiled at him showing his yellowish slimy teeth and gums.

'Gunner," the priest whispered which makes Gunner took a step back.

He doesn't know what to do he feels that he is trap from there with him.

'Don't be afraid as to what I have told you from the first time we meet. I hope you still remember that. It is not the first time we meet, Gunner," he commented and Gunner couldn't help but to nod. And even though he told him not to feel scared he can't help but to be.

'But why do I sense that you are still afraid of me? Did you do something that I wouldn't be grateful, Gunner? Have made a sin?" he said which made Gunner swallowed his own lump. The priest looks at him as if he could kill someone and then he thought of the way to make his plan go right.

He was indeed right the priest was looking the nun and if he learns that he is the one who put into silence of the nun then it will be war between them and in his condition right now he will not let him ruin his plans. For now he had to skip him and return to what he had planned. Gunner collected his composure and calm himself.

'I am here to heal myself and to steal food from Dr. Vega's office," he said without stuttering and he was proud of it. It was the half-truth though and he is indeed will steal a food from Dr. Vega's office.

He looked at the priest showing his sincerity and seems like the priest is trusting what he have replied and nodded his head slowly. Gunner also notice that his right hand is bleeding and he couldn't tell if the priest's age and how long he had been here. Is he and the nun are also one of the experiments of Dr. Vega? Well, it seems like it.

'Maybe you are asking yourself upon why you have seen me at the front of the office of Dr. Vega and I won't answer that for now," he said which Gunner just nodded and was patiently hoping that their conversation will end up soon of Ibiza will later on search for him and he haven't have enough time to hide again. 'Well you seem to be in rush and maybe I can gamble into you in entering Dr. Vega's office. You see I am not allowed to enter there for I am restricted in that area for I am well-known of stealing his things. My body had this microchip that if I step into his floor even just for a little I would be suffering a deep consequences," he added and Gunner wonders what will he requested to him.

'Okay," he shortly answered just to end their conversation and start his plans right now. There is not much time.

He walked where Dr. Vega's office and grip the doorknob and the room was empty. 'What do you want me to get here for you?" Gunner asked as he looked at the priest who is roaming his eyes inside of the office.

'If you could please find this blue serum. It is in a small bottle just like those," he said as he pointed out the small bottles at the glass table which Gunner nodded. He guess he have to do that first before his.

As Gunner was searching for it he couldn't help but to ask why and what. What is that serum for and why does he needs it? But it was a hectic time for him to question those and just focus in what he was doing. Gunner couldn't help but to admire the intelligence and patience of Dr. Vega making such experiments. But his intelligence lead him in this situation. He uses it in a wrong way. And Gunner believes that someday Dr. Vega will learn his lesson and it would be judge by above.

'If my instinct is right you are questioning yourself what is that serum and why do I need it. To answer your question that blue serum is for healing and I want to drink one of those or else I will be saying my rest peace tomorrow and I have not much time now. I have been for a long years that I lost counts and I haven't even seen sun rays since then and that is why my image is like this, horror," he commented and sighed there was sadness in the tone of his voice. 'Dr. Vega also injected me and the nun with this kind of serum just like Ibiza but Ibiza's serum was the most perfect while us are the trial of the serum but I am still thankful for it because that serum is the most dangerous thing that would be injected to human. A human that will turn you into a monster and you will lose yourself. I don't want to die yet because I still want to see the sun rays and if see that maybe… maybe I am ready," he added and with that Gunner immediately have found the serum which was in the last cabinet and was blocked by the big boxes.

He stands from his feet and took at least two serum and show it to him. 'Are these the serum you are looking for?" he asked which made the priest eyes lit and nodded.

Gunner slowly handed the two of it and the priest slowly turn his back into him ready to walk away. 'Maybe one of this days I will repay you," he said in a low tone of voice enough for Gunner to hear it.

After that Gunner was now completely alone and he quickly gets what he was there for. He walked where the breads are took at least two of the big stone breads and a bar of chocolate that was enough to feed him when he feels low in blood sugar. And at last he looked again for a water bottle which led him to the trash bin and thankfully he had found one that still had a cap and close. He took a smell of the bottle to see if there something wrong with but nothing. It was just a water and how lucky for him to get of at least two liters of a water bottle. He immediately get into the sink and turn on the faucet and fill with water the bottle.

And before he could forget he also search in each cabinets if there are pain killers for him to take. He also had at least a small knowledge when it comes to medicines so he could tell if it is a painkillers or not.

'Yes," he said as he saw patches of painkillers that he is familiar with it. He took at least one patch of it and was ready to get out when his peripheral vision see the blue serum again.

Gunner stops from his tracks and quickly get at least one of those. He is scared to drink it because he wasn't sure if that priest is telling him the truth about the serum or not but he could check it.

'At least one," he said and took one of the serum and dashed away out of the room turning his head from left to right to see if there is an enemy. 'Okay, first plan check and now time to get to the room, ' he said as he slowly closes the door not wanting to make any noise from it and run as fast as he could as if someone is chasing the hell out of him.

And before he even know it he was already at the front of the room of his brother.

Gunner slowly grip the doorknob not to make any noises and look to surrounding if no one was watching or chasing him. He was all alone in that area and that is the signal for him to go inside.

Nothing change as to what he left in the room meaning no one had entered there and look for something. Gunner immediately took his supplies below to the bed where his secret hideout and maybe he would stay there to heal he would just give a small hole for him to breath and enough to give him an oxygen.

After that he immediately took his power bank and charge his phone right away. A tear escape from his eyes not because he feels weak but because he was proud of himself for being such a brave person right now. He knows how to handle things of his own now and can make plans for him to survive and he wishes his brother would see it. He smiled at that thought because he already know what would his twin would tell him and that is because they are twins.

He misses him so much because he is the only family that he had. 'I am going to save you Slasher may it be hook or by crook and even if I risk my life it would be all worth it," he said as he wipes his tears away using the back of his hand.

Gunner took his phone and the power bank with him upon entering inside of where he would hide himself for the meantime.

He was looking for an answer upon how he would save his brother and the other else that would not risk any life upon doing that.

And his eyes lit up as he closes himself below the bed.
