Chapter 30
Gunner grips his hands with as much energy as he has right now. He doesn't want to faint and he doesn't know if Ibiza is going to come into the room. He must be prepared or else everything will be put into nothing.
He walked to where he had hidden the metal comb. He guessed he needed to wound himself again. He looked at his bandage and there was dried blood in it.
'Here goes nothing, again," he uttered as he closed his eyes and put the metal comb on his wrist and slid it back and through until it bled. His teeth were gritting in sanity because it was too much pain that his body is receiving.
Gunner cannot help but to curse himself because of what he had been doing. He put the metal comb on where he had hidden it and placed the bandage on his wrist again.
'It worked again, but I can't stay like this. I am losing a lot of blood and this can't even help me," he sighed and closed his eyes as he tightened the knot of the bandage.
Gunner walked slowly to the bed and took a seat. He looked at his phone to see what time it was. He also noticed that the surroundings were silent. Yes, he knows it was a total silence, but it was a different one.
'I can't just stay here all day. I should get to that station," he said, referring to where his brother is now.
He took his water bottle and slung it onto his shoulder. He checked his things to see if he had it all and before he could forget, he took out of the socket the charger of his power bank. He had almost forgotten it. He immediately hid it under the bed.
He walked at a pace to where the door was and took a deep breath. First, he felt the surroundings if anyone were outside. He opened the door and took a peak at if anyone was out there, just like the scenario of him and the nun.
'Clear," he said, and took his phone out and slung it onto his neck to keep on recording a video even though he was running.
He was almost at the cross path of the hallway and he looked to his right and his left and it was clear. As to what he remembers, he must go to Dr. Vega's office and he just hopes that Ibiza is not there or even Dr. Vega. He had to use that secret tunnel. He had to save his brother now.
Gunner was running on errands because he had to save a lot of energy if needed, but as much as he wanted to run as fast as he could so that the priest or the nun could not see him, he just couldn't.
Gunner knows that he had no plans on how to escape, but he can't just take it anymore. He needed to go out because every second and hour that he spends inside is making him insane. He is losing his sanity to live.
'Left," he uttered as he gasped for breath even though he was running just at pace, but he could hear his heart beat so loud that it seemed like it coming out of his chest. He was not like that before, but now he feels like such a weakling.
The office of Dr. Vega was still far away and he knew it, yet he was running at a slow pace.
'Just keep on running," he cheered himself and he could almost feel his knees being heavy to lift.
Again, there are intersections on his way where he does not know where those paths are going. But he just kept on the straight path but as soon as he crosses the path he saw a person who was staring at him like it had been there waiting for him.
The nun…
In no time, Gunner sprinted for a run and he heard the nun laugh hysterically like a crazy psychotic person and was chasing him now.
'Oh! Gunner, Gunner, Gunner, Gunner, Gunner, Gunner!" the nun chanted as she sprinted a run chasing Gunner. Her steps were bigger and that would make it easy for her to catch Gunner in no time and Gunner knows that. He took the right way because he had seen at least three rooms there. It was not in the way where Dr. Vega's office is but he just wanted to get rid of the nun first.
He believes that he can get rid of the nun and fight it, because if he will not, then he will die.
'I am not going to kill you! Unless you beg for me too!" the nun shouted, which echoed in the hallway.
Gunner almost tripped and cursed under his breath because he did not see that big stone in his way.
‘Where did that come from?' he thought as he remembered he had been there in that hallway too but had not seen that kind of big rock.
Gunner was sure that the three rooms were just there yet he couldn't see them.
‘It should be here… it should be here,' he thought, and there was panic in his mind because he was sure that those rooms were just here. Unless it was on the left path.
Gunner couldn't help but to curse and curse because of his memory. It was on a left path indeed.
The nun laughed hysterically as she waved her hands in the air and her tongue was sticking out of her mouth and her saliva was drooling on the floor. Gunner halted in his tracks as to what he had learned. His chest was going up and down and his legs were shaking.
Gunner was fifteen meters away from the nun who had now stopped from her tracks. The nun looked at Gunner and smiled deviously, looking like she had won the fight. Then Gunner realized that it was the nun who had made him turn him to this path.
She had planned it all along.
'Wrong turn."
