Chapter 92
A tear escape from his eyes as he reminisce everything from the time that he have saved Slasher. He couldn't help but to be hurt as he thinks that his own twin doesn't believe and trust him all this time. What is his purpose then that he had to be here if it was all a lie? Is he not reliable enough that he had this reason not to tell it to him? As he landed his feet to the cold floor he couldn't think straight he was too distracted of what was Slasher was thinking about him and what was he was going through. Is it hard enough to tell it to him?
'Why?" he blurted out as fog came out of his mouth due to coldness it was different temperature that would make anyone's nose goes to sinus. The temperature really drops to maybe zero if that exist and maybe it was Dr. Vega who really did it on purpose.
He shook his head and he will deal with it later but for now he should have to focus on what is in front of him and that is to search for the secret way out. He waves his hand when there were flies bugging him out and he couldn't believe that there were still flies inside of the room.
He runs as quickly as he could where the dark corners are because he won't know if Dr. Vega is just around the corner. He roamed his eyes in his surroundings and start touching every wall that he passed by. He didn't know if he could find it above or just below or he just have missed it already. But he does not have to lose hope and he will try not to be even distracted by Slasher and he will face him and be frank to him of what he was feeling towards him and how mad is he by now.
‘I am his twin brother yet he sees me as his little brother as of this day. Did he not trust me or just believe on me that I could make it? Am I not reliable enough for him? Even though what is his reason about maybe I will accept it whole heartedly yet maybe it will take some time because from the first place I didn't have any second thoughts in believing that he was still alive. I got in here because I believe that he was still alive and even though maybe I will only get myself in trouble, danger, or just be getting killed I didn't have any second thoughts because I love my brother," he thought and a tear escape again from his eyes which he immediately wipes it away using the back of his hand and concentrate of what he was up to now.
He will slap him with the truth that he knows what he is doing and he will make him realize that he was not his little brother anymore. He could handle things too like him and he will prove that by the two of them getting out of that lunatic building.
He was already at the bottom of the corner of the building and he was still searching for it and what he notices from the wall was smooth and there were no scratches of edges in there. Even though the temperature he was in was cold he could feel that his back was sweating in dampness. He should be as quick as possible he doesn't want to get caught but if he will ever be then he have no choice but to fight back even if takes his life.
Gunner was now at the right corner of the wall and was touching and trying to search for any clues that would lead to the escape area. He could almost see the way out and was already losing hope of neither the secret escape was true or not. Maybe the priest had been just fooling them and had them framed and he was the one who killed Ross from the start.
'Where is it?" he whispered as he stopped from his tracks and his hands dropped into his waist and took a deep breath.
When his vision caught something it was like a little bulging out coming from the wall which makes him eagerly goes there and checked it. His heart was palpitating with nervousness that he couldn't describe it was like it was already the answer to his questions. As soon as he gets in there he quickly places his hand and touched it. It was nearly push the button so he had to push it some more and something moved. His eyes widened in surprise and couldn't believe his eyes that he indeed have already find the secret passage.
'Wow," he couldn't help but to exclaim under his breath just not enough to make any noise yet he heard something coming from the outside which makes him took a step back.
There was noise of someone was trying to get some help or what he couldn't say it because it maybe was just a noise because he couldn't heart it enough with his own ears. Yet he could smell smoke and it was like also coming from the outside yet it wasn't just a normal smoke that he could smell burning from the dried leaves or something grilled. It was like an explosion from something that he couldn't describe.
His guts were telling him not to continue his plans and he just took a step back again and closed the door. He did what his instincts were telling him and moved as quite as he could. He believes that Dr. Vega was outside and he had to continue his plans later or first thing tomorrow.
"I should get back to Slasher right now," he uttered under his breath, and run as fast as he could to where he had entered from the first place. If it wasn't for Ross, he would find it difficult to search for a way in and another way out.
