Chapter 66

Hiro couldn't believe what he was seeing, and if he was correct... right in front of him is Gunner, the young boy he admired for his determination even when it seemed like the world was against him. He was hiding around a corner, planting bombs in every nook he had studied. Yes, he had studied the WIC building for a long time since then because it was such a mysterious place, and every time he analyzed it, some floors and departments changed in ways he couldn't explain. But he doesn't care if they fight or if he considers him a traitor; he doesn't even want him from the beginning of using him for money. He was childish for acting like that and had been for how many years, and they had grown up, but he couldn't forget that his only friend had betrayed him, especially now that the twins he was rooting for were here as his victims.



After setting the bomb to explode at the precise time he desired, he couldn't take his gaze away from Gunner, who appeared to be struggling to breathe and had turned skinny and pale at the same time. His reaction quickly changed when Gunner stopped in his tracks and massaged his temples, and he was kneeling on the floor in seconds. He wanted to help him, but he stops himself because he needs to stick to his plans or everything will fall apart. If his plan succeeds, they may also be saved; he must simply wait patiently and not be moved by his emotions.



He doesn't even know why he keeps on rooting about those boys but he was heartened of those children for some reason. It was like they were his own son but that was impossible even though he had faked the DNA test of them to just show Dr. Brace a perfect story. Even he was surprised when he learned that it was indeed negative but he didn't faked the real diagnosis about his so called disease because he is healthy and could make any woman pregnant.



Their mother was his ex-girlfriend for a long time and they just split because of him. He left her for no reason yet he knows that she was just waiting for him. He doesn't want her to get involved in their family that is full of danger and it was his fault also for keeping their relationship so long because he loves her so much that he wanted to marry her but seeing his family is not worth it because she was just a commoner and his parents neglected her. He admits that he was a coward and he hated himself for choosing his family than her. But even though he was far away from her he had always an eye on her that she didn't know until one day he learned that someone was already courting her and had already announced their marriage. The man was quite familiar to him and that is when he had investigated his background right then on.



After that a month after their wedding day he had flew to where her place is and they had met. At first he was already expecting what will be her reaction and he embrace it all of her anger. He deserves it after all and it wasn't enough. And then that night something happened to them and next morning when he wakes up she was no longer in his place. He knows that it was a big mistake and then again he decided to fly back to where he had come from and just decided with a heavy heart to forget her but he just couldn't until he decided not to get attached to any woman because it was only her in his heart.



'No, it was only one night it couldn't be and how on earth I am even thinking such a thing in a time like this?" he uttered under his breath as he cursed and cursed.



He shakes his head and continued planting bombs and totally ignored Gunner after he secured that he was alright already and maybe he just felt dizzy. He doesn't know where he going to but that way is was Dr. Vega's office and he just hopes that he knows what he is doing. He couldn't guide him for now.



Hiro looked at his watch and click it to see the bombs. His watch shows him the green lights and those were the bombs are. It wasn't enough yet because he wanted to sure that the building would turn to ash and it would be an explosion to every media. What's more interesting is that when it all exploded according to his desire then hundreds of bodies will be found and that would be a great source of show to be showed in the television nationwide.



He doesn't care if those people inside will be put to death because of the explosion because after all even if they survived their brains had been consumed by Dr. Vega's experiment and they will be soon a crazy wild maniac and will not be back into their normal state. And that is also why he is worried about Slasher because he had been also Dr. Vega's subject but he will find a cure for it.

As he was running to the top where there were metals and rusty tunnels metal, he had arrived at where the subjects were. Using the top route is better than using the path below because it was all a maze and he bets that Gunner has learned that.





He smiled as to what he had witnessed. The globes were all open and a smelly odor that would make you want to vomit welcomed him.
