Chapter 58

UNITED STATES

He was the trusted person of the President but somehow he had been avoiding him this past few days after that boy named Joemar released that message. He was a General and a commoner like that young boy will not let his name to be put in trash and dirt. He will not let that nerd guy to access the files regarding to that government of Japan and he will also be in trouble if that happens.

He looked at the picture of his wife together with their son. They were so happy that day that they have taken a picture. It was their son's birthday and after a long work may it be weekdays or weekends they don't really have time to bond with each other but when their son's birthday was coming he already had filed his leave and also his wife.

Arthur smiled as he reminisce the memories they have shared. It was the best moment for them and that was also their son told him. He also felt guilty because of that but their son totally understand them both and he was happy because he had a son like him.

But now the danger is coming and he already knows that is was coming he just didn't know that it was going to be that early. But he got no reasons to be full of whines because he had already known it from the start. He and Dr. Vega were friends in business and no one knows about that which until now he is still cooperating with him and he got millions of millions upon transacting files from the White House into him. Dr. Vega was the reason why he is a multi-million rich man in the United States but no one question him because he was also a well-known General and also a business man.

No one suspects his background and now that everything is not under his control and maybe that nerd gut will be his doomed. He got to do something before he regrets it beforehand. Maybe he would plan for a perfect murder just like he had always do on a crime scene whenever someone needs his help. Or he would do something that would go Joemar into failure so that the President will be discouraged. He had a lot of ideas striking into his mind and he couldn't wait for it like he just wanted to do it with his bare hands and just choke him.

His hands formed into a fist causing his knuckles turns to white. The veins in his neck were showing and the wine glass that he is holding got broken into pieces which cause to bleed his hand. He just couldn't wait but he had this motto that Dr. Vega had given him which he engraved in his mind and into his heart.

'Patience and you will have it all even your darkest desire," he uttered under his breath and exhaled air trying to calm himself and count to three. That is the only thing that could keep him calm for a second and his temper will divert into something different.

He looked at his phone and dialed a phone number which he didn't save into his contacts it was very important to be safe and not saving a contact number that will be easily trace. He had stick a small device box at the back of his phone to prevent someone of tracking their line it was just for security and assurance of nothing was between in their line.

A couple of rings had gone and he was still waiting for him to answer and he knows that he is a busy man but he needs to talk to him right away.

And then he answered.

'Dr. Vega," he said in the other line.

'General Arthur what seems you to be calling me?" he asked which makes him creased his forehead because he had always known that kind of tone of voice. He was irritated that someone was calling him in his busy schedule but it was just a onetime call and it was an emergency.

'Dr. Vega, I think you need to know this because the White House was now planning to attack you in japan and they plan to do it by tomorrow night," he said and the other line was silent and he heard him sigh.

'Thank you for the effort of informing me this early General Arthur well if they are planning for an attack then I will welcome them. Is that all is your concerned in calling me? If that is it then I should now end this call," he said which makes him rattle because he still wanted to say things to him and he wanted an assurance regarding to his family and he doesn't care anymore about the others. He was greedy and he accepts the fact about that and no one could ever change the way he is.

'Dr. Vega, I just wanted again to clarify things about that security of my family when the war begins. I want my family to be safe just as what we have discussed way back then and my name will not be involved in your terms and-' he was cut off by his words when Dr. Vega spoke.

'Don't get into my nerves General Arthur because I don't want to repeat what I have said before and I don't want someone to keep lecturing me. I know what I have said and you have my word. But what you need to vision is what you have also said General Arthur because that might put you into danger and I am not liable in there anymore. And if those are all what you wanted to say don't interrupt me anymore," he said and he was about to speak again when the line was already disrupted.

From there his legs were already shaking and praying that he didn't pissed him off. But he calms himself when he recalls himself what he had said in the call that he have his words. A human will never be contented until he got what he wanted he always wanted more and more especially if he had seen a person who also got this and that. Who also above him and also that person wanted to be like that? It was never enough which called a poison. Above from what the human needs which was wanted was created as a poison if it takes in a bad way… the devil path.

After he had taken away the device box that was attached at the back of his phone there was a message which made him curious.

It was from the bank his eyes almost widened as he looked at the number figures of how much money that was deposited in his bank account. It was from Dr. Vega.

‘You have received one hundred million dollars.'

Dr. Vega didn't fail to amaze him and shower him with such grace. He closes his eyes as he lifted his hands in the air and a tear escape from his eyes. That was what he had always wanted, money. Money is the only thing that would run a people life. If you want to feel comfortable in life then you should have money.

And money is the reason why people expose their true colors. When show them a large amount of money then you will see their true nature, their true sides, and their true color. What the real world is. Good people can only be counted in your fingers while people who are greedy couldn't be counted such a dust. There are so many of them that you would lost counts.

'Life!" he shouted as he stretched his hand and wipe the tears away from his eyes using the back of his hand. He couldn't know what to do anymore of how much money he had now. He feels like he was floating in the air and in ecstasy of cloud nine. He had just delivered a message yet he had received such an enormous amount of cash.

Quickly he fixes himself and gets his coat and glasses. He will take his family out there secretly without anyone knowing but he knows it will be just a meantime. The safe house wasn't just a safe house after all it was built like a land where people could also have their own home like it didn't feel like they have evacuated. That safe house was built in a long year. There is a gigantic wall and a steel ceiling above. The ceiling was made of bricks in the first layer, second was a steel, and third was an experimented wall that even a bomb couldn't fracture the wall and the ceiling.

It was tested at the same time before they confirm that it was totally safe to be in there. It did cost billions of billions and because of the advance technology which they adopted year by year they finally learn how to make it. But still they were unsure if those walls couldn't be destroyed by those unknown objects but General Arthur didn't care less because he was out of there. He had a special treatment coming from Dr. Vega and from that kind of cash he could take his family out of there.

What he only knew for now is his target was the United States and nothing more. So they could live in the Philippines since no one knows them there and he had already built a house there with full of securities that he had learn from Dr. Vega.

He started the engine of his car when he noticed he had bump into something which was the trash bins but when he turn his head in front and just ready to go off he was startled when someone was standing in front of his car.

It was the nerd guy. He horned the car but he didn't budge to move out of his way and he horned and horned again until he couldn't take it any longer. The veins in his head were already showing out and his neck was flushing in red and he couldn't handle anymore the temper that he is holding. His blood is boiling as Joemar looked at him like summoning him into a fight. He furiously opens the door of his car and gets out. He slammed the door and pointed his index finger on him.

'Hey! Who do you think you are?" he shouted and he doesn't care if he shows his true self. If this is how it flows then he maybe will flow of what the situation is and plans to kill Joemar in the spot and he would just show it as a defense system since Joemar was the one who had first summoned him.

'General, I am here to ask you things and I need you to stay calm because I am not trying to have a fight," Joemar said which makes him laugh because he kind of hear his tone of voice like he was mocking him and the sly face of his face that is showing somehow he had seen Joemar as his enemy even though he looks like a loser but he felt different from him which he couldn't explain.

'Oh yes? And you dare to come here all by yourself? Alone? Walking through the cage of the lione you little rat?" he mocked which earned Joemar a smile from his face but that smile even boiled the blood of him.

He couldn't thought or imagine that he could barely smile in front of him like that he guesses he is a;lso showing his true self.

'Are you cooperating with Dr. Vega?" he directly asked without hesitating which makes him laugh a little even though he was taken aback.

General Arthur couldn't make up his mind upon where on earth he got those information. But if he already knows then he thought of killing him on the spot.

'If I told you that I am. What are you going to do? Report it right away to the President?" he commented and pull something from the back of his pants. It was a knife which he always carries with him just for an emergency.

'Why are you already pulling out your weapon?" Joemar asked which makes him stop.

‘How on earth?' General Arthur thought and his forehead were starting to form a bead of sweats he was feeling uneasy right now.

He didn't waste any more second and run towards him and slashed his knife but Joemar smoothly swift his body out to where he was about to attack and as if he was just dancing as the General takes his attacks. Joemar must admit that the General was smooth in attacking just by using the knife which makes him feel like he was used in killing people. But Joemar already knows his background, he had known it from the secret files of Dr. Vega. He had listed the person who had cooperated with and of course it is just fair for him to do it because he is not just by himself who is doing the great job of being a villain. And Joemar was all ears of smiling when learned such a thing and he was grateful that he was blessed of having such an ability to hack. Joemar couldn't be care less to be named as an intelligent person.

General slashed his knife right between his eyes and Joemar smoothly curved his body and lifted his leg perfectly for a bottomless kick where could kick the back of the General and his face would slapped on the ground.

A loud thud which you could also hear the cracking teeth that had been loose in his mouth. The General spit the blood out of his mouth and he was about to stand up when a jolt coming from his back stops him. He suddenly went pale and his hands were shaking and screamed in agony. Joemar let him scream until he got no energy to do so.

Joemar wasn't a nerd guy because he was just hiding his true identity through his glasses and how the way he dressed. In fact he was a spy who knows how to hack which is he, Gunner and Slasher had been friends.

When everything was quiet he heard the General groaned what he did to him was a killer kick that would break your spinal cord but he was a hundred percent sure that his spinal cord was all intact he was just experiencing a jolt attack.

'I'd be lying if I tell you that things are going according to my plans but beggars can't be choosers, right?" he said and stands himself from the ground which makes Joemar surprised because he was supposed to be lying there for an hour but his guess failed.

The General sprinted and put all of his force in his feet to make swift of his knife that Joemar couldn't move. But he was mistaken because he was sure that Joemar was just in front of him and learns that he was already at his back and his leg was ready to kick and his target was his spinal cord again. The General squirmed in pain as he felt the jolt runs through his body and even his head. His saliva was dripping in the ground like a crazy dog and his eyes were already in red and his nose were already bleeding as he touches it.

'If you have just answered my question then none of this had happened, General," he said with a mocking voice and the General couldn't even hear clearly what he is saying. His visions were getting blurry yet he still wanted to fight.

He was drooling in the ground as he tries to get up the veins in his arms were showing up because he was forcing to get up but he failed. There was too much pain.

Tears escapes from his eyes as he sees his situation and how he underestimated the kid that was in front of him. The weak kid that had got him defeated. He slammed his hands in the ground as he couldn't accept the word defeat.

'Are you cooperating with him?" Joemar again asked as he brushed his messy hair back.

'Y-yes, yes I am," he answered and that was a satisfaction answer that he heard from him. A sound of defeat even though he already knew it he just wanted for everyone to hear it. He wasn't alone. The President is with him parked far from where they are that the General wouldn't even suspect. They are now watching what they are doing and also listening too.

'Why?" he asked he just wanted for the President to know all of it. He had already reported to the President what he had known even though he haven't hacked completely but seeing the General's name into it was already a special order.

'I admit I was tempted by the money and the safety of my family. I already had known this about a year ago that a war will come. I had all the files of the White House sent to him that is how he sends me a millions of cash. But all I want was my family to be in a better place and would give them their needs and wants."

'But you know that is not the answer in your problems, General. You don't care about your family. You only care is yourself and your wants. That is different, General," he stated as he fixes his long sleeve shirt and sighed.

'Now what are you going to do huh? It's your words against mine," he said which makes Joemar laugh at his statement.

'Welcome the guests, General," he answered and from that the General lifted his head slowly and his heartbeat quickens as he watched the President ramped his way to where their direction is.

It was as if the time had slowed and he could see the President's face staring at him. He looked at Joemar who was just looking at him too with a small smile in his lips and whispered. 'The face of my enemy scares me only when I realized how much it resembles mine, General."

And from that Joemar slowly walks away passing through the President and the last thing he had known was he was already taken away by a pitch black vision.
