Chapter 122

As they were flying, the Lieutenant couldn't help but to ask her anything that could somehow sweep what they are thinking and would make them at ease whatever was waiting for them for in any minutes from now they are already in Dr. Vega's place.



'What pushed you to become a Vice President?" he asked which surprised her because a flash of memory hits her which she wanted to erase but it keeps hunting her or maybe she is seeking for a closure which is why it keeps on hunting her.



She smiled and answered him honestly, 'This was my dream before and now I am having second thoughts," she answered and he couldn't help but to laugh and also her.

After their conversation they had prepared themselves in any minute from then they are going to land in Dr. Vega's place yet she couldn't help but to reminisce about the past of her and him which she had forced herself to forget and had this kind of amnesia of not knowing him but he was just fooling herself.



She and Vega and had a past—a past that she doesn't want to remember had regret everything and from the day that they have met and she wishes that time she didn't even took a response to him and had ignored his invite of having a coffee with him. She thought he was already the one that she was waiting for because he was the exact man of her dreams that she had been dreaming for her whole life but in the end she was wrong. She was all wrong because she had been left by that man without a word, without any reason that one day she had woken up from her sleep and like a pop of bubbles that she never had seen him once again. She thought it was just one day that he was just busy and had just forgotten to contact or message her but it was unusual because whenever that happens he would call or message her but she didn't received anything from him which was weird and she was starting to get worried that day because she had been contacting him for how many days and she had go to where he introduced his place and office is but he wasn't there.



Days had been months and months had been years until it passed by and by until one day she already had loss her faith on him and decided to go on with her life and had herself in her drive again and move forward to her dreams which she did and had gone successful. She had everything and even have a man to rely on that had help her to reach her dreams and he had given her a son. They were happy and for all of those years of pretending her past had never happened and it was just her imagination nor dreams she had come to believes it and then one day this had come.



And maybe the reason why she had been feeling uneasy because she would finally be able to see him again and what hurt her the most is all those times he had been in Japan for all of those years that she had been yearning and mourning on for his disappearance and she was badly hurt because of what he had done to her. And now the fate is playing with them and she had already put a hindrance to her heart because she now had a family and they were waiting for her. She didn't told her husband her past because it doesn't even mean anything to her and all of those were just her imagination which he would like to pretend but now it looks like the gods are playing fire with fire.



She doesn't even know and she was completely shock about his true identity because he was far different from what he had introduced himself from her. He was a gentleman and sophisticated he had everything that every woman had wished and dreamed of but she never imagined him being like that and from what she had watched from the video even though she didn't even see his face in the video but thinking that he was the one who made those things makes her question herself on what did she see into him. Why did do those things? What pushed him to do those things?



She was startled when Lieutenant Michael holds her shoulder which makes her turn her head to him. 'Are you okay? You seemed to be in a deep thought and the pilots are quite asking you a thing but you didn't respond," he said and she felt ashamed when he saw the eyes of the pilot who had took a second of glance into her direction.



She felt ashamed and apologize for her behavior which was okay for the pilots because they totally understands her because they are quite in a difficult atmosphere yet it was not the right time to be like that because in front of them is an enormous thunderstorm which was their first time to see with their own eyes. Thankfully the chopper was secured and they are all closed in so the rain won't even bother them to make them wet but what they should be worried about is they will be welcoming with a range of storm.



'There's a storm? How come we don't know about this? We do have it checked right before we got to fly?" she asked which Lieutenant Michael nodded his head.

He look at the window and he couldn't what kind of a thunderstorm they are going into and even though they will go back it was like they were surrounded with thunders and their radar where they see the map says that they were already reached their destination yet they couldn't even see a place to land because it was all dark and there is no ground to safely land their choppers. The pilot stomped the device which gives them their location and it had blinked for how many times and it totally got off which was unusual because it was new and the other pilot said maybe it had been short circuit because of the thunder but they all knew that it was unusual and they just wanted to be calm even though it was impossible to do so but they remained calm not until Lieutenant Michael shout which had caught all of their attention.



'Our comrades! Our comrades are gone! Where are they? Could you locate them? Wait, I will radio them," he exclaimed raining them some questions and that is when they also realize that they were alone flying in the air which was earlier they are all intact and have each other.

They were sure because they are the pilots and they make sure to be in their tail just as always but they didn't even notice such a thing. The pilots started communicating the other pilots but no one answered to their call and it was just a beep and nothing more.



The sky was getting even more darker and there are more lightning's and a loud thunderous lightning strikes and it seems like it was hitting their chopper.



She couldn't help but to scream as a hit of thunder strikes just next to them which was so loud that it would sent your heartbeat racing.



The pilots are making it hard to make a way just not to get hit by those lightning's and even though they couldn't even see where they are going they just keep on moving and they don't already know where they are now because the radar was shut off and can never be turned on again nevertheless they needed to be careful and just fly until they could a ground to land on.



'General Edison! General Edison come in! Where are you? Come in General Edison!" he exclaimed as he called using the aviation headset and radio them again using the gadget that was given to them one by one but not even one had answered.



The Vice President was already shaking because it was what she had dreamt of it was quiet different but she knew there will be a danger coming by and this is what is was right now. Lieutenant Michael had noticed her shaking in the corner and he couldn't also help but to remember what nightmare he had also which was completely the same as her. He couldn't help but to question himself if this is what it is and maybe he was still dreaming but he knew he wasn't anymore.



He had so many questions running through his mind of where the other comrades were now and why they have suddenly disappeared. He walked where the two pilots who looks frustrated and the way they grip the joystick they couldn't help where to go as they try to missed the lightning that were about to strike.



'I can't reached them out!" he exclaimed and as he looked through the window there is only pitch of black and only thunderstorm could be seen and nothing more which is making them worried because if they would be hit by a struck of light sure they will go down and they don't know if they would survive considering that there is no ground to land which was impossible.



'So we are, Lieutenant! Put on your seatbelts and hold on!" he exclaimed which makes him run to where his place is and assisted the Vice President to take her seat and help her put on her seatbelt before going to his place.



The chopper is having a slight turbulence which makes her nervous because it was her first time to experience such a thing considering that there is a thunderstorm that was welcoming them and no ground to land it was frustrating that even the pilots don't know what to do. But they say they have reached their destination and should have landed in the ground right now but in their situation they are starting to loss hope.



'What are we going to do?" she asked in her shaky voice and her lips were trembling in fear.



She doesn't want to die in that kind of way because it looks like useless and she doesn't deserve to die like that especially she is not yet ready because she had a family that is still waiting for her. Is it a sin to look back for her past? And maybe she is experiencing that situation because of her past—because of her lies. She should have told her husband about everything and she shouldn't have run away from her past because from the very first place why on earth is she running away with it?



Tears started streaming down from her eyes and she immediately wipes it away using the back of his hand while having a turbulence she couldn't help but to get shaky.



Yes, she keeps on running of what he had from her past because it isn't just a past—it was a horror. A horror that she didn't even knew that she had done it; she didn't even imagine that she could do it together with him.



That night she was furious because her best friend who had cheated behind her back and she was the reason why she was expelled to the school because she had been told that she was cheating in the test and what was the worst part is that she caught her cheating with her long-term boyfriend yet even though they have been fighting a lot they don't split up and they just decided to cool-off.



Her best friend was the one she had burst her agonies when she felt that her boyfriend seems like cheating behind her back which he was in the end and the incredible thing in there was it was he and her best friend which makes her heart broke even more. And then Vega found her in her room and she knows he had been calling her for so how many times yet she didn't pick it up because she wanted to be all alone. She wanted to get drunk, she wanted to forget everything just for a while and have her head in deep sleep. She had already a one bottle of wine that she cursed under her breath because that thing won't even get her drunk totally but it was only she had got in her condominium and she doesn't want to go out anymore to buy some drinks and besides she had at least five bottles of wine so maybe it is already okay for her to put her into a deep of sleep.





She was a fan of having a wine in her and not just an ordinary wine but it was a Chateau Margaux which was her ultimate favorite. She was not rich but her family is. Her family produces those kinds of wines which was the reason she have kind of those which she just stole it.



She was about to open the second bottle when someone appeared in front of her and she was shock to learn that it was Vega who is sternly staring at her. She was currently in the floor and totally wasted and her hair was a messed and her eyes were still teary and the clothes she was wearing was also messy. She was a wasted woman in total of that. She also believes that her eyes that time were baggy and reddish due to her weep and her nose was as red as tomato. He kneeled in front of her and his eyes speaks worried about her which she covered her face between her palm and in any seconds she couldn't hold it any monger and run into his arms and embrace him and burst into tears. He couldn't help but to comfort her and somehow he feel furious about who had hurt her and he promised if whoever that person would be he or she would have a perfect place in hell. He also know that she had a long-term boyfriend which was surprising because they don't even have each other and every time he saw her she was always alone and she was the one who opened it to him which was okay for him because he already had run a background check on her from their first meet. He was grateful and happy because she was honest to him considering that he already knows everything about her and whenever he ask her things she never sugarcoat everything and keep it real which was the most precious thing that he had ever have. And she was the only woman whom he had ever meet that was honest to him and not only the money that was after him unlike all those woman he had go with because he is searching for a chosen woman to bear with his child and now he had already found one. He couldn't help but to think of his so called boyfriend to be a fool which was a good thing because if it is not for him being a fool then she will not end of on him.



'I want to revenge," she murmured under her breath as her face was in his shoulders and it was already soaking in wet due to her tears.



Vega couldn't help but to smile because it thrills him to hear things like that because that is where he is good in doing things that it was perfect so he wanted to ride it all along for her.



He brushed her back as he tried to make her calm and ask her, 'What do you want to do then?" his voice was stern and his hand were already shaking that he had to stop it, it was not shaking because he was scared—he was shaking because of excitement and he wanted to hear it came out from her mouth.



'I want them dead, I want them to taste that pain that they have caused me especially her because she was the one I had relied on whenever I feel something because of him and then in the end she was the snake of our relationship. How sick is that? She was my best friend who I already treat her like my own sister," she said and her voice was shaking and she was trembling and she was furious as he imagined them when she had caught them in his room and they were naked. She couldn't help but to think of how many times that have done that out of her back and she was a fool back then. She couldn't help but to think of when that had started . . . of when she started being a dumb.



'I caught them . . . I caught them and she was sitting at the top of him and was grinding and moaning each other's name and I don't know if how many times they have done that before and I was already making a fool of myself back then. I was talking to a snake and I was talking to a coward man. I want those dead, Vega. Please, I want them dead," she said and Vega closes his eyes on how she had repeated saying those words near in his ear and then it hit him of what to do exactly to those two. He would bring her to witness everything.



That night she just says what her heart says and that is to kill them both but she doesn't even mean it because it was impossible and she know the law and she would imprisoned if she do that. She was hopeless and just needed to burst it out, she was so weak and needed a person to rely on which was him.



'Okay let's go," he said and she just let him take her to which she doesn't know where. She just to go with the flow and she was thankful that he have Vega on her side and was really hearing her voice out and now she was clinging her arms into him.



Yet she couldn't help but to ask herself of why didn't he pop out before he even meets that bastard? She wished it was just him she had relationship with so she slowly grabs his hands and even though she was weak and from her small body frame he stops and they stopped from walking. She pulled him but it was just weak strength but he gets near to her and then she grabs his beck and sealed him a kiss into his lips and he was taken aback and was surprise by her sudden action which he didn't even expect of her because of the situation they were in. He could even smell and taste the wine that was on her mouth and he could tell that it was addicting and he wanted more. He wanted more of her and he swears he will not let go of her now.



As they pulled out of each other she couldn't help but to apologize to him because of her sudden action but instead he captured her lips again and savor her lips and their tongue played in fire and it was steamy and was getting hot but Vega hold himself which she was felt ashamed but he assured her that they would talk about once they are done with their welcoming business which she had no clue of what he was talking about but one thing was for sure that night she wanted to commit her life to him because she felt safe in his arms.



That night, that time she witnessed a horror in front of her and she doesn't even know what to feel because once again she had caught him and her best friend in his bed and having sex and it was like they don't care about her. It was like she was a trash and they don't even have this conscience. The two of them was just standing and watching them but she saw Vega in her peripheral vision which he had a long knife with and it was not just a knife because form what she believes it was a bread knife that which it looks like a saw.



The two was wild in what business they are doing and they do not even felt their presence which she finds it disgusting but she wanted to stop Vega from what he was thinking because she knew the law and they would lead them to danger, to imprisonment. But she couldn't even move her feet from the floor, she couldn't even run to him and stop him from doing such a thing instead she just stood there and just like waited form him to do his thing.









The two were shocked by Vega and asked him what he was doing in there, and the man he loved landed his gaze on her, as did her best friend, but before she could even yell at her, the knife Vega was carrying was already plunged into her mouth, and he had pulled and pushed it again like he was just sawing wood. Blood came out and his ex-boyfriend bathed in it and his mouth was open wide like he wanted to scream but there is no voice coming out of his mouth—but before he could even yank, Vega quickly pulled the knife out of her best friend's mouth and plunged it to his ex-eyes boyfriend's and strike it for how many times she swears she wanted to hurl because she could hear him gagging and catching his breath.



She wanted to faint from where she was standing and as she looks at Vega there were no emotions in his eyes and she could tell that it was like he was used of it because there were no having second thoughts in it. It was like she had met a serial killer with a mask of a sheep yet without it he was the real wolf.



She wanted to slap herself that night because she had to admit that she kind of loving it because it was what she wanted from the first place and Vega was just helping her out so she even had to thank him in the end. But is that really what she wanted from the first place? Is she even a human to have that kind of scene? She thinks no but it had already happened and she has to live with it because she was there in the crime scene. She was a witnessed and she didn't even take an action into it. So with shattering and heavy heart and full of conscience she had to keep to herself because she doesn't want to be imprisoned and make her family's name put to shame and be put their names in news and in television because his father is a well-known man in business industry and she doesn't want that to happen considering the reason is just because of her boyfriend and her best friend it was not worth it to be put them into that case.



She though that night was already through, she thought everything was then settled but it was not because as Vega was holding the knife he was somehow slicing a lengthwise flesh from her ex-boyfriend's body which was near in the belly part and so does her best friend's body. Her mouth hang open and so dies her eyes she doesn't know what was going on because she thought it was all done, she though it was through, she doesn't know him anymore and she stood still when their eyes meet and he looked at her with a smile on his face and he was all tidy and clean and there were no smudges of blood in his face even though she had witnessed how the blood spurted out of those two persons. How could he even smile at those times like he was just playing or something? She wanted to be awake from that bad dream but she knew that she wasn't even dreaming and all of those were really happening.





'What are you doing?" she whispered even though there was no one besides them in the room and her hands were shaking terribly and she could feel her lips were trembling. Her hands were turning cold and she couldn't even feel her feet, she couldn't even move and she hated it.



She cursed under her breath which makes Vega smiled at the way she cursed because even though there were bad words coming out of her mouth she still looks like an angel to him. He smiled and just assured her that everything is going to be all right. He was calm and it was like nothing had just happened in front of them. He roamed his eyes to the room like he was just going shopping and then out of the corner he gets a stainless stool chair and has it for her to sit on which out of the blue she did take her seat because she feels like she was going to faint and any time soon.



She had no choice that time and has no energy to run and that is when to choose to stay because he had the feeling that if she would run maybe he would also kill her because of what she had witnessed. So she stayed and just watches him in horror and she feels like she was eating herself too and she was badly sweating and she felt sticky that she wanted to take a bath and just kill herself too. No, all of those shouldn't have happened but she even lets it meaning she do wants it.



Vega put each of those bodies in a garbage bag which she didn't know where the hell he got those things and he also has ropes to get it tied.





'What are you going to do with that?" she asked and her voice was already weak and she could tell that she just blurted out an air to her mouth but she believes he had heard it.



He turns his head to her, and their eyes locked into each other, causing her to swallow her own lump, and the sweat between her brows was dripping down, and the strands of her hair were falling into her face, which she quickly brushed behind her ear.



'Just cleaning, just sit there and calm yourself because your problems are already solved and don't worry we are going to celebrate it," he huskily said and he was so clam like it was nothing, like he was just cleaning a dead animal.





After he had clean and as she looked at the room which was from the first place it was covered with smudges of blood but right now it was all clean just like how she know it and you couldn't even think that there was horrible happened in there lately. She doesn't know where he had taken the bodies but she doesn't want to know it even more further because she was sure she was going to throw up and so she did which Vega had catches her immediately from falling and assist her in the comfort room which was inside of the room too and there she throw up of all she had eaten that day even her favorite wine taste bitter.



He brushed her back as she throws up and he lend her a handkerchief and she just take it because she doesn't want him to be mad at him. She doesn't want him to be mad at him and maybe she just going to go with the flow with for now.



She couldn't believe that it was just yesterday she was crying all night because she and her boyfriend had talked again and again but right now he was all dead even her best friend.



'Let's get you home now."
