Chapter 124

Both heroes and villains are aggressive; however, the heroes have developed self-control, empathy, and the ability to think logically.



Thunder roars and their chopper is having turbulence. General Edison and General Cormac were alerted by a sudden image of what had welcomed them which makes the two get near to the two pilots. Lightning were starting to strike right through them which the pilots smoothly over run it but they shouldn't be felt relived just because of that because as General Cormac looked through the window he started getting worried and his heart race because the other choppers couldn't be seen anymore and he started to think if they were all had stricken by those lightning.

'Edison!" he called him not bothering to call him in his address anymore which makes him to looked at Cormac's direction and look at to where he was looking at.

They don't know what was going on which they believed that they should have reached their destination by now yet they couldn't see anything not even a ground to land on.

'What the heck is going on?" Edison exclaimed which also Cormac didn't know what is going on too but he was sure that someone was playing with them because from what he knows there is no thunderstorm that is going to happen in this day.

Cormac roamed his eyes through the window and couldn't see a thing but darkness and nothing more. He was searching for the chopper that Michael was riding on although he was not his son but he was worried about him. Their chopper was just following them but now they are no longer in there and if his perception is right then they are flying alone in the air. Their ride was having turbulence again but Cormac wasn't bothered by that because he was far more worried about Michael who he had treated like his own son, he couldn't help but to get worried. They were about to land but how on earth did they even get to that situation so fast without them noticing?



'Your son," he weakly said which makes Edison looked through the window and that is only when he realized that there no choppers now following their tail.



He looked again because he might just not see them but the chopper wasn't there anymore. He was starting to get worried about it now and beads of sweats were starting to form into his brow. Yes, it may not be his true son but along with it he had started loving him from their first meet when he was just a child and even though he was a cold man like they always see him he had treated him like his own and had taken good care of him when his wife which was his mother died early in her age.



'Where are they? Radio them!" he exclaimed as he looked at the two pilots who were not getting hit by those deadly lightnings while the other one was talking to his aviation headset and contacting someone but there was no response to the second line.



'Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! Tell us where your destination is!" the pilot exclaimed.

There was nothing and even the device that they have to use for contacting was useless which makes Edison throw it out of frustration. Cormac understand him because he was also getting worried of his son and considering that he was also with the Vice President. He had a lot of respect on her because even though the people in the White House see her as a weak person he could tell that she was phenomenal woman and he believes that he had seen her somewhere and maybe because he was already getting old that is why he had a hard time of remembering it. But he was sure she had seen her with a man that looks like Dr. Vega but maybe it was just a look alike and he was just making it up to his mind but he couldn't help but to overthink it which where he is good at, in overthinking.

He could still remember that day that he had seen her with a man but he knows it was not the man that is now her husband. They were in the same batch in college and since she had a golden curly hair she could be easily get noticed and that is how he knew her. She was an excellent student who excels in every curriculum and considering that she was taking the course of law meaning she had the guts of being one of the politicians which was true. Because she was one of the candidates if having debates and she was the one who won in that kind of debate.

On the other hand Edison couldn't help but to get worried as he took the device that he use for contacting the others. Tears streamed down to his eyes which he had hated it because it looks like he had already loss his hope but the truth was he isn't. He just doesn't know what to think of where the hell those choppers had gone. The other comrades were also gone considering the chopper of where Brixton is riding.



It was just early in the morning that he had a conversation with him which is not a conversation like because he was the one who was rude to him. If he just knew that this would happened then maybe he had just listen to him but it was too late.

'Maybe we should abort this mission for now and had it go first thing tomorrow." He heard him said and even though it was too much crowded and noises were everywhere he could even read his lips what he was saying to Cormac and somehow it breaks his heart whenever he witnessed that the first one that he goes into is not other than Cormac and not him. But he couldn't even blame him because he was the one who keeps pushing him away because of his rudeness.



Michael's eyes averted when he saw him and General Brixton who is walking in their direction and from the way he looks at his eyes he could tell that he was scared of him that well in fact there is nothing to be scared of him.



He wanted to tell that to him but how?



How on earth will he do it? How on earth will be his first move?



"Son, what exactly are you saying and why?" Cormac asked and before he could even respond he already spoke up which he knew it was already coming.



His eyes narrowed. "Hold back the mission?" Who are you to say so? Who are you to tell someone an arrangement?" he exclaimed and even though he still have not heard of his reason on why but it makes him mad that he will be the last one to know such a thing while he was all open to Cormac. Yes, he was jealous but it is his consequences of what he had done to him but he just couldn't help it.









"Not only me, but also the Vice President," he said unsure and three of them looked to where he was also looking and the Vice President were also looking through their direction and there was a strong spirit in her eyes which he had firstly seen because he had knew her like she was the weakest woman he had ever laid his eyes with nonetheless she was the smartest woman he had ever known.





Three of them looked to where the Vice President's direction that was also looking at them already and Edison shook his head for disagreement. 'She is not in charge in here—we are. We have no idea what happened to them there. We don't confirm what else will happen to them, so if we waste another day on account of your obscure reason, we might not be able to meet up with them all," he said which really makes sense because what they are going into is the President and the other team who is now and maybe waiting for them to be rescued and time is ticking and every minutes and seconds really counts because in that seconds a lot is happening.



He was put to silence and even though he wanted to say something but in the end he decided to shut his mouth and even though he would tell the reason why they will just look at him as a fool who sees the destiny and guidance in dreams. As soon as the two generals were out of their sight, Cormac on the other hand tap his shoulder and nodded his head with sympathy in his eyes and he just smiled at him weakly and nodded.



'Get on with your things, son, we are moving out," he said and he just nodded his head and turn back on his heels with a heavy heart.





He tried and tried to contact them again but there was no response and his fingers were already fidgeting and shaking in tapping and tapping the device in contacting them again but to no avail. He couldn't help it anymore so he walked here the two pilots are.

He placed his hand to the shoulder of one pilot and asked, 'We should land," he said and the pilot looked at him like he was crazy or something or maybe he doesn't even know that there is no ground to land on because they couldn't even see a thing.



He was furious of him by not even responding so he pushed him and tries to hold the joystick and land it when Cormac had grab him and stay him away to the pilots and tries to make him calm but it just got worst when their chopper took a left turn suddenly which makes them stumble and landed to the seats with no balance.



'What were you thinking?" Cormac exclaimed which makes him to look at him with sadness through his eyes and Cormack suddenly regretted shouting at him because he knew that kind of feeling because he had been in that kind of situation . . . helpless.



Edison sniffed and covered his face with his palm and shakes his head helplessly. 'I don't know, I don't even know what I am doing right now," he murmured enough for him to hear it.



Right then he remembered everything from the start like all of those memories started flashing back to him. He admitted he was strict parent to him but he had do it for his own good because he also wanted him to become a soldier because he dreamed that if ever he would have a son he wanted to step his son just along with him and no matter that he isn't his true son he had seen him like one. He knows he felt that he was cold to him but as much as he wanted to show it to him that he is not he was a coward and maybe because he had grown from a strict family also and he was not used of being a showy to what he is feeling but deep inside he wanted to be a normal person which he couldn't help but to blames his parents because they were the one who put them in that kind of situation yet here he was breaking down which as completely surprising because he was known of being a stone. But nevertheless he knows that Cormac was not even surprised because he was the one whom he had burst out of his feeling whenever he feels falling down and he also knew that he see Michael as his own son too and he also wish that he was somehow like him—not afraid to show his true feelings.



They were startled when something hit hard on them which sent an alarm to the chopper. 'Brace yourselves! Hold on!" the pilot exclaimed which Cormac and Edison took their seats and have their seatbelts on.



'Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! We are going down! I repeat we are going down!" the pilot once again said and they could no longer take control the helicopter anymore and they know they are going to hit a ground or what because they couldn't even see a thing it was like they are in a sink hole or black hole.



Cormac already accepted the fate of him being dead but what he had promised back there leaves him a mission which came to be an impossible mission because of what they are facing right now. He looked at the direction of Edison and he was closing his eyes as he come to prepare for the sudden impact since their chopper is going down. From his age he doesn't know what to do anymore he feels helpless.































WHEN YOU ARE willing to shine a light upon your darkness and make it submissive to the dark, you are reborn a hero or maybe a villain. When your darkness becomes your protective inner dragon whom is the servant of doom, bound in duty to obey the dark, the darkness becomes the most soft of black velvets illuminated by the shadows of death.



Astrals were the dead ones and they are his shadows. Dr. Vega couldn't help but to smile at the sight of what was happening above them also Seiji couldn't help but to be more amaze of what was happening there and as he was the one who is holding the silver and gold rifle which Dr. Vega had made it specially for them and the most exciting part as Seiji was holding it is he knows that bullet inside the most banned bullet in the world and those are the dumdum bullets (Dum Dum bullets or expanding bullets) which from what he believes is that it shouldn't be existing anymore but he was even more surprised when he said that it was him who had made such a thing and that had made him think that he could do everything.



Expanding Bullets- the term ‘expanding bullets' refers to the bullets that have a tendency to expand or flatten in the human body. The term was used in the 1899 Hague Declaration, which prohibited bullets like the ‘dumdum' bullet, a British nineteenth century rifle bullet.



Seiji looked at him as he was smiling ear to ear because he had told him that his queen had arrived. He was still in his right mind but even though than that he knows that Vega was not anymore in himself because he was like something different but he had decided to be in his side permanently.



'This is sick," he said referring to the rifle that he is holding and Vega just smiled at him as he watched the chopper going down and from what he believes that was the chopper that she is riding and he felt sorry if something happens to her right now but it was just scratches.





He also knew that any time right then she will go faint because she had no stomach in this kind of scene but he couldn't do anything about it anymore because that is how it is, that is how it runs and he couldn't promise that it would be the last thing that she could witness something like that. He knows that it would the second time that she will be witnessing a person had died in a horrible way in front of her. He could almost imagine her reaction when she found out that they were already eating the flesh of her ex-boyfriends body and so does her best friend and he was already expecting her to throw up but what he didn't expect is that she didn't even get mad or fight him like slap him or punch him. Instead she just sits there with furious in her eyes which she had in the end calm herself.



Vega looked at him and the same as the rifle that he was holding and surely those bullets that would be aimed to a person will die instantly also not just because of the bullets expands when it was already fired in the body but also the venom that he had put in there. His favorite flower which was the Jimsonweed, he had put it there which once the bullet had expand the flower would also expand and its poison will spread throughout the subject's body.



Jimsonweed is a weed of concern for both humans and livestock, owing its poisonous nature to certain alkaloids present in all plant parts, especially in the seeds. It belongs to the nightshade family (Solanaceae) and possesses a disagreeable odor.



'I know you would like it," he said not bothering to look at him which Seiji just nodded his head and laugh and took a sample aim to the chopper which is now getting on the ground.



He believes that it was she who had told the pilots that there is a ground for them to land because as far from what he knew of what they are seeing above there is completely darkness and just the thunders. He had a strong belief that it was she who had advise them to land and he was proud of her because unlike from the other choppers they don't even know what to think instead they panicked and he couldn't help but to think of how total losers are they just like the President who is now dead.



'Here comes the queen," Seiji said and Vega nodded his head signaling him to take an aim because anytime soon a man whose name is Michael will get out of the chopper not even bothering to check outside if it is already safe but who was he kidding because once a person was exposed to his illusions will have it last for an hour once they have get out of that thing and now he couldn't yet completely see the real image—the reality which was the greatest point of fear. They were like a blind people.



Seiji was already aiming for a fire and his hand was the signal for him if he would already pull the trigger. Then the door opened and he was right it was him, the Lieutenant. He put down his hand gesturing him to pull the trigger and so he did. The rifle had this strong impact that whoever will be aimed will have a sudden jolt of impact of the subject that he maybe be thrown away which he was and he couldn't help but to look at the man which was aimed near in his heart, he had aimed for his chest which was now he was completely bleeding and his eyes were wide open and he still had the energy to look at his left shoulder and he bet he was looking at her as he mouthed the word ‘run' and ‘save yourself' which was ironic because he will be the one who will be saving her.



He had heard her gasp when the two pilots were also killed just right in front of her which makes him to look at Seiji who seems to be enjoying what he is doing and he couldn't help but to roll his eyes. He knew that the passengers inside were only them so they decided to go inside to get her because anytime soon she will go faint. How did he know? Simple, because he knows her very much.



He gets inside and carries her in his arms and how he had missed her so much as their skin touched and her skin was so soft that he wanted to pinch it and embrace her tightly. He noticed that there had nothing changed into her physical appearance. He believes that true love is a defender, a ride-or-die connection that is with you forever and in all ways. It is raw, and if necessary, it will roar for you. It will remain with you in peace and comfort. True love will rejoice with you and lift you up. One who keeps you insecure is not in love with you, but rather in possession of you. And, while passionate love frequently takes the form of protective possession, it does reassure and provide security, nourishment, emotional warmth, and consistent kindness. Bringing your thoughts to these issues requires great courage, but the rewards of getting love right are enormous. It is the reward for discovering your own personal heaven on earth, a place where you can be the best version of yourself and pursue your dreams.



Which is why he would do everything for her and right then he will never ever leave her again. He knew she had a family outside but he doesn't care because he was the first one whom she had loved and he was just taking what is his and that day had already come.



'Can you take over and take care all of this things?" he asked and Seiji nodded his head and he loves taking all of it under his control meaning he could do anything that he wanted.



Vega is not worried about Seiji taking over control because he believes in his capability and no one ever knows that somehow Seiji had this kind of memory loss or somewhat like they call split personalities which he have at least three personalities inside of him. One is him being the normal one, two the psycho one who loves to kill and lastly him being a gay. He was the only one who knew that thing and that is also the reason why they have been so close because it was he who is his therapist.



'Leave this to me," he answered and there he knew that the person who had answered him is his third personality which was the gay one.



The gay one also loves to torture men and also because maybe he didn't even hesitant on cooking him a flesh of human body is because he had it from the very first beginning when he was killing a man and had eaten the private part which he finds it disgusting. But it is who he is which he thought he had already cured him using the normal way being a therapist but he guesses those normal way that the commoners were doing is a total failure and his antidote on that are much more great because if a person would take it he or she may cure instantly that is how proud is he of his works. This is how he believes that he was the chosen one because of that knowledge that he have.



As he leave to Seiji everything he couldn't help but to stare at her face for a long time as he takes his walk inside of the building his destination was to his room. That room that he had was the room that they have dreamed of having one because his room there was elegant just like his penthouse to where his house that she had visited.
