Chapter 47

A week later…



Gunner had stayed in the room for a week and he had marked his calendar with that using his smart phone. And as to what he knows before he left in the room and had struggled out there he had at least three breads left plus the new breads that he had steal so it was enough for him to stay there for at least a week. He had himself hidden in the secret area.

As to what he had planned he had to heal himself before taking into an action but he added a lot for that week. Gunner decided to at least workout himself for him to be strong because he knows he might somehow will encounter someone to fight and number one of that is no other than Ibiza. He also wonders if Ibiza is still searching for him and of course what a silly question for him. Ibiza is still there lurking around and also that priest. He still didn't want to trust that priest but as long as he didn't harm him he wouldn't care less.



'This is tasteless," he said as he keeps in munching the bread in his mouth as well as he drink water little by little because it is all he had himself for a week. Two liters of water and he needs to take it little by little just to clenched his thirst.



He do push-ups, jogging himself to the four corners of the room, stretching and every workout that would help him build his stamina more not to get weak and tired easily especially when it comes to running. Also in that week he realizes more of what life is all about.



Gunner realized life is all about surviving and living it to the fullest as long as you want to be alive. Because if you still want to walk in the earth you need to do something and not thinking of what will be the outcome after that. Humans are already build of what is right from wrong and what is wrong from right and that is what they believe and nothing would change that. And if you will ever educate people they will just get the toxicity out of your system and you will begin to be one of them too.



As he took a sleep at night he always had the best of dream that he always wanted and somehow he felt freedom and calmness away from the harsh world of where he is now. It was dream of him and his family. An imaginary dream of having a happy family because he haven't been with him and his twin together with their father because he was always have this trip that their mother is telling them.



But they know that it was all a lie because every night before their bed time they always see their mother crying out of nowhere and even in their young mind they felt there was something wrong. And their father was aloof to them as if he didn't want them. But after all of that Slasher still thought him to forgive and still respect him because in the end no matter how he is still their father and nothing would change that.



Gunner groaned as he tries to stretch himself down there. He cupped himself to search for his phone to at least give him a light inside. He had fallen asleep again because he was preparing himself to sneak out for he knows his body is in a well condition right now. He looks at the screen of his phone and check the percentage of the battery and it was full which makes him smile. He was again charging his power bank in a hidden area that no one would see it. Because he bet that his phone will be losing such a great percentage after he gets out of the room.



He tap the video file on which he had organize it all so he can send the video is just a tap once he had the perfect internet connection. He smiled as to what he had a progress. It was somehow a progress for him.



'I am hoping for the best," he whispered out of the moist air and his hand formed into a fist. He had himself prepared so much and he will not let things out fo control even that if it takes Ibiza for him to fight he had devoted himself already surviving and saving his twin brother and gets him out of there.



And that is when he thought of the outside world again.



'Dr. Vega had been gone for how many days and I don't know if he had arrived yet but I guess they have done something wrong outside and I just hope that even the people are making an action. Saving people and the future. I just can't imagine what the world would be if Dr. Vega will win this kind of world that he wanted from the very first start and I couldn't think of a reason why did he came this far. Gunner hopes that whatever would that reason is he hopes that in the end he wills e himself of how far he have come to destroy the world and will made him realize things that he haven't have in his life. Even though in the end nothing is left he just somehow wishes that everything will go back to normal.



He was also surprise of how his mindset had change from the way he was used to be. He was used to be this young boy who is go with flow motto of his and just had to let it be. No plans and just choosing what was in there and having no efforts with all and that is why Slasher always gives him a word which makes hick of listening but it all changed when he was taken in the horror of WIC. Gunner doesn't want to think that it was a good thing but he must admit to that.

A deep sighed came out of him, 'When will this last?" he uttered as he turned off the phone as he see that it was near in six in the evening. He had already stick to the time that his phone is giving even though he somehow thinks that is was a wrong time because he always set a prank of alarm to Slasher and he didn't change the time after that.



He smiled at that thought of how he put pranks in his twin brother and how Slasher chased him to death. He was hell mad at him yet it changed a minute after he saw a pudding which he brought from the bakery that was easily sold out. Again a tear escape from his eyes and he didn't bother wiping it away he blinks his eyes from the black pitch and the only light coming in from where he is hiding is the small whole where an air could freely go in just for him to have enough oxygen inside. No one ever dare to go inside of the room even Ibiza but he shouldn't be relieved fro that he is still in Dr. Vega's place and anything would happen to him if he wouldn't be careful.

Gunner closes his eyes as he only have thirty minutes left of resting himself and then he will be ready to go out again.



'What are my plans again?" he said as his eyes were still close and his mouth was twitching and talking to himself just enough for him to hear his voice out because if he will not do that he would go insane because of the silence. Silence that would make everyone go crazy and he manages himself to be at least entertained by the help of his phone and always reminding himself every day that his name is Gunner, his birthdate, where he lives, who is his families and many more that would go in his life.



Gunner massages his temples as he groaned, 'Maybe I would be in hell crazy as I keep on talking to myself huh," he muttered and a small laugh came out of his mouth.

His plans was somehow difficult as it is that is why he rest for a longer of time and he must expect outside of the room that there will be changes or anything and Dr. Vega is already there now. One, in order for him to go back from where his brother is he needs to enter again to the office of Dr. Vega and he must make sure that Dr. Vega isn't there or else everything would go wrong he is sure he would handle it in no time he just have to trust himself.

Two, after he would successfully enter into Dr. Vega's office he had to go to where Slasher is and hoping that no one is there but if there is he would try to hide himself from danger and save his energy as much as he can.

Third he would check the generator because it is all that he thinks that would go the machines to shut down. He just hope that it is because if not then he will have to think another plan to shut down the machine because maybe that is the only thing that he can save his twin brother.

Fourth if he already had his brother with him he had to again find a way to get out of there because the passage on where he had entered is sort of difficult to climb and it is slippery and it will be hard for him to carry Slasher there it was way too much impossible. And he was somehow questioning himself on how he Ibiza gets him out of there.



'The elevator," he said answering his own thought of question. 'But where does that elevator goes through?" he added also asking it to himself. He have no idea where it passed through because ha never seen any elevator from where floor he was.



Gunner again turns on his smart phone to look at the time and smiled, 'Fifteen minutes left," he uttered as he again turn off the phone and sling it back to his neck. He was ready and he couldn't wait for it.



And that is when his hand landed to his pocket and suddenly pause. He almost hit his head because of the small space that he is in now. 'The blue serum," he said as he took it out from his pocket. He hasn't had the urge to drink from the first time but he steals at least one bottle of it because of what the priest told him what it does. He just hid the bottle in his pocket because he might use it for an emergency situation. He just hopes that the priest was telling him the truth or maybe it was just him who is making all of the things in doubt? He couldn't blame himself before that because of what he is in now.



He lighted up his phone just to look at the serum besides he still has enough time to spare with it. The serum was in color blue which give him a different doubt of drinking it. The pain reliever already helps him a lot and he hasn't suffered in any pain especially his head. No more throbbing pain and feeling of vomiting for him. He was as good as it was him before.



Gunner again put the small bottle to his pocket and look at the time again. He decided to get out of where he is hiding and ready himself for the battle.



'Time to go," he said as he put the cover back of the floor and have it all fix. Somehow his energy was restored or it was because of the rest. He had nothing food left and even the water was almost out so maybe he had to just to be sure that it would run smoothly. He will bring the water bottle to himself and made a sling to sling it to his shoulder.



'You cannot move on to the future without knowing the past," a cold voice stated which makes Gunner froze from where he was standing.
