Chapter 59

When Gunner and Ross was already the top and searching for a button that could help them to get out Slasher from the globe Gunner couldn't help but to hear shower of rain.



He looked above but it was all again a pitch black and you couldn't even where is the most top of it or even the ceiling. It looks like an endless top but he could hear raindrops and he was sure of it.



'Hey! Ross, are you hearing what am I hearing?" he called and Ross stops from what he was doing and try to hear what was Gunner was talking about. He tilted his head for he is not hearing anything more than the machines and computers.



Ross shrugged his shoulders, 'What are you talking about? Let's be quick before someone else see us here," he said and he just nodded maybe he could save it and tell it to him later when they get out of here.



Gunner roamed his eyes to see anything that he could control but as to what he had witnessed of what had Ross did to the generator he was already afraid that it might happen again. But what is the use if he will not try and it will be useless if he will keep on thinking his fears.



'Could we just break the glasses?" he asked as he keeps on scrolling into the virtual screen.



He heard Ross sighed, 'If we could then why are here?" he commented which made sense after all and how lame of him asking such a stupid question.



'Hey, come here maybe this is the answer," Ross called which quickly Gunner turn his head and looked at him. Ross was gesturing him to come to him and so he did. 'Look," he said as he pointed into the screen.



Gunner looked at it and at last he was sure enough that it was the answer of their prayer. He looked at Ross and he nodded to him telling him that they should do it.



It was now or never.



'Let's do it," Gunner stated and Ross nodded as they together pressed the button and looked at the screen where they could see Slasher.



Nothing happened for a second and Gunner was in bead of sweats already and so is Ross who is hoping for something what is that button do.



They were about to turn their heels when they heard something and immediately they looked at the screen. They couldn't believe it the globe where Slasher is slowly opening and a smoke of fag came out of his shell. And also the other globes are slowly opening they couldn't believe it.

'We did it?" he asked not believing that they did it and before he even know it Ross grabbed his arm which made him look at him. Ross nodded to him and smiled.



'Let's go get him," he said and he nodded and clung into his back for them to go down already.





After that Gunner and Ross gets down slowly still not letting their guard down because they could smell fear in the air and even though Dr. Vega is not around they shouldn't be feeling easy. Gunner could feel that even Ross is careful and his instincts are alert and if Ross is like that then he should be like that too.



'Be alert," Ross said and Gunner nodded as they landed their feet to the ground.



The two of them should have keen eyes and shouldn't be distracted by any things that they would pass through. As soon as they landed a strong odor welcomed them. It was formalin. The persons who are inside the globes are not dead but it looks like they have been injected by formalin if they were right. And while they take their way they could also smell a decay of a body or already dead. They are already expecting that because of the formalin and why is the area in cold temperature.



Gunner was shivering with the coldness of the air that was sipping through his skin. Hid hands were numb already and couldn't feel anything.



They walked in a fast paced and Gunner was heading. He was eager to see his brother and his heartbeat was racing with excitement and joy even though he doesn't what will come up next. How will they be able to survive and how on earth will they escape. But knowing that they have Ross is somehow he felt relieved.





They were almost at the glob of Slasher and they were about turn their way when both of them halted. Ross swallowed his own lump and Gunner couldn't even take a move.

'Come out," a raspy voice called which sent chills through them. They were sure that no one was there.

Ross couldn't believe that he had been felt like betrayed by his senses because as far he knows is his sense of sight and the sense of his smell never failed him. And that is when he realizes that it was effects of the blue serum and he won't blame it because it was his decision after all to take it.



Gunner looked at Ross who was sweating from nervousness and that is when he also realizes that he was becoming in his normal form appearance and maybe his senses are not like before. He somehow looks disappointed to himself as he gritted his teeth and closes his eyes.



'It's okay," he whispered enough for him to hear it and he could sense that he was staring at him and he just nodded telling him that they should show up.



It was Dr. Brace, his father.



He couldn't believe that he would see his father in front of Slasher. Maybe he was already here lurking around and they weren't just aware of it.



Gunner takes his walks which Ross followed and slowly they could see Dr. Brace in front of them like he was waiting there already.

Dr. Brace smiled as soon as he sees their faces and lifted his arms like he was welcoming them by open arms.



'Welcome to our humble abode my son and traitor Ibiza," he said and a small smile creeps in his thin lips.



Gunner couldn't help but to feel sick looking at their father like that and he couldn't believe that it was him that had been their father and not else. Gunner wanted to punch his crumpled face into a shit because of his audacity to call him a son. He had never been a father to them and he had no right to be called their father. He was a stranger, an enemy and a person to kill to. He even has the soul to be next at Slasher. He has no soul and not even a speck of guilt for everything that he had done. Even his own blood he could despair it in the name of his sick dreams.



'How sick," he couldn't help but to say it with disgusted looked which makes his father laugh like he was enjoying a little show. He holds his stomach as if he was aching but he was still laughing and the last they know he had pulled a dagger and throw it to the both of them. The point of the dagger was shining and it looked like it was a slow motion and there Gunner felt that their father is not foreshadowing of what he truly is. Their father is determined to kill him and Gunner somehow felt hurt because of that.



Gunner and Ross quickly avoided the daggers and Gunner was surprised at how he did it. And as they avoided the daggers, Dr. Brace took the chance to run in their direction while their attention was on the daggers. He had ready his punch to Gunner but it was too late when he realized that Gunner wasn't there anymore and someone patted his shoulder, causing him to turn around and made him a strong punch which made him flew into a corner and crashed into the wall. It was Gunner and even he couldn't believe where he had all those force. He looked at Ross and he just winked at him.



Dr. Brace groaned as he winced in pain, but he still managed to stand and smile.



'You're just like me," he said as he looked at Gunner.



Gunner gritted his teeth and he was furious about what he had said.



'I am not like you… don't compare me to yourself," he said as he took a step back ready to get Slasher.

Ross stands in front of him gesturing to him that he had it under control and he should get Slasher out now.



'No one escapes in my eyes you fool!"
