Chapter 123

Vega's eyes looks like loving and full of comfort as he grasp her waist and assisted her with her won feet to stand from the toilet bowl where she had vomited. No one would ever tell that he was that kind of man because of his outside appearance which every women would fall under hind knees and would beg for his love but now she had truly seen his true color yet she was curious of how calm he is in killing such a person with no difficulty that it was like he just killed an insect without even moving his whole body. She couldn't imagine him standing there and just slashed the knife to the two and later on they were all dead.

'Let's get you home now and have this to be celebrated," he said and she couldn't resist but to follow his gesture.

As soon as they get out of the house she didn't bothered turning back with a one last look because if she does she believes that she will only see the ghost of the two which she didn't want.

Vega was the one who drive the car and she was there silently still from her seat and she almost gasp when Vega come near to her and they were just inch to inch to each other and he had pulled a strap and have her in seatbelt. She could smell his minty cologne and as well as the metallic blood that she could even taste in the buds of her tongue.



'Where are we going?" she asked with full of bravery and his full attention was on the road and she noticed that it was already near ten in the evening and the road was empty and there are no people walking which added her fear because she felt like she was in a horror movie.



'To my place," he answered which cause her to turn her head and looked at him with wide eyes and her hands were shaking again and she tries to stop it by holding her hand firmly.



He sighs but his eyes were fixed on the road and she could feel that she was somehow afraid of him which was the thing that he didn't want to happen but that was her wish and he wanted to grant her wishes if that makes her happy in the end but looking at her situation it seems like she was not happy. He grip hardly the steering wheel causing his knuckles turn to white and his veins were showing.



She noticed that and she tries to calm herself and just nodded her head in agreement. She doesn't want to make any foolish behavior in front of him right now if she wanted to live but Vega already knows what was she thinking but all in all he doesn't want to hurt her because he loves her so much.



Vega slowed down and had stop the car near in the corner and her heartbeat quickened when they had stopped. She doesn't know what the reason was but she wanted to live.



As soon as they have stopped Vega turn to face her and took a deep breath and he was calm as before just like a normal him.



'Listen, I was hesitant at first of doing it but because it was your wish, it is what you want and I want you to become happy then I am the one who will grant it for you. I know what you are thinking but I want you to know that I am not a bad person because this is who I am. I know you will hate me and I know any time soon you will leave me but I promise you that I will not harm you and you could do whatever you want. I suddenly regret doing it because of how react right now and what your situation is right now and I was the reason behind all of that. I am sorry please forgive me. Do you want to punch me? To slap me? Curse me? Come on say it? Do you even want me dead?" he rained her with those words which she wants to cover her ears with those long statement because for ounce she doesn't want to hear that word death.



She was fidgeting and just nodded her head and realize that in the first place she was the reason behind of it all and it was her wish making her remember that being careful of what you wish because you really might get it in just a second or in just a flick.

'I am sorry I was the one who had wish such a thing and I am just shock of what just had happened because it was not what I have imagined. I mean, it was just my expression of saying because I was furious . . . I was hurt . . . I was betrayed," she said and as he said those last words she again burst into tears which makes Vega look at her in sympathy and couldn't help but to think of how dumb women are sometimes because they are crying to a wrong guy who didn't even value them yet it was a good thing that a guy like him had become lessen in the earth.



Vega just nodded his head and get something from the pocket of his denim jacket and it was a handkerchief and hand it to her which she gladly takes it.



They get into the road once again with no air pressure and she decided to calm herself and just get into it. Just accept her fate of being such a person like that that even though she was not the one who had killed them—he was also as the same as him, a murderer.



They have been driving for an hour until they have reached their destination and Vega stopped the car in front of an elegant house or somewhat looks like a penthouse. They were like in a subdivision area but as to what she believes that subdivision is only for VIP's person and no one would ever have a house in there if you are not rich well enough because the houses in there have no neighborhoods because you completely own like an enormous land and your house were built in there and of course you have the same as you but it would maybe took a long way before you could see a house again.



She couldn't help but to be amazed because it was her first time to be in there where she could only see it from the magazines like in ZIME magazine.

As Vega parked his car inside of those enormous gate he had the door opened for her to get out of the car because she doesn't even have the strength to do it on her own but Vega was okay with that because he likes serving her like his own queen. He couldn't help but to smile as soon as their hands meet and he have it hold like a fragile thing because it was so soft and her and his hands were perfectly fit to each other. She was like a doll and her skin looks like porcelain and she was as white as snow and her hair was golden in curly locks and her eyes were hypnotizing. Makes him question why does that guy have cheated on her that well in fact that she was so beautiful and have a great heart than any woman which was rare to see.

'Come inside now, I'll cook for you and I bet you are hungry as a cow and tired. You need to rest and forget all those things had ever happened okay?" he said which was soothing to her ears and yes it was what she wanted—to relax and forget everything.



As soon as they get inside she couldn't help but to admire what was inside because it was much more beautiful than the outside. His house was full of glass window and the lights inside were far much elegant to see just like what the celebrities have.



Vega guided her to go to the kitchen and pulled her a chair to sit on and she just calmly get to it while Vega gets a towel and some clothes from his room that he thinks could fit her. After she calm herself he lets her use the comfort room of him to take a hot shower which was her wish because somehow she wants to freshen up because she feels dirty after what had happened just earlier. Maybe by taking a hot shower would somehow takes all of those dirt that was clinging into her and to her soul.



He told him to get down as soon as she finished taking a shower because they will have a great meal for tonight and he promised that it would be her delicious meal that she would ever take in her whole life.



An hour after when she was through of taking a shower she put on the clothes that he had lent her and it was as perfect at it could be in her small frail body. When she gets down she could almost smell of what Vega was cooking and she was sure that it was delicious because of the smell and somehow she felt easy unlike before or maybe because of her bath.



Vega smiled at the sight of her and gestured her to seat to the chair which he had already prepared for her to sit on. She gently pulled the chair and take her sit and just watch him do his thing and he had learned that he was already done cooking. He carefully place what he had cooked to her plate and so to his plate. She was mouthwatering at the sight of it because it looks delicious and it was also her ultimate favorite, the beef steak with lot of potatoes into it, it was weird but it was how she likes it and she looked at him get a wine which was also her favorite the Chateau Margaux. Vega knows what was she thinking and of course he had prepared all of those already in case that one day she will visit his abode and then she already did.



They happily enjoyed the meal and Vega was flattered that she likes what he had cooked for her and she nearly got her plate empty and the wine was almost empty. It was indeed her favorite and he couldn't help but to get fond of her more.

After their meal and he had secured that her plate was empty he then introduced what they had really ate.



'Is it good?" he asked which she had nodded her head with a smile on her lips.



Indeed it was good because he had it tender and he made sure that he got the tender one. Also he made it sure that it couldn't be tasted the metallic thing of it because of its iron.



'Yes, thank you for the meal," she said and he just nodded his head as he wipes his mouth with the table napkin which was next to his plate and so does she.



'Do you love his tenderness?" he asked and she doesn't know if she just misheard him which is why she just nodded her head slowly because there was something in his eyes and then she slowly averted her eyes to the plate and she started sweating when she remembered something.



The meat that he had used was the flesh that he had cut from his ex-boyfriend and from her best friend. She holds her mouth because she instantly wanted to throw up and all of those food that she had eaten were getting to her throat. Her eyes widened and she was trembling of what monster she had meet. Why she didn't even know it from the first place?



She looked again to her plate and her hands were shaking that she wanted to throw the plate to his face.



Vega was smiling and just nodded his head. 'Taste your victory."









She was taken aback when someone was screaming and was taken back the reality. They were in the hail of thunderstorm and they don't know if all of them would make it survive so she loss the strand of her seatbelt and get out of it and walk where the pilots were.

Lieutenant Michael was shouting at her to get back into her seat because it was dangerous but she didn't listen instead she got near to the pilots and they were in a horrible situation. She looks at the window and it looks like forever and that is when she realize that maybe they were just going circle because form what they know they should have landed by now so maybe all of this were just making them fool.

'Go down!" she exclaimed ordering them to go down which was an insane idea because they couldn't even see a ground because it was all pitch black and maybe down there is far more dangerous.



The pilots didn't listen to her which makes it more even frustrating for her part because no one had ever listened to her from the day that they move out and only Lieutenant Michael was the one who accommodates her. She understands that because she was known as a weak person but the reason why she was held as a Vice President of the United States is that she was intelligent and the economics of the United States have grown and more business and income were getting higher because of her knowledge. Inside of the White House she was weak and she was ignore but not right now because as far from what she knows the building of Dr. Vega was in the heart of the forest so there is a ground to land and she doesn't care if they hit a tree or boulders in it what was more important is they know there is a ground in there.



'There is a ground for us to land since we have already reached out destination and the building was built at the heart of the forest," she said which makes the two pilots look into each other and realize she had makes sense.



But because of what they were witnessing they couldn't also help but to conclude that there is no land and considering that their comrades are nowhere to be found that is the thing that keeps them worried.



Unlike her she believes that it was an illusion of him welcoming them. But deep inside her heart she couldn't help but to ask if he knew she was with the comrades also because she was having this ridiculous hopes and belief that he wouldn't even want to harm her.

She shook her head of thinking about it because she feels like she was betraying her own husband and she knows how is that felt to be betrayed because she was once and she doesn't want that be felt by her own husband whom she had loved more than her life. They already have a son which was a treasure for them and they are waiting for her to come back and once she got out safely in that place she promised that she will get down to her position and have more time for her family. She wanted to be a full-time housewife serving her husband and be a full0time mother and watch her son grow. Besides she had already reached her dream of being one in the sacred position in a country and by that she will close the curtain and took care of her treasure.



She didn't realize that Lieutenant Michael was already next to her as he looked at the window and his eyes roamed around. Yes, if someone will looked through the window or someone will be witnessing where they are they look like they were inside of a sink hole like on the science fiction movies that they see in cinemas. She couldn't believe how on earth Vega did that. After that night she had come to know him step by step and she could tell he was a dangerous man and he was intelligent but although she had already seen the darkness into him there was inside of her that she still wants to be with him because she had already loved him. She had this kind of toxic feelings that no matter how his stand is she couldn't have the guts of being away from him, she had loved him already in that small amount of time it was like they were meant for each other and she knows how corny and ridiculous as it think but she really loves him.



'We land!" he exclaimed which makes the two pilots looked at him discerningly and even though they are not sure but the two of them trusted what she and he have said.



The pilot nodded his head and said, 'Get back to your seats and we will kiss the ground. Hold on!"



The hurriedly get back to their seats and put on with their seatbelts and she took a deep breath when the chopper started going down and as she look through the window there was nothing but darkness. She looked at the Lieutenant and just nodded his head and smiled that didn't even quite reach his eyes.



'We will make it," he said and she also nodded her eyes as tears fall down to her cheeks and she slowly closes her eyes and just prays everything that all of it will turn to positive and she hopes that she was right.





A minute passed and the pilot shouted which makes her open her eyes to look at him. 'We are kind of touching a hard part and we think it is a ground! Brace yourselves!" he exclaimed and there a smile written on her face and even though they could even see a thing outside it was still a good news.





They have touched the ground and they have all exhaled the air that they have been keeping for a minute and the two pilots were sweating badly of their decision yet somehow there was a smile into their lips but still there is a worry behind their eyes.

Lieutenant Michael gets a flashlight behind his seat and turned it on to light up which he was going outside and somehow fear runs to her veins because she could feel that something was about to happen. On the other hand he realize that their dreams were a sent message for them not to go on with their mission yet still they have go on and face the consequences of their careless action and here they are facing the fear that was sent by a devil.



He took the flashlight outside and signals the pilots that he was about to open the door which they just nodded their heads. They also gets a flashlight that was just besides them and decided to follow him outside but the Vice President thought It was best to stay inside first and feel the surroundings before going out because they don't know what was out there.

But before Lieutenant Michael could ever get out of the chopper he flew back like he was hit by something and that noise was eerie and making her ears in pain due to the sudden shock. The two pilots on the other hand was hang mouth opened and their hands were shaking as they looked at Lieutenant Michael who was shot in his chest and he was bleeding insanely.



He heartbeat quickened and doesn't know what to do she just stood their frozen to her feet and even though she wanted to scream at the top of her lungs she couldn't even do it. She felt helpless as he looked at her and telling her to save herself and run. There was blood coming out of his mouth as he said those words which she wanted to cover it but it was useless because his chest were pumping the blood every time he breaths. He was stick to the wall of the chopper and the two pilots couldn't help but curse under their breath.

'What the!" the pilot exclaimed as he keeps cursing and cursing under his breath and he run to where the door and decided to get out completely forgetting about the Vice President and he was also followed by the other one.



But before their feet could even land to the ground they were also shit as the same as Lieutenant Michael. Two gunshots echoed and she could even see a smoke which she didn't even know where it came from. They were now lying on the entrance was bath with their own blood but their eyes were open and were gagging a blood from their mouth and their chest were going up and down like they are catching their breath and their eyes speaks that they don't want to die.



She couldn't help anymore and her mouth won't even open and she felt like she was bought back to the past that she wanted to forget. Nit felt the same as it was and she was holding her breath all along and her heartbeat even quickened like there were horses running through the field.

She saw shadows, two men who are slowly approaching her place and she could feel her lips went pale like she was already out of blood. Her hands and legs were shaking and she wanted to slap herself because every time she had that kind of situation she was helpless and then again she is witnessing someone gets killed and in front of her. She was weak in that kind of condition—in that kind of situation. When will she learned the form of being brave? When will her eyes open because if she won't have a spirit to fight then how would she even survive? Those days she was told by him that she shouldn't be weak if she wants to get that position that she dreamed of but she believes that she would get it without using any force and her weakness won't be a hindrance but in the end she thought that he was right all along. Behind her back those people who respects her was just a show off because what the reality is about is that they back stabbed her of being a weak person and how on earth did she even won that position but if it is not about her knowledge getting the United States in full-grown she was nothing, she would be nothing but a weak person.

She averted her eyes as someone was slowly approaching her place and her visions were starting to get blurry and before she could even see their faces and no matter how she force herself not to faint she couldn't even help but hate herself of being such a wimp.
