Chapter 31

Her bones were shaking as if they were about to be broken. Her breathing was shallow as if something was digging into her stomach. The nun smiled as if her cheek would be torn by the stretch. Gunner can hear her bones again clacking as she twist her waist from left to right and laugh like a psycho.

'What's wrong, Gunner?" the nun asked as she rest her head in her left shoulder and her eyes were wide open and the edges were red as blood.

Gunner realizes he can't just keep running until he runs out of energy. He is unable to escape or hide.

What is he going to do?

'Kill," Gunner uttered under his breath that is enough for him to hear. It was impossible for at this range and that kind of his condition but he had no choice after all.

He positioned himself for action. He'll get ready himself to sprint as fast as he could again. He saw that big stone way back so he might go to use it as his weapon. He doesn't know what to do with it but he was thinking of smashing it into her head.

The nun also positioned herself ready to attack. She was tall and getting even bigger and bigger. Her knee socks were bursting out because of her thigh muscles bulging out. If she will be examined she can kill a person in just a snap. Her height was at least a six foot taller than Gunner. Her hands were big and her arms were long. Also her legs were long that can step at least five steps ahead of you. It wasn't normal but Gunner is not surprise anymore because he had seen it to Ibiza. Maybe she was too was injected by that vial.

Gunner didn't have that much time so he sprints a run as if it was a slow-motion which he saw the eyes of the nun following him and smiled obviously loving what she is into now.

'Go… run," she mouthed as he passed through her.

Gunner sprinted and didn't care if he would stumble because of his fast pace. The water bottle that was slinging in his shoulder was swinging yet it did not budge him. He knows that his phone was still recoding a video so which makes that it recorded the nun also.

Gunner was gasping for breath as he run the heavy steps that he was feeling earlier was not here anymore. Suddenly he was full of energy which he did not know where it came from. He can almost hear his heart beat thumping out of his heart. He admits he was scared of the nun to catch him and he will not let that happen.

He can hear screeches coming from the nun.

Her nails were digging into the walls as she sprinted out for a run. The longer her nails were screeching on the walls her skin was peeling off already and also her nails are breaking through. And even though it is bleeding she still keeps on screeching on the wall and seems like even more loving it.

Gunner can hear her stomach growling signaling it was hungry which makes even Gunner more petrified. He had goosebumps as he run in the hallway. He can almost see the big stone that he will use as his weapon. It may not be a help but at least he can have a weapon to use against the nun but other than that he got nothing more. He can fight fist to fist with it but he is not sure if he can last longer with it.

‘This nun seems like she will never get tired of chasing me and have no plans of getting rid of me.' Gunner thought as he run and run and he was already near where the stone was and he just wishes that he can carry the heaviness of it and it will not backlash it to him.

The nun laugh as soon as she sees Gunner slowing down from his tracks thinking that he got already tired of running but as to what she can see they are already near where those intersections are.

Gunner stops from his tracks and immediately carries the big boulder stone with his bare hands and he was surprised by it.

He face the nun that was approaching him smiling all the way and he can still hear the cracking sound which she is making in her neck whenever she twist it like she was in pain or what.

She stops from her tracks and she was just about ten meters away from Gunner. She slowly positioned herself like in a dog position and laughs hysterically and pulls herself back and before he can ever know it she was running coming through his way.

He prepares himself and in any minute he will smash the head of the nun. May it be now or never he will going to do it. He knows killing a person with your hands is a great sin but the person in front of him is not a normal person anymore. If this is just the only way he can save his brother and himself he will accept and suffer any consequences that would welcome him.

His fear heightened, he could smell stale fear in the air and he can still hear the frantic beat of his heart which keeps drumming in his hear. He holds firmly the boulder waiting for the approaching of the nun.



In the count of three…

Two...



One…



Everything went in a slow-motion like the time have been frozen and her and his eyes were fixed in each other.



Gunner leisurely put all of his power in his hand and closes his eyes as he smash.



But it missed.



The boulder makes a thud sound on the floor. And his eyes went wide which means he should get that boulder as fast as he could again. That nun was quick and maybe she had it known that this was coming which is why he had form into like that.



He shouldn't be underestimating the nun.



Gunner holds firmly the boulder and again with all of his force he tossed it into her way and again he missed. But that never stops him. He run to where the boulder had landed and was about to get it when he screamed in pain.



The nun had bitten his fingers and he can hear the clacking sound from it and pulled it harshly using her teeth. Gunner just losses his ring and pinky fingers in his left hand. His hand was now bleeding and Gunner was horrified as he looked at the nun who was now chewing the fingers and the clacking sound that her teeth was making.

And after her chewing she instantly gulp it through in her throat and her stomach makes a loud growl signaling that she was still hungry.



'You have created more than a monster," he muttered referring to Dr. Vega the one who made the vial. Maybe Dr. Vega still doesn't know about or maybe if he could then the world is surely doom and he is not an exception even though he was the creator.

'Always missed," the nun muttered under her breath as her saliva drooled down on the floor like a crazy dog.

Gunner's vision becomes blurry and his hands were being shaky upon holding the boulder. He bit his lip until it bleed. Now is not the time for him to faint and he will not die there without a fight of saving his brother, without a glimpse of his twin. He will not let his death become a loser. He will not let that nun be the cause of his death.

They were at least five meters away from each other and Gunner run towards her direction and he didn't close his eyes not even blink it. He must not miss this time.

As he run the nun did not budge from her place instead she opens her mouth so wide that she can bit a head. She was waiting for Gunner like a fish. Her mouth was wide open and her teeth were yellowish and some are black. Her tongue that was cut in half were a slick and her saliva were drooling on the floor making a pool of it.

Gunner's eyes were determined to kill the nun and every step that he takes is his and his twin brother's life.



He was near.



Almost near.



Just how many steps already and he can hear the nun's growled in satisfaction thinking Gunner would surely missed again and she would have a bite of his flesh shoulder. She wanted to bath with blood. She was thirsty of it.

The nun closes her eyes and her mouth was ready to take a big chunk of flesh but instead she was surprise of the sudden action of Gunner that she did not see it coming.

Gunner took a leap at the head of the nun while holding the boulder. The nun was caught by surprise and just look at what will Gunner is going to do. And with that as soon as Gunner landed smoothly behind her back he smashes the boulder into her face.



There was a splat and lot of blood whisk around the wall. And Gunner have not satisfied with that instead he do it again and again until it was a fifth time. And the face of the nun cannot be recognized anymore. It was all scattered flesh and bones. It was not saliva who was drooling in the ground anymore because it is now thick blood dripping on the floor.

The nun's position was her head was already on the floor and her body was kneeling like a dog.

Gunner hopes that the nun was already dead. His breathing became ragged because of how much energy he uses. Anytime soon he knows he will faint but before that he will not let this day go to waste just because of the nun. But before that he must do some action because he will not let the others or Ibiza knows what happened to the nun. So he must hide her.

The nun was so big and sure looks heavy.

He had no choice but to pull the leg of her and walk slowly until the left side where there are rooms. He will hide her there.
