Chapter 100

Mira turned to look at Christabel and it became clearer to her what really happened.
'Hello Mira, are you there?" Alpha James asked but Mira did not answer her instead she hung up.
'Did he cheat on you?" Mira asked Christabel the moment Christabel opened her eyes. Christabel was really not ready for any questioning from anyone, she needed time to think of herself, but she knew that there was no way Mira would let her rest if she didn't tell her the truth.
Christabel was quiet, she sat up on the couch and turned to look at Mira.
'Yes he cheated," Mira held her chest as it was a shock to her that the same reason her bestie broke up with her ex has occurred again.
'It happened again." Christabel said abs started laughing from the sound of her laughter. Anyone could tell she was very hurt. Mira sat on the couch beside Christabel so she could try and comfort her.
'He must have been drugged or something, Alpha James will never cheat on you." Mira said to Christabel trying to make her feel better and give her the hope that Alpha James will never cheat on her.
Christabel laughed out aloud after hearing what Mira said then she turned to look at Mira.
'I saw him, he looked okay, he was not drugged." Christabel explained to Mira as tears welled down her eyes. Mira went closer to her and tried to calm her down.
'What got over him?" Mira asked herself while she was trying to calm Christabel down.
'Eight years wasted like that. It was such a foool to have thought this will actually work." Christabel said to Mira while crying, Mira was broken too because she know how hard her bestie tried her best to make sure the relationship worked.
'No, don't say such a thing, you have to meet him and talk, then you two will know what happens after that." Mira said to Christabel trying not to make Christabel jump into conclusions.
'Talk? With who and about what?" Christabel asked Mira, because her mind was already made up.
'I told you before right? I told you I'm cursed never to be happy in a relationship." Mira was shocked to hear what Christabel said to her. She was not expecting such a word from Christabel.
'Christabel stop it, you are not cursed." Mira scolded immediately but not in a strict way because she know Christabel was but in her right mental state.
'I know you are hurt but please don't say such things about yourself." Mira consoled her. Christabel rested her head on Mira's shoulder.
Christabel was quietly remembering how her relationship with Alpha James started while she was resting her head on Mira's shoulder.
She remembered the sweet and tough times in their relationship.
'I made lunch already." Mira said to Christabel hoping Christabel will agree to eat it.
Christabel stood up and walked out of the sitting room.
'I'm not hungry." Christabel said while walking away. Mira was not surprised because even though she is not the one that caught her mate cheating on her she felt hearty broken, so she could understand how Christabel was feeling.
Christabel walked into the room, just when she was using her visit to Alpha James to calm herself because she doesn't know if she'll be given the contract she went to propose outside the country.
Christabel flinged her bag on the couch in her room and fell on the bed tiredly. She turned off her phone because she didn't want to be disturbed.
She remembered the scene in Alpha James house and she felt her heart shatter again.
'He is probably the little girl father." Christabel said to herself as tears welled down her eyes again.
'I was so stupid." Christabel cried almost all through the day, while Mira couldn't sleep because she was worried about Christabel.
It's already dark and Christabel has refused to eat dinner neither did she open the door.
'Christabel please open the door." Mira pleaded but Christabel was still crying and wanted to be left alone.
'I wasted eight years of my life." Christabel said to herself wjile crying.
Mira went back downstairs and shook her head. Aloha James was sad, he has been visiting so he can explain himself to Christabel but sge refused to step out of her room.
It's been one week since Christabel hasn't stepped out of her room. Alpha James stopped visiting already.
'Christabel please come out, I'm worried sick about you." Mira was scared because Christabel has not eaten anything since her break up with Aloha James.
Christabel was not responding to Mira. Mira tried calling her phone but it was still not ringing. Mira was trying to think of what's going on in Christabel's head that's making her behave the way she is behaving.
'I'll break the door if you are not going to open it." Mira threatened and waited to see if Christabel would open the door. There was still no response from Christabel.
Mira rushed out of the house and brought back two big looking men to break the door.
They were finally able to break through the door. Mira was shocked to see Christabel lying lifeless on the bed.
'Christabel." Mira ran toward her immediately. Christabel was rushed to the hospital. An emergency treatment was carried out on her immediately.
'Doctor, how is she now?" Mira asked the doctor. The doctor stopped to reply to Mira's question.
'She is out of danger now. Good thing you brought her here in time." The doctor said to Mira and walked away.
'Please can I go in and see her?" Mira asked the doctor while he was walking away and he nodded his head, Mira smiled and walked inside the ward where Christabel was in.
Christabel was still unconscious so she held her hands as tears welled down her eyes.
'I thought I would lose you." Mira said while holding Christabel's hand. For a moment she thought her bestie was going to die.
Mira felt the person that Christabel is even doing all these for is not worth it, he hasn't called or try visiting after visiting twice.
'You need to wake up quickly." Mira said to Christabel unconscious body.
While waiting for Christabel to wake up Mira slept off beside her. Christabel was finally awake but she could barely open heart eyes very well.
Everywhere was blur as she tried opening her eyes. She rubbed the eyes a little and was finally able to see clearly.
She noticed she was in the hospital.
She turned side and saw Mira beside her.
'Mira." Christabel tried calling Mira, but her voice was too low to wake Mira up.
Mira woke up and saw that Aliicme was no longer in the bed, she looked around the room but there was no trace of Christabel in the room.
'Where is she?" Mira asked herself a lots of negative thoughts filled her head. Mira stood up immediately and rushed out if the ward in search of Christabel.
'Was she taken away?" Mira asked herself while she was searching for Christabel. She kept bumping into people clumsily.
She rushed back to the room when she couldn't find Christabel after searching for a while.
Mira was shocked to see Christabel eating in the room.
'How is this even possible?" Mira asked herself looking confused.
'How are you here?" Mira asked Christabel and walked inside the ward. Christabel was confused, how will Mira ask her such a question, Christabel looked around to be sure she is in the right room.
'This is my room right?" Christabel asked Mira while her mouth was filled with junks.
'Yes it's your room, I mean you were not here a few minutes ago and I was searching everywhere for you." Mira explained to Christabel. Christabel paused what she was eating and turned to look at Mira.
'Yes I stepped out to get something I can eat." Christabel replied to Mira. Mira smiled and moved closer to Christabel then she gave her a warm hug.
'You really scared me." Mira said to Christabel with a sad look on her face, it was obvious that she was scared when Christabel was unconscious.
'I'm sorry." Christabel replied her, she knew Mira would have been really scared when she fell u conscious. Mira released Christabel from her grip and they both smiled.
Mira seeped her hand into the pack of Christabel Jung's and Christabel gave an angry glare.
'Sorry." Mira said to Christabel and put the junk in her mouth. The both of them started laughing and the doctor walked in.
'I can see you are okay now." The doctor said to Christabel and she nodded her head.
'Can I leave now." Christabel asked the doctor.
'Yes you can but I need to tell you something before you leave." The doctor said in a really calm tone. The doctor didn't sound like he was going to say something good. Christabel eye opened wider than usual. Mira turned to look at her, they stared at each other and turned to look at the doctor.
