Chapter 46
**at the mansion**
'Oh my God!" Desse shouted as she saw a very bold and clear artwork of her son Louis.
'Who did this?" she asked the maids and guards who were at the scene.
'We don't know who did it, but it was given to us by the chief cook to hang it here." One of the guards replied.
'The chief cook?"
'Yes ma'am"
'And she didn't tell you who handed it over to her, like the person who did the artwork." Desse asked them a little bit angry because she was so curious to see who it was that did the artwork.
'No Ma, she didn't tell us." The guard replied.
'Why didn't you ask when she brought it in?"
'Ma we were busy unboxing the new items that were brought in today when she gave them to us." The guard replied to her, remorsefully.
Desse stopped to stare at the artwork, she touched it so passionately like she was already touching her son Louis.
'I miss you Louis, mummy misses you so much. But don't worry all this is about to end because in a few days the person that is going to cure you will be here. Louis you are finally going to be okay again but till then please hang in there for mummy okay." She said to herself in a very low tone so that the guards wouldn't hear what she was saying as She hugged the artwork so tightly like someone was about to steal it from her.
The guards noticed Desse no longer needed them, she was so into the artwork so they went back and continued with what they were doing before she came in. One one the guard left what he was doing and came to meet her so he could tell her something.
'Excuse me Ma, I have something to say to you." He said in a very low tone.
'Okay go ahead, what is it?" Desse replied to him, curiously.
'Well ma'am I know this may not be true but I think this artwork was done by the chief guard because I have seen him do something like this for his daughter." He said to her in a low tone like he was gossiping and he wouldn't want anybody to hear him.
'Really?" Desse asked the guard confusingly because she had known the guard for a long time and she never knew he had such an amazing talent.
'Yes Ma, this was exactly how the one he did for his daughter was." The guard assured her.
'Alright thanks, you can go and carry on with your work." Desse said as she dropped the artwork and left the place.
Desse went to look for the chief guard, she kept on checking from angle to another but she did see him so she called the assistant chief guard and asked him where Stephen the chief guard was but he said he didn't know.
'Help me search for him, I have been looking for him for a while now and I haven't seen him. Please help me search for him, when you see him tell him I have been looking for him and bring him here." Desse ordered one of the guards in a calm tone.
Whosoever that knows Alpha Riel and Luna Desse would know how polite they are. Desse was brought from a loving home and they thought of her good manners and discipline. Whenever she wants to order anybody the moment she notices that the person is far older than her she orders the person calmly and please was not a difficult word to her.
'Okay Ma, I would do that immediately." The assistant chief guard said to Desse as he immediately went to carry out her order.
Desse was in the living room sitting on one of the chairs checking some of the pictures on her phone.
'Coh coh" Christabel made a sound like she was coughing to get the attention of Desse who was already lost in her phone.
Desse was shocked due to the sound made by Christabel because she was already into her phone.
'Here, have a cold cup of juice. Mummy said it is good for the body because it eases your stress and gives energy." Christabel said to Christabel while handing over the cup of juice to her.
'Hmm, that you very much darling, I really needed this." Desse said as she took a sip from the cup of juice that was given to her by Christabel.
'I knew you would need it because I saw you walking round the mansion inspecting everyone and making sure everything is okay. So I decided to bring a cup of juice to you."
'Awwwn, that's so thoughtful of you my love."
'You are welcome Ma'am, I will get going now I have unfinished business." Christabel said to her left.
Desse finished the juice and continued going through the pictures on her phone.
Few minutes later the guard came back with Stephen the chief guard.
'Well done Ma, here he is." The assistant chief guard said to Desse while pointing at Stephen the chief guard.
Desse was not into her phone this time around so she just dropped the phone and faced them.
'Thanks, you can go." Desse dismissed the assistant chief guard and started a conversation with Stephen.
She adjusted her phone which was at the edge of the table and was almost falling down before she started talking.
'Good afternoon ma'am," Stephen greeted.
'Welcome, where have you been? I have practically checked everywhere in the mansion and you were nowhere to be found. Nobody seems to know where you disappeared to."
'I am sorry Ma, I didn't know that you were looking for me. It's just that I haven't been staying in one place since morning because the Alpha instructed me to inspect them on your behalf before leaving the mansion."
'Really Riel asked you to do so?"
'Yes Ma, he said you were tired yesterday and it would be better if the both of us inspected them together."
'Hmm okay that's very thoughtful of him. That reminds me, I saw some nice artwork and someone told me it is possible you are the one that made it. How true is that?"
'Yes Ma, those are my artwork. They are artwork I have done for a while now but I didn't know how I was going to hand it over. Since there is an event going on I used the opportunity to bring them out." Stephen said to her in a calm tone.
'Thank you very much Stephen." Desse said to him in a soft and greatful tone.
