Chapter 103
Christabel stood up from where she was sitting when she saw the condition attached to the contract. When her secretary saw the condition she was relieved at least now she is sure the contract is genuine.
'Rubbish! Who dares give such conditions?" Christabel shouted angrily. Her secretary was shocked to see her reaction because she thought it was a good condition at least it'll give her the opportunity to finally be with a man.
'Ma'am, this is a big opportunity for us, and a life changer for you, if we lose this I don't think we'll ever have the opportunity to rectify it." Christabel's secretary said to Christabel trying to convince her, but it was to no avail because Christabel was not ready to be with a man again.
She has accepted her fate that she is destined to be alone.
Christabel picked her bag and walked out of the company angrily.
Diego was patiently waiting for her reply, he knew she'd see him as a jerk for attaching such a condition to a contract.
Christabel got to her house, her grandparents were surprised to see her back home early. They saw how upset she looked but they decided to leave her alone so they don't worsen things.
Mira stood up and followed Christabel upstairs.
'What is it? You left here about two hours ago and you're back so soon?" Mira asked Christabel trying to know why Christabel is back home early.
'Please, I want to be left alone." The moment Christabel said this Mira sat in the bed.
'I guess you forgot who you're talking to." Mira said to Christabel. Christabel realizes it's Mira and she'll not leave until she hears the full story of why she returned so early.
Christabel handed her phone to Mira.
'Oh my god! Best friend, you are a billionaire now." Mira said to Christabel excitedly, Christabel was shocked to see Mira's reaction.
'Did you read the whole mail?" Christabel asked Mira, Mira read everything again and she realized she didn't skip anything.
'Yes I did." Mira replied Christabel looking confused.
'Didn't you see the condition attached to it?" Christabel asked Mira just in case Mira didn't see it.
'I saw it and I think it's cool."Christabel was shocked to hear what Mira said.
'Seriously? You'll let your best friend get married to a stranger?" Mira looked at Christabel when she heard what Christabel said.
'He is not a stranger, who doesn't know him in the country, and I think this is a very good opportunity for you to fulfil your childhood wish." Mira said to Christabel trying to make her accept the contract.
'Please leave now, I can't believe you, jeez." Christabel said to Mira and laid on the bed.
Mira stood up and walked out of the room.
'Why will you even do such a thing?" Lucas asked Diego, finding it hard that Diego will propose such an amount just so he can marry his secret lover.
'That's the only option I had." Diego said to Lucas. Lucas was finding the whole thing crazy and the Most crazy one is Diego.
'Has she replied to you?" Diego was calm when Lucas asked this question because Christabel has not gotten back to him since he sent the mail.
Diego sent the mail three days ago but Christabel did not see it because she was on leave as she didn't bother checking her emails.
Christabel raised her head when Mira left her room, she picked her phone and read the mail again, she could recollect that it was only once her eyes met with his so why is he suddenly after her.
The fear of getting hurt gripped Christabel all of a sudden. She doesn't want to ever be heart broken by a guy again.
'I can't do it." Christabel said to herself and buried her head under the pillow.
Seven days passed by and Christabel hasn't said anything to Diego. Mira tried to convince her even though her secretary visited her so she could convince her but Christabel mibd was made up.
On the right day. Christabel woke up and she suddenly remembered what her grandparents told her a few days ago about being old and wished that they could see her happy with her mate one day.
She felt bad that day because she knew they were saying the truth.
Christabel picked her phone and replied to the mail that was sent to her by Diego.
'Yessss!" Diego jumped up from his bed and rushed out of his room. Lucas rushed to go meet him because he was too loud.
'What happened?" Lucas asked Diego, but Diego was too excited to even say anything,
'She accepted my condition, She agreed to be my mate." Lucas was happy for Diego, but Lucas was still wondering why she suddenly changed her mind.
Christabel and Diego met and they were able to get along even though Christabel did not feel any love for him.
Christabel's grandparents were the happiest when Christabel and Diego finally mated and Christabel moved to his house.
It was a life changer to Christabel, her two wishes were fulfilled by the same person. He mates with her and makes her a billionaire.
Though she doesn't love him, at least everyone knows she has a mate now. The news got to Alpha James at this point he knew he lost Christabel completely, but he was not ready to accept that fact.
'I must get her back." Alpha James said to himself, assuring himself to make Christabel become his again.
'Hi good morning." Diego greeted Christabel and tried to give her a morning kiss. Christabel moved her face and immediately Diego got the signal that she didn't want the kiss from him, so she stood up and walked away.
Diego didn't feel bad because he knew she didn't get married to him out of love; it was almost by force.
'She'll come around." Diego said to himself trying to assure himself that Christabel will finally accept him one day.
He walked out of the room with a smile on his face. He was very happy because he knows that he is with the woman he loves.
Christabel was in the toilet hating herself for doing what she did to Diego a few minutes ago.
'What's wrong with me?" Christabel asked herself and placed her hand on her forehead.
