"Thanks for taking my advice darling"
Desse appreciated Riel.
Riel took to Desse advice and called the same people that was present on the day he made the first order so they could be present to see hear his new judgement. He withdrawal the judgement he took on that day and gave him a new one but this time around it was not as complex as the other one.
Manuel the guard was so happy and his mum was also very happy about Riel new judgement. Manuel was her only child and she did not want to see him suffer. Before the king changed his judgement she would always come to Desse begging her to plead with her husband to reduce her son's punishment.
"Why?" Riel asked her.
"Just because" she replied smiling.
"Why would you thank me? I am the one that's to thank you and not the other way round" he asked her with a questioning look on his face.
"Why wouldn't I thank you? Not all husband's take advice from there wife but you listened to me and took it seriously. I definitely need to appreciate you for that." She said to him emotionally.
"Awwn, you making my head sparkle. Thanks darling you are indeed the best, and yes before I forget you give the best advice." Riel said to her as the both of the chuckled and smiled together.
"You welcome darling, I love you." She said to him smiling at each other.
They both hugged each other.
"Hmm鈥� are you sure you convinced me only because you care for our family or you also did it because your fellow woman (the guard Manuel's mother) kept on begging you to plead with me to have mercy on her son. I know how much you love mothers so you can't lie to me." He teased her.
It was not a lie that she also convinced h because his mother kept on crying on uer neck and begging her to plead with husband so her son Manuel could be saved.
"Actually if I am to be truthful with you, my answer would yes. I begged you also because of his mother, that woman has pleading with me to please beg you to reduce the punishment on her son. Hope you know be is her only child. And you know I am also a woman and I know how it feels to see your child hurting and you cannot do anything about it. So I assured her that I was going to talk to and beg you to have mercy on him" she said jokingly.
"Really so you actually used one stone to kill two birds as the saying goes" he said to her as they both laughed about it.
"But seriously, that was very good advice you gave me I was so surprised that they were all happy with my final decision and to even think that my pride was not hurt at all." He continued.
"Hmm鈥� I would be leaving you right now because I have a date with Christabel today and I won't want to disappoint her."
"So you even had plans for today and you never bordered to tell me about it. I noticed you keep doing this every weekend but whenever I do the same you flare up like I have committed a crime." Riel said to her, grumbling.
"Ahh Ray, but you know I always inform you about my plans before I carry it out. It's just that today Christabel begged to take her on a stroll so she can see how beazour city is."
"Hmm, really."
"Riel, you know I always tell you whenever I have plans and don't even say during your own turn I would be angry because you know you are fun of doing things without telling me. And the last one you did really annoyed me because we had plans for that day. Don't tell me you are still angry with me." Desse said to him.
"It fine ooo, you can go I am not angry with you besides, I would really want Christabel to have a view on the beautiful places in this city because ever since she came here all she do is play in the compound or in her room and I am sure she feels bored already but she won't want to say it."
"Awwn darling, you are so sweet."
"Make sure you take her to the park and maybe take her shopping so she could also change her wardrobe, her clothes are already old. Hmm鈥� my credit card is in the drawer you can take it and use it to spend on her."
"Really, so you are willing to give me your credit card just because I said I was taking Christabel out."
"Desse, I said you should use my credit card on Christabel alone." Riel said with her while making sure he didn't have an eye contact with her.
"Hahaha, you must be joking, who cooks a tasty meal without tasting if the food is sweet or not" Desse replied her as she rolled her eyes.
She ran to give him a kiss and left the study. She went upstairs to meet Christabel who was already dressed up while they both went to the kitchen where her mum was so they could take permission from her before going.
"Sorry for the disturbance, please can we have a word with you outside for a minute." Desse said to Christabel's mum who was in the kitchen cooking.
"Hope there is no problem." She asked as she followed them out of the kitchen.
They left the kitchen and went to the corridor where they talked.
"Mummy, Ma'am Desse and I would like to stroll outside the mansion today, we are sorry for informing you now." Christabel said to her mom.
" We are sorry for the late notice ma, i noticed Christabel was feeling a little bit bored and I know the only way to lighten up her mood is by taking her out for a stroll." Desse explained to her, calmly.
"Is that why you both have this expression on your faces. Common stop it you know Christabel is also your daughter. You have my permission." She said to them.
Christabel and Desse was so happy when she heard it she ran to give her mum a hug and left the mansion with Christabel.
