Chapter 38

**At the burial ground ***
The environment was calm and quiet, the only noise or voices you can hear are voices of people crying in pain. Everyone present was wearing black, some had to use glasses because of their swollen eyes while some used a face so it would be hard to see their eyes because it was already swollen.
'May the mother of the deceased please come forward and say her last words to her daughter before putting her six feet below the ground." The man who conducted the burial service said as he pointed at the corpse in front of him.
The late maid's Mum came closer to the corpse with the help of her friend who moved her because she was too weak to move an inch. She was already soaked in tears, her eyes were swollen and her nose was running effortlessly. It was obvious she hadn't stopped crying for days. They brought her very close to the corpse, she sat on the floor and touched the corpse with tears rolling down her eyes as she said
~ 'My daughter, my precious jewel, my sweet angel, my priceless diamond, the one behind my living, my chum chum, my queen, my princess, what more do I have to say to bring you back to life. It feels just like a dream to me that you are gone, because I can remember vividly how your smile would soften my mind and your laughter always left a good aura around me. You left mummy so soon in this cruel world, who would call me mummy just like you do who will crack me up with jokes and make me smile at my lowest days. I wish I had the opportunity to hold you in my hands one last time, I wish I could whine back time. I wish you waited a little longer, maybe then you would have been able to see me for the very last time. I wish I was there to feel your last pain on earth with you. Baby mummy now leaves a life of wishes. You are gone on earth but I promise you that you would never leave my heart, you will forever remain in my life. I also promise you that I would try to be happy because I know you would love to see me happy even if it is going to be pretty hard for me to do. I pray that your soul Rest In Peace. My love, it's time for me to say my final goodbye to you. GOODBYE MY SWEET DAUGHTER YOU WILL FOREVER REMAIN IN MUMMY'S HEART UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN." ~
Her words were so touching, it made people that came feel very emotional. Most of them could not hold back these tears, some went a little far to cry so that the woman wouldn't notice while some stayed there and cried but they didn't make it too obvious. Ever since she had that dream and they came visiting she had not stopped crying. Riel has tried all his possible means to stop her from crying but it seemed like he was even making it worsen.
'It is okay Ma, since the mother of the girl has given her her last words, is there anyone who would love to say anything to her before we put her six feet in the ground?" The man who conducted the burial rights asked again.
Desse was a little bit far from the crowd because she wanted to cry where nobody was. She heard the man and immediately went closer.
'I would love to say my final goodbye to her." Desse while raising her hand.
She went closer to the corpse, she was finding it really difficult to stop crying even when she wanted to do so.
'Maybe it's a punishment from God since it was my son that killed her." She said to herself as she walked closer.
She knelt down and touched the corpse and said in a very low tone that was very difficult for another person to hear.
~ 'I am on my knees begging you to please forgive me. Please forgive my son, my family and everyone in the mansion who couldn't stop Louis from biting you. I feel so guilty everytime I remember you were killed by my son and I can't do anything about it. I know how much you love me and my husband including Louis, you were even one of his favorites. I wish I was there to stop him from biting you, if I could whine back time I would have protected you, I would have warned you harder never to go to Louis's room even if his cry woke everyone in the mansion. I know all that is just a wish I wished could come through. I know I never got to tell you this but, yh, I really appreciated everything you did for our son Louis before he became sick and even when he fell sick. You never gave up on him, you cared for him like he was your brother even till your last breath. MY FINAL WORDS FOR YOU; I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND YOU WOULD FOREVER REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS. MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE"~
She was too weak to stand up so two maids came to carry her up.
'Since the last words has been said to her it's now time for us to put her six feet into the ground." The man continued as six guards walked forward and carried the casket and placed it in the already dogged six-feet hole.
'We have come to the very end of her burial ceremony. May you all go in peace." He continued as he made the sign of the cross and left immediately.
Desse didn't want to wait more time there so she only went to see the woman m, she gave her a big hug and handed an envelope filled with money. She and Riel left immediately and left the maids and guards who volunteered to go. But they left a bus for them to use when they are going back.
